Botify SEO Platform Review
What do you like best about the product?
There are a number of things to like about Botify, one of which is the analytics in-built with the platform. The different phases of search - indexing, crawling, rendering are all covered.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are very few things to dislike with Botify. Although, the 'Intelligence' section which provides us insights to improve SEO can be made more descriptive for people to make changes quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving our page rankings on the search engines through Botify. The main benefits are not wasting time on 'figuring' out search by our own and quickly getting to a solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The documents regarding JavaScript integration are well-written. Do read before implementing the solution.

What do you like best about the product?
It is the most customized SEO Tool I have ever seen because I can customize the reports or do an analysis and choose any amount of filters to analyze data. I can do a logfile analysis, content gap analysis and ofcourse any technical SEO related issues on the site.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing I dislike is that it has so many filters and parameters and at times it became a lot more confusing for me to engage with the tool. It is so vast sometimes I tend to get lost in the reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I see a lot of benefits with Botify. It helps me understand the log files, to analyze content gap analysis, in-depth crawl, create custom reports based on the issues.

What do you like best about the product?
Botify provides you with a huge deal of core SEO signals as part of its basic configuration. The ability to track the progress and movements for these signals between snapshots is invaluable and is the backbone of our core SEO strategy.
It is remarkably robust compared to competitors in the market. The JS rendering support is top-notch. As someone with a background in software development, who works mainly with SPA's and Javascript-laden sites, I greatly appreciate this. Other suites we've used in the past seem to overlook or delegate this to a mere feature. With Botify, it's integrated as a core part of the platform, and the Javascript rendering data is freely available in the analytics.
We utilize ActionBoard to enable teams to work independently from one another. LogAnalyzer allows us to find gaps in coverage - both crawler and referral traffic. RealKeyword acts as a supplement to Google Search Console and enables us to review the efficacy of our keyword strategy.

What do you dislike about the product?
Botify currently lacks XPath support for custom extractions, which is often more robust and functional than its CSS and regex counterparts. Additionally, it only supports up to 5 custom extractions per project. Additionally, segment support in the analytics module is excellent, but I would like to see the ActionBoard module to be extended to allow for more precise, low-level segmentation than it does now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We employ Botify to help resolve visibility, depth, and linking issues on large-scale SPA projects bogged down with legacy code, external dependencies, and a mix of different frameworks across multiple domains. Our main goals were finding out drains on crawler budget, bringing burried content to light, resolving indexation issues and highlighting content issues and conflicts.

If you're looking for a place to start developing your SEO strategy, Botify is an excellent first step to help you gain a birds-eye view of your situation and to help track progress. Modules such as the ActionBoard and features such as segmentation allow you to cut projects into smaller, more manageable sections that enable teams to work independently from one another.

The Botify tool is constantly evolving (sometimes too fast) and always offers new features related to current events.
The advantage of Botify is that most useful features or KPIs are often highlighted (or via shortcuts) to make it easier for non-experts to use.

Sometimes too many "features" (in the choices) which can "lose" the user.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In recent months we have been working on the quality of content: we have been able to identify poor content, consuming crawl budget and not bringing in traffic. And so we have been able to clean up the site significantly.
From a technical point of view, Botify is also very useful, especially for identifying performance problems (to be further developed with other specialised tools).

I have been using Botify since its inception and have never been disappointed.
I just sometimes lack the time to use it fully.

Botify is THE go-to platform for SEO activities in Enterprise companies
What do you like best about the product?
Botify provides a comprehensive platform with tons of data capabilities and integrations so that you can get the most out of your SEO activities and earn more visits from search engines.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's by far the best tool in the cloud crawlers/log analyzers market, but it is also expensive (on par with others in recent times) .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crawl issues, understanding a website's architecture, etc. Analyzing logs from Googlebot and Bingbot and maximizing their crawling so that they understand the real website status.

Make sure you have your data ready (logs, analytics integration if its not GA) to make the most out of it.
Inevitable tool for large scale websites.
What do you like best about the product?
Regex, segmentation capabilities... way ahead other competitors. It allows a level of granularity and comprehension over my sites that i wouldn't be able to understand otherwise. The double filtering options also enables a level of analyisis which allow to identify easier issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
For large enterprises with a lot of websites, certain accounts have loading issues while accessing the main dashboard; also as user i never feel like i have the "control"; other tools like semrush or ahrefs allow you to feel more freedom in a way, not sure on how i would traslate that into botify.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A crawler that provides me alerting issues and warns me before i would notice about risks for the organic health of my sites. It is also a tool without which i wouldn't know how to handle large scale migrations; the capacities for following redirects, cookie access to domains, custom extractions for parity analysis...
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Might be harder to configure than other crawlers, but once you have your segmentations in place it's simply superior.

Sometimes too many information : it would be good to put forward what is more important in order to facilitate the reading of the results and the prioritisation of what needs to be fixed/optimised on our website.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Botify to improve technical aspects : linking, depth of your pages, structured data, reduce orphan pages, identify 404, reduce duplicate titles, etc

Botify is the most complete and powerful optimization tool.

Botify connects all my relevant data sources into a single platform, allowing me to assess the strengths and weaknesses of my website holistically. It provides insightful snapshots that identify opportunities, and being able to dive into each metric helps me size the effort and impact for prioritizing development. I have always been pleasantly surprised that Botify is adapting and releasing features as SEO evolves.

It is such a comprehensive tool that it is easy to confuse similar metrics. A more accessible knowledge base would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving problems with crawl budget and indexation. I have used it to increase crawling and indexation efficiency by 75%.

What do you like best about the product?
Botify is a great tool to analyze your web data using a bot crawler and a log analysis. You have a total view of what Google see and what you must optimize quickly on a technical path. The platform is user-friendly, and the data set is complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortulatly, I still need content tools such as SEMRsush, SmartKeywords or SEMji to analyze and optimize my ranking though content. It would be an asset to plug such tools in the botify system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Botify help us to understand our technical issues but also are navigating system (netlinking). Thanks to Botify, our websites are easily crawled, and issues are quickly solved (especially after a major update on our sites).
