JumpCloud Experience Review

  • November 19, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Secure Authentication: It supports multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO), making it easier to secure access to applications and services while improving user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it's a solid solution for our organization, these are some areas where users have expressed dissatisfaction. It’s still a powerful tool, but not necessarily the right fit for every organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform’s ability to centralize identity management would save time and reduce administrative overhead. Additionally, the scalability of a cloud-based system would allow me to easily grow the organization’s IT infrastructure without the need for additional on-premises hardware or complex configurations.

What do you like best about the product?

JumpCloud’s Directory-as-a-Service provides a cloud-based directory platform that works across multiple systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), applications, networks, and file storage systems.

Learning Curve:
The platform is feature-rich, but new users (especially those unfamiliar with cloud-based directories) may find it overwhelming to set up and manage initially.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fragmented Identity Management:

Jumpcloud Review

  • November 18, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Unlike traditional on-premises solutions like Active Directory, JumpCloud is cloud-native. This eliminates the need for physical servers, making it easy to scale and maintain, especially for remote-first or hybrid organizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some users find the pricing model to be on the higher side, especially as organizations scale and add more users and devices. The costs can add up quickly, which may be a concern for smaller businesses or startups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote Work Enablement:
Problem: Managing and onboarding/offboarding remote employees can be inefficient and insecure without a cloud-based system.
Benefit: JumpCloud’s remote provisioning and deprovisioning capabilities ensure employees can be added or removed from systems and applications promptly. This simplifies IT workflows, reduces administrative overhead, and enhances the remote onboarding process.

The windows MDM that gets the job done!

  • November 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
First, I’m only using it to manage Windows devices, so I can’t speak to its performance on other platforms.

JumpCloud uses an agent to manage Windows devices, not just the MDM framework. This has allowed me to set the user to non-admin while still being able to perform all administrative tasks.

It also integrates seamlessly with Chocolatey, making it easy to deploy and update any apps from the catalog.

Additionally, it fully integrates with Okta, allowing users to log in to their Windows devices using the same SSO password.

JumpCloud also offers built-in security policies that I can enable with a single click, such as USB access control, BitLocker, screen lock, etc.

Lastly, it supports upgrade rings, which makes pushing security updates a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI could be improved a bit.

It would be great if there was better integration with Office365 apps to install only the necessary ones.

Other than that, I don’t have any major complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
App updates.
User non-admin.

Intuitive product

  • November 15, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is a tool with easy usability, both for the administrator and the user.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it is an easy tool to use, for the administrator, the front of the page has a lot of information. I believe that the information and searches could be more organized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gave more autonomy to users to perform password resets for their accounts, allowing the support team to address other issues.

Simplify your access

  • November 14, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As Support, what I liked the most was the ease during support, spending less time accessing everything through a single platform, not to mention the ease of integration and the number of resources available at our reach. Another point to add is the ease of implementation due to the platform already having a range of pre-configurations and rules. Our support became simpler to resolve, consequently making the end user's life easier as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
No considerations to be made, as I had no issues with access or support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems with access requests, MFA reset due to equipment change, application of rules to Windows and iOS devices, and security policies.
