Ease in IT Administration with Some Limitations

  • February 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of working with JumpCloud's features. The mobile device management and administration part seems super useful to me. Additionally, the command section helps me a lot when managing issues with devices or IT problems in the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to viewing the outputs of the commands, you absolutely have to go to a separate section; it's not like you have a clear and precise link on the screen about the results. You can only receive an exit code and some logs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud to manage IT and as an identity provider, making it easier to assign permissions and roles. It is also useful in the management and onboarding or offboarding of devices, and the mobile management and command functions simplify handling issues in devices or IT.

Secure, Easy Single Sign-On That Replaced Active Directory

  • February 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud has allowed us to implement single sign on with many of the tools we use. We have used it to replace active directory and in turn we have gotten a better level of security and ease of use for our users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The large scope of operating systems they work with at times can cause our mainly Windows environment to be missing some features. Although when brought to their attention it usually gets resolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allow us to use signle sign on is letting our users have to remember less passwords and in turn our IT support requirements have gone down.

Jumpcloud: Fully Featured AD/IdP with Frequent, Bleeding-Edge Updates

  • February 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud is a fully functional AD/IdP that also includes MDM and asset inventory features. What I like most is that the product aims to stay on the bleeding edge, with new features released frequently and often driven by feature requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside with Jumpcloud is that it isn’t as ubiquitous across the industry, which means there are fewer native integrations available from other software providers. As a result, the SSO integrations can feel more limited, especially when they’re restricted to SAML 2.0 only. The best solution to this is keeping the product relevant with new but meaningful and wanted features so that it becomes more of an industry standard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud is the backbone of our identity governance as well as our device and asset management. It enables our IT organization to fully support all end users and endpoints, covering everything from software to hardware.

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to do everything in one place with JumpCloud, having uniformity across everything, and getting insight into everything from one central point. It's helpful to know that our environment is stable and monitored, with everything working correctly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest issue was understanding the local user accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud for directory and device management, which helps automate office processes. It centralizes everything, ensuring a stable and monitored environment while maintaining uniformity.

Simplified Identity Management with Excellent Remote Access

  • February 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that when someone submits a ticket in JumpCloud, I can quickly pull up their details by their name, which gives me a ton of insight into what's going on with their device. Whether they're having issues with administrator access or something else, the JumpCloud dashboard provides a lot of insights. We can see if a machine's hard drive isn't large enough or if it needs replacing because it's too old. This feature stands out the most. I also appreciate the software management capabilities that allow us to auto-install applications like Chrome or Adobe and keep them updated without hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have some issues when people reset their passwords. It causes issues with their Microsoft account. When they log in, they can't get into Outlook or Word or anything, and we need to jump through a few hoops to get to that. But I think that's a Microsoft issue. The initial setup was a little painful, probably more just a training issue on our end. We didn't realize some of the users required administrator access to update certain applications. We had a bunch of issues with that and had to manually migrate everyone's local user profile to their new JumpCloud profile. The initial setup was a little rocky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud solves cybersecurity insurance issues, providing identity management and control over devices linked to users. It simplifies remote support by enabling remote access and offers insights into user issues. The JumpCloud dashboard helps manage devices, and auto-updates apps like Chrome and Adobe.

Efficient Asset Management, Needs Remote Fix Enhancements

  • February 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use JumpCloud for managing access and fixing IT issues, which I find very efficient. It makes it very easy to manage fleets under one platform. The commands features are particularly helpful, along with the strict insights and data into devices. It allows us to remotely fix bugs and resolve issues instead of needing to physically travel to the location of the device. The initial setup of JumpCloud was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the ability to send Ctrl-Alt-Delete is only partially working, and the ability to properly restart the computer is also a problem. When remotely connecting to a device, even if the device is just locked, it fails to send Ctrl-Alt-Delete and restart requests, which means I can't get the device back to a remote connectable state.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud to manage access and fix IT issues remotely, saving travel time. It simplifies asset management and provides detailed insights and command features for device issues.

Robust SSO, Needs Better Data Presentation

  • February 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use JumpCloud for SSO login for my laptop, and it connects seamlessly to apps like Slack, Google Workspace, and Salesforce via SSO. I appreciate that it enforces MFA to keep my accounts secure. It secures the WiFi, and I like how my company consolidates all tools into one platform with JumpCloud. Having all of my apps stored in JumpCloud is convenient because whenever I want to log in, I can just go there. The feature where even the laptop password and JumpCloud password are the same is helpful for preventing unauthorized access. Besides, JumpCloud enforces conditional access, not only checking the password but also verifying if the laptop is managed by the company, blocking login if any check fails. Additionally, the initial setup was smooth for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that JumpCloud asks for a password change every quarter, which gets me out of password in my muscle memory. The way it presents collected data from logins and device details needs improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud consolidates all my tools into one platform, secures my WiFi, and provides SSO login for apps like Slack and Salesforce. It enforces MFA and conditional access for enhanced security, ensuring only authorized devices can log in.

Central identity and device management with SSO & Conditional Access that accelerates onboarding

  • February 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What convinces me the most is the central management of all identities and devices on one platform. Particularly helpful is the combination of Device Management (macOS/Windows), SSO, and Conditional Access. I can fully onboard new employees within a few minutes – register the device, assign policies, distribute software, and control access to SaaS tools.

Also positive is the clear structure of the policies. Changes (e.g., password rules, MFA enforcement, or device configurations) take effect immediately and are transparently traceable. This saves manual interventions and reduces support effort.

Another advantage is the integration with common SaaS services. SSO and automatic provisioning (SCIM) significantly simplify user management and minimize sources of error.
What do you dislike about the product?
Partially, the user interface appears less intuitive with more complex configurations (e.g., nested policies or conditional access). Certain settings are distributed across multiple areas, which complicates navigation and is time-consuming.

The reporting could also be more detailed and flexible. Customizable reports or more comprehensible audit logs would simplify the analysis of changes and security events.

Additionally, clearer transparency in licensing models and feature dependencies would be helpful to better plan costs and scope of functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before the introduction, we had distributed systems for user management, device management, and SaaS access. Onboarding and offboarding were manual, error-prone, and time-consuming. Access rights had to be maintained separately in multiple tools, leading to inconsistencies and security risks.

With JumpCloud, we manage identities, devices, and SSO centrally. New employees are fully set up in a short time (device, policies, MFA, SaaS access). Offboarding is done with a few clicks, immediately revoking access.

This noticeably reduces administrative effort, lowers the risk of forgotten permissions, and significantly accelerates internal processes. Additionally, we have more transparency over device compliance and user activities.

Accessible Free Trial and Flexible Permissions for Secure, Efficient Access Control

  • February 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about JumpCloud is that it offers a free trial for small teams, which makes it very accessible for startups and growing companies to get started without high upfront costs. I also appreciate its flexible permission configuration, which allows administrators to easily customize access controls based on different roles and needs. This flexibility helps improve both security and operational efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about JumpCloud is that administrator seats are also billed, which can increase overall costs. In addition, when a user account is suspended and access is disabled, billing still continues. The charges only stop after the user is completely deleted, which can be inconvenient and lead to unnecessary expenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is solving the problem of managing user identities and access control across multiple systems in a centralized way. For our team, it helps us manage permissions for more than 10 users and administer access across over 50 servers from one place. This reduces manual work, improves security consistency, and makes onboarding/offboarding much faster and less error-prone.

JumpCloud Streamlines Authentication and Access Management

  • February 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We’ve been using JumpCloud across our entire environment, and it’s been a great tool for authentication and overall management. It’s helped us keep access and administration more streamlined and consistent.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be a bit of a learning curve when you first start using the platform, and it may take some time to fully understand how everything works. However, once you’ve explored it and gotten familiar with the process, it becomes easy to navigate and work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides us with a platform to manage access and infrastructure in a centralized way, which makes day-to-day management much easier. Having a catalogue of users and servers is also great for audits, whether it’s for authentication purposes or for keeping the system clean and well organized.
