Effortless Setup, Robust Device Management

  • August 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy JumpCloud was to set up, allowing us to seamlessly transfer configurations from Microsoft. The centralized management of device provisioning and security gives me peace of mind. I appreciate the crucial features like remote locking and wiping of devices, ensuring our intellectual property is protected. It's also easy to purchase, and I value the integration with other systems like Google Workspace.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it challenging that JumpCloud doesn't save the PIN required to unlock a locked device. Even as a super admin, regaining access to this PIN would be beneficial if it were saved securely somewhere and accessible to the billing admin or super admin.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud centralizes user provisioning and device management, ensuring security. It simplifies setup, allows remote device wiping, and secures intellectual property, which is crucial if a device is lost.

Superb and Secured Device Mgt Tool

  • August 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud makes it easy to manage users, devices, and access from one platform. It’s great for setting up secure logins, enforcing MFA, and handling remote work needs. It supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, so IT teams can work across systems easily. However, some settings can be tricky to find at first, and advanced reporting is a bit limited.
What do you dislike about the product?
One small bug remaining on the field expiry date which cannot sync from AD to JC
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud helps my business by:

Centralizing user access to apps, systems, and networks — saving time and reducing errors.

Simplifying IT operations like onboarding/offboarding with automated provisioning.

Enforcing security policies (like MFA and conditional access) across all devices and platforms.

Enabling remote work by managing identities and devices from anywhere.

Reducing tool sprawl by combining directory services, MDM, and SSO into one platform.

Straightforward, reliable SSO product with a ton of integrations

  • August 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud does a lot right. The user and group management is dead simple — intuitive, quick to set up, and easy to maintain. Integrates with a ton of services out of the box, which makes it a solid hub for identity and access. The cost is reasonable too.
What do you dislike about the product?
No pulumi provider for IAC makes it a hard tool to automate against. While there is a terraform module, that isn't our primary IAC provider. Alongside this the mobile app has a bad name and is often hard to locate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrating SSO with all of our applications has been a breeze. Previously we had hundreds of users using custom accounts for every single service.

JumpCloud - Useful Tool

  • August 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is good for managing (in my case) a small business's laptop/desktop inventory. Scripts are useful for pushing updates, and I can keep track of users as well as devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
One frustrating element was as we were offboarding, I exported our list of users as a backup. When I found that I needed to restore it, I was unable to. I was able to restore one particular user (who was logged off accidentally due to me deleting her account as we were offboarding) by inputting her information manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was helpful for managing our users' devices.

Jumpcloud makes user and device management easy

  • August 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of adding new devices to manage and the built in integrations make it easy to use. Setting up groups for devices and users is a breeze and attaching security policies to them is as well. What use to take several hours now takes just a few minutes. I spend more time waiting on software updates and reboots then actual user and device setup. Customer support is quick to respond when I have run into an issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
No major dislikes more like gripes. Password manager will sometimes have to be re-setup after updates for users and either paired with another device they are bound to or from a backup. M365 integration doesnt allow the use of Display name for mailboxes, pushes First/Last and we have to routinely fix in M365 admin for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No on premises hardware to maintain. Easy user and device management.

What do you dislike about the product?
New versions works very nice on an Ipad so much better allowing admin to navigate faster!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New hire Setup - easy to do and create user profiles. By removing the mix up of several dozens accounts - JC makes the process step by step is to follow

Unified Management with Strong Security Features

  • August 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate that JumpCloud natively supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, all within a single console. The zero trust model that JumpCloud employs is fantastic, effectively bridging gaps with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and endpoint management without involving third parties. The platform works particularly well for Cloud deployment, which is crucial for us. I find the Single Sign-On (SSO) and SAML support to be very robust, with a wide range of supported applications. The simplicity of deploying JumpCloud as an Admin without sacrificing power is another highlight. The easy deployment process, especially with the USB option, was a huge advantage as it allowed us to get online before our target deadline. I also value the unified identity and device management capabilities that facilitate seamless operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've noticed that some macOS app deployments are not being successfully implemented, and it seems there may be a need for advanced endpoint controls on macOS. Also, more pre-built integrations could help reduce the administrative workload. It would be beneficial to have more conditional access limitations, and improving reporting and visibility would be great. For instance, having granular location detection across all devices would be a valuable feature. The product could benefit from more pre-built configurations and stronger reporting capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud hardens our security controls, manages and unifies identities across systems, and centralizes logging and analytics for audits.

Using JumpCloud at schools

  • August 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a managed service provider supporting independent schools, we've found JumpCloud to be an excellent solution for managing user identities and securing school-owned devices. What we appreciate most is how it brings user and device management into a single, cloud-based platform. It allows us to remotely manage and support both macOS and Windows environments—something that's particularly valuable in school settings where mixed device use is common. JumpCloud’s flexibility and integration with various systems has helped us streamline account provisioning and improve overall security without adding unnecessary complexity.
What do you dislike about the product?
While no system is perfect, JumpCloud has been a strong fit for schools looking to modernize their identity management. Some advanced setup steps can be a bit technical, and reporting could be more comprehensive, but overall it’s a powerful tool that helps keep users secure and devices under control—even across multiple campuses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud has helped us solve some of the biggest challenges schools face with identity and device management. By centralizing user accounts and enabling remote management for both macOS and Windows devices, we’re able to streamline onboarding, enforce security policies, and support staff more efficiently—without needing to be on-site. It’s allowed us to deliver a more secure, consistent, and scalable IT experience across all the schools we support.

Very robust platform functionality

  • August 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One tool that handles many security functions for your organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way licensing is handled is a bit wonky. They take the unti count of a high water mark within the entire month and bill you monthly for users exceeding your agreed-upon user count. So, if you mistakenly import a group of users that weren't supposed to be there, and immediately delete those users, you will still be billed for them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud gives us the ability to centrally manage a fully remote workforce. With a mixture of Windows and MacOS endpoints, JumpCloud gives us the ability for centrally based IAM. Remote endpoint management is critical for a non-traditional corporate network and this tool gives us the ability to do just that along with access management.
