Easy to setup and use Security as a Service in the cloud

  • July 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to setup, Easy to use, Good set of integrations
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs better training and help content, or more consulting services for SMBs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted to setup and use single sign-on in the cloud, without having to setup AD, LDAP, etc myself. I create custom apps that depend on these SSO services, and JumpCloud let me develop and test those SSO features quickly and with a minimum of effort.

You're great with everything Jumpcloud

What do you like best about the product?
I don't know where to start, especially. I noticed this when I started this business. He controls computers very well. Thanks to its connection with Google, I can attract users very quickly. Or I can open a user directly via google by adding a manual. It has been a very simple event to open users through the panel at the same time by adding a Microsoft account. I can manage all users very easily by creating a user group. Also, connecting other policies to user groups is priceless. With LDAP, users can securely connect to wifi networks in other locations. The policies of the devices are implemented very quickly. In addition, devices are ready very soon with groups of devices. It has become even more secure with the new feature. You can increase its security with IP-based restriction.I can say that managing Apple devices is a separate task. For the first time, I have never seen a platform that dominates Apple devices so well.I love you Jumpcloud glad to have you
What do you dislike about the product?
Being able to enter the panel via the mobile app was invaluable. It would also be nice to send notifications to users
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The time I'm saving money. We make a profit on the company by paying low fees to the property. I manage the entire system with a single panel.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're tired of microsoft products, I'd definitely say Jumpcloud if you want to get an unlimited enjoyable service through the cloud

Excellent Alternative to Active Directory

  • July 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud hits all of the points I needed to ditch Active Directory. The console layout is good, and it works well for both Mac and Windows machines. The online Knowledge Base is excellent and provides the answers to just about every question or problem. Implementation is straightforward, and adding a service like RADIUS was quite simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see better Linux support. Also, while I like the console layout, some things are a little unintuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to move away from Active Directory and toward something that would allow us to manage our devices better and unify some of our accounts under one master password. JumpCloud ticked all of the boxes for us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do yourself a favor and take a look at Jumpcloud; you can get started for free with a few computers to test it out. Ask questions, reach out to support, and you will see that they are a great company.

JumpCloud User and Admin Portal Review

  • July 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Both the admin and user portal and intuitive and easy to use; the admin portal allows for control and management of user accounts and their devices across different applications and sites. The user portal makes it easy for the user to access their applications without constantly signing in.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have experienced issues with passwords no longer working or accounts getting locked out randomly; resetting the password usually fixes the problem; however, it is inconvenient and disruptive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Both the admin and user portal and intuitive and easy to use; the admin portal allows for control and management of user accounts and their devices across different applications and sites. The user portal makes it easy for the user to access their applications without constantly signing in.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Connect with the sales team first to review and discuss the features and options that would benefit you and your team; there are a variety of valuable features.

Excellent directory replacement/alternative

  • July 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud allows me to manage a variety of devices and distributed people. Being able to have a directory for Macs and Windows without the need for onsite or reserved cloud resources is incredibly helpful. For my organization, the complimentary ten users is also a huge help. We are curerently right at the limit but can absorb the cost of any additonal staff whether paid or volunteer. The breadth of features provides a tremendous value to our organization and we see teh ability to grow when that time comes.
What do you dislike about the product?
For what it accomplishes for me, I do not find any glaring issues. Jumpcloud has been a help at a few organizations for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my environment, I do not have the space, funds, nor time to manage directory infrastructure so Jumpcloud solves a need for me. As our internal staff grows, I am trying to wrangle the various applications and devices that we use. Additionally offering SSO will be a help as we transition to more SAAS solutions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely look at Jumpcloud if you want to remove the need for an on-prem or dedicated cloud server for Directory services.

Active Directory Replacement On the Cloud

  • July 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Multi OS Policies help control features across devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud should consider changing its invoicing and contract renewal to align with services like Office365 and Azure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud, since the beginning, solved the complexity of implementing a Domain Controller, VPN, and the on-premise single point of failure that comes with it. My workforce is 100% remote work-capable, and I obtained the benefit of managing macOS and Linux.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very few solutions like JumpCloud. There is nothing like it.

Easiest IdP to Install

  • July 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of the implementation was remarkable. I have installed Okta, Azure, PingOne, PingFed, Idaptive, and Imprivata and, hands down, JumpCloud was the quickest and easiest to install. The few times I called support the call was taken immediately. Their SAML implementation is excellent. Documentation is very thorough.
What do you dislike about the product?
SCIM support could be better - had some challenges creating custom attributes. There really wasn't any downside.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need authentication services for our web app from an IdP. We authenticate at the IdP and authorize locally. So SSO was critical. Additionally, we use groups and users within our app so SCIM provisioning was a must have.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Having implemented all of the major IdPs I can tell you that hands down JumpCloud's SSO was as good as any and their implementation superior than all the other products I tested.
