Useful and practical

What do you like best about the product?
We use JC at my organization to sync users' local credentials with their Google Workspace account. At the start we hit a few snags as we were learning to use the tool but the support provided by JumpCloud's team was instrumental in getting our users enrolled. Our organization mostly uses M365 so we only have a few users on JumpCloud but they are able to sign in every day and reset their passwords with little to no issue. The integration is very simple as well, all you have to do is send the user an invitation and have them click on a link.
What do you dislike about the product?
We accidentally synced every user in Google Workspace in Jumpcloud and were being charged for almost 200 licenses when we only needed 9. It would be nice if they were to implement a warning to prevent that from happening, and make it easier to remove users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to a merger, our organization is split into two, where one half of the users are on Microsoft 365 and the other half are on Google Workspace. Previously we were creating Microsoft accounts for everyone, even those who mostly used Google because it was the only way we knew to remotely manage and sync their logins. Once we discovered JumpCloud, we were able to reduce the licensing fees from Microsoft by offloading those accounts. Now the users in our other company can be onboarded with just a Google account. It reduces our workload and makes things easier on end users since they have fewer credentials to keep track of.

What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have anything I can think of. I have been able to address any issues with the help of JC support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to have a single console that provides a way to manage and govern all of our devices, users, and their access to our softwares.

Centralized Identity Management with Seamless Integration

  • May 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like JumpCloud because it allows me to centralize the management of user identity and devices for Windows, Mac, and Linux. The integration and focus of everything in one place is great, making it easy to use the installed agent for asset management and tracking equipment without extra systems. The cross-platform device manager and asset management features are convenient, and the secure remote assistance simplifies remote connections. Automating processes, especially for offboarding, is really helpful, and it makes my life very easy since I don't need to connect to multiple systems—just one. The platform is intuitive, and while it's not very easy, it's not complicated either, and the account manager's assistance is a plus. Compared to Okta, I find JumpCloud to be better and cheaper.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have a specific complaint about JumpCloud. Most of the time when I'm complaining about something, I just contact their support. And within a couple of hours or a day or two, they're solving the problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud centralizes user identity and device management with Windows, Mac, and Linux, simplifying onboarding and offboarding. It offers automation, password management, asset management, and secure remote assistance, making management easy and efficient without multiple systems.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to use, and powerful. From one software i can manage identities, account creation on my devices, onboardings and softwares. I can deploy devices with zero-touch, instantly working out of the box. The customer service is available and ready to assist in every occasion
What do you dislike about the product?
The Software management section falls behind other competitors, as JumpCloud needs some particular file extensions for installers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With jumpcloud we phased out the local Active directory, and integrated an MDM to easily manage our devices

    Architecture & Planning

Straightforward and Honest

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud makes it incredibly easy to manage users, devices, and access policies from one central platform. I like that it works well across Windows, macOS, and Linux systems, which is great for a mixed environment. The SSO and MFA features are straightforward to implement, and I don’t need multiple tools for identity and device management anymore. The UI is clean, and the automation options (like Commands and Policies) save a lot of manual work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting and analytics features could be more advanced. While the core functionality works well, sometimes it's hard to get detailed, customized reports or export data in the format I want. Also, the initial learning curve was a bit steep due to the number of features. More guided setup or onboarding help would be nice for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud has helped us consolidate multiple tools into one unified platform, eliminating the need for separate solutions for directory services, MFA, SSO, and device management. Before JumpCloud, managing user access and devices across different operating systems was time-consuming and inconsistent. Now, we have centralized control over identities, access policies, and device security, which has improved our security posture and saved our IT team a lot of time. It's especially valuable for managing a remote or hybrid workforce, where centralized, cloud-based control is essential.

A great entry level all-device service

  • May 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can effectively manage all device types from a central place. Great integration with common IdPs and 3rd party applications. The simplified implementation compared more bespoke device specific solutions is the biggest draw. Specific solutions for windows and mac may have better overall controls, but JumpCloud is easier to manage for one person with multiple responsibilities. Customer support is also great, I can pretty quickly get help when I need it, either via the support portal or email.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation can sometimes be hard to find and/or follow. I can use the docs to get started but often find myself having to just experiment with the platform to get something done. That's not always bad, but sometimes can affect end users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can cover a lot of of my Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) requirements with Jumpcloud. For me, being a one man shop, it's the most effective way to support linux, mac, and windows devices without having to implement a solution for each platform or risk accepting low oversight.

Struggled But Learned too!

What do you like best about the product?
We rolled our jumpcloud across our organization to centralize identity and device security. I was specially working for this platform during the replacement & implementation of IAM(Active Directory) and MDM and policy enforcement tool.

Few benefits would be,

It is SaaS based Cloud Directory
Secure Login Access with TOTP for Win and MAC OS
RADIUS Integration availability for single sign on
What do you dislike about the product?
Jumpcloud is helpful, but we faced a few issues:

1. API can be generated for once in one admin account, We couldn't set different read/write permissions for different integrations
2. We couldn't deploy the screensave with the exact format(PPT-slideshow) and timing we need(achivable in AD)
2. Linux support is okay, but it needs to be stronger for better control
3. Some Windows policies were hard to enforce
4. There is no way to block users from logging into company apps on personal devices, since SSO works in any browser Jumpcloud console login(device based login restriction is missing)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud has benefited us in lot,
1. Reduced tool sprwal and admin overhead
2. improving security through consistent and MFA
3. Making onboarding and offboarding easier for SSO integrated applications
4. Giving better visibility into user and device activity
5. MAC device management with MDM, Device policies
6. Network controls problems were also solved.

Capable but easy to setup.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The implementation was straightforward, most policies are well described and I have to very rarely use a custom script or policy. The number of features is not overwhelming either so the admins have quite easy time to orient in the UI. Integration with GWS works smoothly as well, if only the password sync worked both ways.
The support team via live chat is very responsive and fast and will log a ticket on behalf of you if they aren't able to resolve it on the spot.
The speed of delivery to the endpoints when it comes to commands, policies or software installation is extremely fast when compared to MS Intune for example.
Overall I am very satisfied with the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no mobile app and the admin console GUI is not responsive which makes it hard to use on a small screen.
We have experienced some weird behavior during enrollment of two of our users but given we've already enrolled 150 other devices without issues I will give it some slack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deployment of new devices, pushing security policies and measures, updating the OS and applications of our endpoints, generating report for audits

Jumpcloud Making Identity and Access Management Easier

  • May 29, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
The new AI-powered search is a great improvement, making it faster to locate assets and relevant information. It streamlines management tasks and enhances overall efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform is improving, some troubleshooting steps are still not well-documented. Expanding the official documentation with clearer guides and examples would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud helps centralize identity and device management across our organization, reducing the need for multiple tools. It simplifies user provisioning, enforces strong password policies, and gives us secure SSO access to critical apps. Managing remote devices and users is now far easier, saving time and increasing security. It’s also helped us improve compliance by centralizing governance and access controls in one place.
