Horrible on boarding. Tool seems to be ok.

  • January 26, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We may not be using best practices but we've established a hierarchy and workflow that works for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their on boarding is terrible. Talking to anyone from the company is terrible. To get anything done they require you schedule a 30 minute meeting which ends up being a discovery call so they can set up an actual meeting and go over your questions.

You ask for a meeting on a Monday morning and schedule it for Wednesday mid-day, but they don't respond with meeting information, the conference line, or any call-in details until 9pm on Tuesday.

I would never recommend this to anyone. In fact, had we not already paid and implemented, my team considered ripping it out and going with Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our busy of team of 3 can track all of our projects in one place with work flows.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The features and functionality are great for small teams. But there are better tools out there with better work flows, templates, and a team that can help you implement properly.

Easy to use Team Task management software

  • January 25, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
SaaS with simple GUI. Extremely flexible. Easy integration with email system. I can forward an email to Wrike and it converts it into a task. I can quickly see task assigned to each team member and review updates. For complex projects we use dependencies and timeline to track progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
Properties of primary task do not propagate to subtasks, like permissions on directories/subdirectories.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coordination of work/tasks for my entire team. We are not forgetting to accomplish work assigned to us.

Robust tool for streamlining your projects and setting processes for all users

  • January 25, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very customizable software for a range of industry types. We're currently setting up "Work request" forms to streamline various marketing processes (for example: a user wants a designer to build an email template, the intake form asks all the right questions so the designer can start right away with all required info). The terminology takes some getting used to, but overall offers many ways to set up projects and tasks. Integration with other apps is incredibly thorough (Office, Dropbox, MAPs, Quickbooks, etc.). The email integration feature is great (you can create and assign tasks directly from your email client). Access to in-house and external contractors/vendors is also very useful. Another cool feature is the comment feature for screenshots. A user can click on an area and leave a comment for others to view (like comments in Adobe PDF). The timeline view is really nice to see where along the process of the project you are and what else there is to be completed. Video tutorials on the dashboard are AWESOME.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because it is quite robust, the software takes a little while to learn.

One improvement that could be made:
If an HTML file is uploaded to the system to be reviewed by assigner (an email template, for example), there is no good way to add comments to the file for the developer to make changes. Screenshots are required and then it becomes a little cumbersome. I'm not sure what the solution is, but it is currently not set up to work well with HTML files (maybe a progressive enhancement?).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our use case involved internal and external folks (vendors) so we needed a system that worked via the cloud. We also wanted to create a better work flow from the time an "order" is placed to the time the project is completed. Managing projects through email became incredibly cumbersome for everyone in the marketing department, and things were getting lost. This also helps our colleagues in other regions of the world remain engaged with our HQ.

Wrike Project Management... pretty good!

  • January 25, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I liked the ability to collaborate at ease with my colleagues. The interface was simple and easy to use. The flexibility of customizing to our needs was really nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing major that I disliked. We were able to find a cheaper option and unfortunately the free version of Wrike wasn't enough for what we needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The better organized our processes and tasks are, the better we are able to collaborate. It was easy to view and share tasks. Made the task of teamwork easy!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely give it a try!

Good Project Management Tool

  • January 24, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I used Wrike at my last job within the marketing department -- Wrike is pretty easy to get ramped up with. It allows some pretty robust functionality for marketing teams to plan, track, assign, request, and report on tasks. Good user settings. Commenting to users and setting workflows with individual campaigns/projects gives good visibility to see who has reviewed what and when. The folder and organization system is very intuitive, as is the ability to clone entire campaigns and create templates. I'd recommend Wrike if you have a dedicated project manager who will be able to be trained on the product and manage the product (then train the rest of the team if needed).
What do you dislike about the product?
This would be a pretty hard tool to manage for a team who didn't have a dedicate project manager. There is a LOT of functionality and cool stuff you can do in Wrike to see customized reports and adding vacation days and cloning campaigns, etc etc. It would be a waste if the time was not dedicated upfront to learning the tool and really maximizing its potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing marketing campaigns, assigning tasks, reporting on completed tasks, visibility into what the marketing team is working on, collaborating with team members
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool with all the functionality of any great project management and collaboration software, best utilized if you have a dedicated resource on the team who is willing to put in the upfront dedication to learn the tool inside and out, get trained on the tool to maximize its potential, and then share that knowledge with the rest of the team.

  • January 24, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and low cost in comparison to enterprise software.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not as full featured as enterprise level software. And you cannot use it offline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing projects and keeping all players accountable and on track. Also very useful to forecast project delays.

Easy interface, integrates with all the necessary tech

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Overall it is super easy to use and manage projects. Allows for a lot of flexibility in how you organize your folders and how you want to view projects. Great for a big team where everyone wants to look at things in a different view.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support is a little on the slow side to respond. It is really a platform meant for very little interaction/guidance from their team. Lack of them making sure you are getting the most of your account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
organizing a team of 12 marketing professionals.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
make sure you have an organized folder structure. Or else it could get a little messy.

Seemed like a great tool, but it ended up being too complext

  • January 22, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Wrike seemed to have all the features we needed and SAS model was great. We were able to customize it to meet our specific project needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wrike's flexibility was too easy to get ourselves into trouble. A few well intended people made it way to complex and difficult to manage all our work. Onboarding was also very lacking in the beginning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Wrike to manage all of IT's work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use Atlassian's Jira instead

Wrike for project management

  • January 20, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Wrike is great for planning out projects and creating all of the associated tasks and milestones. It's also great with the dependencies between the tasks so I can see critical paths. The descriptions in the tasks make it easy to keep everything in one place - Wrike is my go-to.
What do you dislike about the product?
There should be a way for the system to automatically prioritize your pipeline/folders. Right now if my #2 project changes priorities I have to go in and renumber all of the projects below it.

There also isn't a way to plan a task for the middle of a day. If I know a team member won't execute and complete a task until the afternoon, I can't drag the task to the afternoon. I have to make it all day or have a dependent task occur in the morning of that same day (which isn't always the case with my projects).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in project management in operations. Wrike helps me backlog projects and keep a current pipeline to make sure I can keep track of all the projects we're currently running, and projects we want to tackle in the future.
