Great All-in-One Tool for Identity and Device Management
What do you like best about the product?
What I really like about JumpCloud is how it brings everything into one place — user management, device control, and access policies. It's been a big help for our hybrid setup, especially with users spread across different locations. The fact that I can manage Windows, Mac, and Linux devices from a single console is a huge time-saver. It also makes onboarding new users much easier and more consistent.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things that could be better. The reporting tools feel a bit basic — it’d be great to have more flexible or detailed reporting options. Also, some of the more advanced features take a bit of time to learn, especially if you're not used to scripting or managing policies for macOS devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud has made it much easier for us to support remote users. We no longer have to rely on clunky VPN setups or remote access tools just to do basic user or device management. With JumpCloud, we can manage user accounts, reset passwords, push policies, and even handle device updates — all remotely. It’s saved us a lot of back-and-forth and reduced downtime for our team. Being able to support users no matter where they are has made a big difference in how responsive and efficient our IT support can be.
Streamlined, Scalable, and Reliable: Why JumpCloud Became Our Go-To Solution
What do you like best about the product?
What I really like about JumpCloud is how it brings everything together in one place. Instead of using a bunch of different tools to manage users, devices, and policies, we can handle it all from a single dashboard. That’s made life a lot easier for our team—especially when supporting multiple clients with different setups.
It works across Windows, Mac, and Linux, which is a big plus, and the integration with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 makes user onboarding and offboarding smooth and fast. Being able to push scripts and security settings remotely has saved us tons of time, especially with so many remote workers now. It just helps us stay organized and ahead of issues before they become problems.

What do you dislike about the product?
What I don’t like about JumpCloud is that implementation can be a bit tricky, especially the first time around. It’s not always as plug-and-play as you’d hope—getting everything set up just right takes time, and the learning curve can be steep if you're new to the platform.
Also, we’ve run into a few cases where user profiles on devices got corrupted after pushing changes, especially on Macs. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s a real headache to fix and can disrupt the client experience. For a tool that’s meant to make management easier, those moments can be frustrating. I’d like to see more stability around profile handling and a smoother onboarding process overall.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is helping us solve a few key problems that used to take up a lot of our time and energy as an MSP.
First, it's drastically simplified identity management across different systems. Instead of dealing with separate tools for Mac, Windows, and Linux, we can manage users and devices all from one platform. That alone has saved us hours each week.
Second, it's made onboarding and offboarding much more efficient. We can quickly create user accounts, assign access to apps, and apply security policies with just a few clicks. No more bouncing between multiple systems or manually setting things up for each new hire.
It’s also helping us stay ahead of security needs. We can enforce MFA, push out policies, and keep track of device compliance remotely—super important with so many clients now working remotely or in hybrid setups.
Overall, it’s helping us work smarter, reduce human error, and offer a more consistent and professional experience for our clients. It’s made our service delivery faster, more reliable, and more secure.

Easy to use interface and very powerful
What do you like best about the product?
How fast everything syncs from the web to the users device. You can almost instantly unlock a locked account, remote in, or change a password.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up users takes a bit of getting used to and can cause issues if not properly done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to help out clients with simple things such as logging in to their computer to troubleshoot or unlocking their accounts.
JumpCloud help use managing devices with ease
What do you like best about the product?
We are MacOS heavy company, and enrolling profiles through Apple Business Manager is painful. Jumpcloud MDM enrollment makes it much easier to enroll all devices online.
Also, support has been really responsive.
Also, support has been really responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features (for example, identity) are difficult to understand what they may affect the device and setup.
For example, we are setting up with GoogleWorkspace, but it is really hard to know the expected outcome with syncing the user with the devices

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping use to make our device secure for compliance reason
System administrator with 3+ years' experience.
What do you like best about the product?
Simple and user-friendly interface. Convenience in administering several tenants at once (Multi-Tenant Portal)
What do you dislike about the product?
the licensing system is not entirely clear
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralize device identification, access, and management. Which in turn reduces the workload on the support team from end users
Managing everyone's computers and accounts from home is actually possible
What do you like best about the product?
For me, what stands out most is that JumpCloud brings everything under a single dashboard. Having a unified directory is a big advantage – you can easily handle users, groups and their accesses all from one place. I am dependent on the device management capabilities to keep security policies updated on every computer such as applying encryption or locking the screens. Thanks to SSO and SaaS apps working together, logging in for the team becomes simpler and safer. It blends a number of IT activities into a logical process.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the same time, the price can seem a bit technical and difficult to understand, as it depends on the features and customer types chosen. Scaling may not always make the cost impact obvious right away. Some very particular or specialized ways to set up the platform might require users to consult the offical docs or get assistance from support. Most of the interface is easy to use, even if sometimes there are features that some users find hard to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud basically takes care of the problem of managing many identities and devices. Doing things the old way, we set up users in various places by hand – separate accounts and different cloud applications. Giving and removing employee access took time, was slow and might leave unnecessary access open. Nowadays, JumpCloud acts as our central identity store and main device manager. After adding a user and assigning them to a group, they will right away get access to their devices and the apps. Offboarding allows us to instantly block all access which has made work more effective and secure.
Onboarding mutiny
What do you like best about the product?
MSP multitenant portal is great. Plus the fact that JC can scale from an MDM to full zero trust IdP provider is great in theory.
What do you dislike about the product?
Onboarding was terrible to be honest. I got skipped around from manager to manager, my transition manager didn’t respond to emails, overall very poor job.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MDM services and user IdP for another client. This is beneficial to providing full protection DLP on endpoints.
Moneyfarm's Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Here's a shorter version of what Moneyfarm likes best about JumpCloud:
What We Love About JumpCloud
JumpCloud has been a game-changer for Moneyfarm by providing a single point of management for user identities, passwords, and device policies across both Windows and Mac environments. This eliminates the need for separate tools, greatly streamlining IT operations and reducing administrative overhead.
We particularly appreciate the ability to onboard users, enforce consistent password policies, and apply granular device policies regardless of the operating system. Centralized password management, including MFA, has significantly improved our security posture and user experience. Its intuitive interface and cloud-first approach perfectly align with our needs, making IT management much simpler and more scalable.

What do you dislike about the product?
While JumpCloud is excellent, there's always room for minor improvements. The initial setup, especially migrating existing users and devices, can require a bit of planning and attention to detail to ensure a smooth transition. The documentation is good, but sometimes specific edge cases require a deeper dive or a call to support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud solves our critical need for unified identity and access management and device management across both Windows and Mac, ending our fragmented IT systems. This allows us to enforce consistent security policies and manage user passwords centrally, eliminating "password sprawl" and improving overall security. The direct benefits are significantly increased operational efficiency, a stronger security posture, and a much simpler, more scalable IT management experience.
Very good fit for our all-in-one cloud needs
What do you like best about the product?
The main thing we needed Jumpcloud for was an Active Directory replacement. Not only did JumpCloud do this well, but there were tons of other features that we eventually needed anyways. In other words, Jumpcloud was a PLATFORM, not just a single-service replacement. The other features needed were also absolutely necessary, as they were required for SOC 2 and ISO compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some minor features that did not work or was buggy. The "Remote Assist" never worked on any machines, whether it be Windows or Mac. There were also a few instances when a user's password expired, they were locked out of their macbook, and resetting their password from their user console meant that keychain was wiped out and all local passwords stored on their machine was lost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The specific features we needed in Jumpcloud were: Cloud directory, 2-factor authentication, Mobile Device Management, RADIUS, which all integrated into SSO, VPN, and MFA. We needed all this to be compliant and Jumpcloud helped solved this in a single platform. Otherwise, we would have needed several different vendors to integrate all these into our compliance needs, which would cost more and harder to manage across multiple vendors.
JumpCloud is user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to navigate through the menus
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be inconsistent with how things work successfully
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to manage our laptops and utilize sso user groups to access applications easily
