If there is even a minor change in the network, users may find themselves unable to access the JumpCloud platform, which means they cannot sign in.

JumpCloud - An Intutive MDM solution
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of policy implementation and device enrollments as per business requirements. Found JC to be flexible and complete as per current MDM scenarios. Have found the support also to be quite impressive with lesser isues and satisfaction. Integrating JC with internal AD and other integrations were found to be quite simple and effective. We have been using this frequently as a part of business requirements and has been effective to manage the workforce as required.
What do you dislike about the product?
No such downsides to mentioned as per current scenios of operations. Thanks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Application deployment via MDM work profiling and workforce management. Custom applications push is one area which is immensely helping us in day to day operations.
Simplifies distributed authentication in Linux and NFS environments
What do you like best about the product?
My primary reason for using Jumpcloud was to distribute authentication across multiple Linux systems. Then, I started using Ldap for NFS and the Ansible-like scripting tool to distribute system administration tasks.
i like the ease of provisioning. I typically take about 15 minutes to provision ten machines.
There are “bag of parts” tools for distributed authentication in Linux, but JumpCloud pulls it into a consistent interface, allowing me to focus on the task.

What do you dislike about the product?
Oh, there are rough spots. For example, when you create a new account, JumpCloud doesn't allow you to set up automount before creating accounts. I might be able to solve that with the scripting tool, but I haven't had time to experiment.
There are other issues with SSH key handling. It is assumed that there is only one SSH key per user and that it is used on all the machines a user is given access to.
If you cross a security boundary, depending on policy, different machines or classes of machines use different SSH keys for a user. Overall, these are relatively minor issues you can work around. I just don't like having to work around these issues.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem is reducing the effort to provision accounts and machines, solving a variety of related authentication issues such as two-factor ID and unifying user ID slash group ID across all machines period
Jumpcloud for IT organizations
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the fact that it supports multiple os and SaaS and software patching all in one single software
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the filtering and views are not great so gathering information is not great, and the command runs are a buggy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multiple OS support and device management
Easy to deploy, and use cloud-based management system with constantly expanding features
What do you like best about the product?
Jump was very easy to setup for our school district. We have been using it for over a year and a half. Our entires staff is configured for MFA so staff members use the system multiple times per day. Since our organization started using JumpCloud there have been several new features rolled out. Integaring most of these new features was failry simple and did not take much time. Any aasistance we needed cutomer support was able to swiflty walk us thorugh and get us back on track. Our primary use for JumpCloud is a cloud-based AD server for staff managment as well as the MDM for device managment. We are currently exploring the option of adding a few of the differnt security models offeres.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far theonly negative I've seen is that some devices runnging JumpCloud that have been sitting or inactive for sevral months sometimes have trouble communicating back to JumpCloud to get a login push or will not accept a TOTP code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main reason for going to JumpCloud was our school district now requires MFA for all users. We were also looking for a cloud-based AD solution for secruity as well. With remote support we have eliminated the need for third party software to remotely help staff members thorugout our district.
Easy to use and Easy to intergrate into our systems
What do you like best about the product?
We have many different systems that we have wanted to use a single MFA for, but had a split enviroment with different auth sources and user permissions. Jumpcloud has been able to help us solve all of this by intergrating those systems and passing creditials and adding MFA to any system. It has helped us improve our deployments. We dont use many other features but the MFA and synce, but those where easy to use and implement. There Customer support has been create every time we have needed help.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was more branding we could do. We use the solution for both internal and external clients so it would be nice to have more control of branding.
