Modern AD and flexible.
What do you like best about the product?
Supports all operating systems, is flexible with it helps a lot in the home office.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I don't have anything that I don't like, as it is serving us well, in this case the price would be a little high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AD for all OS, Linux / MacOS / Windows.
Best Support Hands Down
What do you like best about the product?
If I had to make a list of companies you look forward to having issues with, I would've named 0, but since starting here and working with Jumpcloud, they take rank one hands down. They're the most in touch and quick to answer a call for help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, they are incredibly helpful in teaching you and assisting with all issues regarding Jumpcloud. It's just incredible how insightful they are!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An efficient and admin-friendly way to manage assets and secure the company!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it and don't be afraid to ask implementation is a breeze when support is willing to go above and beyond regardless of your organization size.
Security Admin
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to deploy, The agent works lightly and does not overload the computer
What do you dislike about the product?
That I have no control over the policy at the same level as an active directory, kind of registry change
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had users' issues regarding changing passwords when working from home, changing the password through the system solved the problem
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you looking for LDAP for MACs, this is what you were looking for.
Must have cloud based automated server management tools
What do you like best about the product?
We looked for a central and simple single sign-on solution, with a good user interface and integration. After multiple reviews, we selected JumpCloud over other options. JumpCloud offers a Software-as-a-Service solution that automates the management of server management tasks, such as users, patches, configuration, security, and compliance. Its solution allows users to provide user accounts and permissions to the right servers; tracks packages, dependencies, and packages that are in use, as well as breaks down which patches are critical and secure; and provides the reporting of access, activity, attacks, and configurations
What do you dislike about the product?
Change back and forth between user and admin mode.
Multiple business problems it can solve can be a little overwhelming
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) for Windows server sign in
Persist user groups to Windows local user groups
Minor UI refresh issues

It is the most low-cost yet functional SSO product that I've ever used. It changed my life .
What do you like best about the product?
It is the most low-cost yet functional SSO product that I've ever used. It changed my life .
What do you dislike about the product?
It is less integrated compared to Azure or G-suite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were trying to implement SSO on a combined Microsoft O365 and Google environment. The benefits were that implementing SSO without being tied to either environment.
My use-case is unusual, but shows the quality of the product
What do you like best about the product?
One of the features Jumpcloud has is a web-provisioned Radius service. Radius is essential for security of WiFi networks beyond the most trivial, as Enterprise WPA far outshines WPA-PSK, both technically and operationally. I am using Jumpcloud to do this for a small home network, but where there is no IT support: my wife and children need to provision and operate their own accounts. And all the way up to two-factor for logins, it just works.
What do you dislike about the product?
For me? Nothing. A friend I recommended it to for the same purpose has slightly more users than the free tier, but them's the breaks of using freemium servics :-)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting Radius-provisioned WiFi working in about thirty minutes. Beat that.
A product that just works
What do you like best about the product?
Easy integration and not expensive. Works on all platforms which gives us great flexibility when implementing security. We are able to control Macs and Windows systems in the same environment. We are able to not have a domain controller. Provides RADIUS for our network devices and WiFi. We can implement it as a Identity Provider for several applications using SAML.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a better option to get syslog sent directly to a SIEM instead of the workaround using a S3 bucket.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Single Sign On. System security. Standardized configurations. MFA on Windows.
All about my Jumpcloud journey

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes admin panel works slowly and takes time to load the page. Also not so common, but Jumpcloud agent communication disconnecting and not getting updated user and device information from server. Agent connection must be working 7/24
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User password management is so easy and stable from the admin panel. Also we are using Jumpcloud as Active Directory solution that we implement all our devices from Jumpcloud device management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to use active directory on the cloud, you can use without a doubt. User management is working so well. Device management, too. Policy management is easy to use and working in great shape.
Active directory as a service, Brilliant reliable platform
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of integration across multiple sites & platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would prefer if Jumpcloud was self host.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Day to day user and system management has become really easy.
Excellent Cloud Alternative to Active Directory
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud's support staff and implementation team are outstanding. We had a client who had a failed AD environment and we were able to get them operational with JumpCloud's cloud directory and authentication services in a very short amount of time. We had several white-glove support sessions where they helped us work out issues with the client devices and our overall integrations. We are very pleased with the administration console that is provided. The ADMU (Active Directory Migration Utility) is something that saved us many hours of labor. We were able to migrate domain profiles on local machines in minutes. I don't think we will go back to AD for future clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the ADMU tool is great, they are regularly updating the tool and sometimes the updates do not function properly. A little better beta testing would be nice for this critical tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to migrate from on-prem AD to a cloud identity and authentication provider. We have clients who have remote offices and remote employees and the management of remote devices can be troublesome. JumpCloud provided a cloud environment where devices and users can manage their integrations and identity. It will save time and frustrations with remote password changes.
