What do you like best about the product?
The way that Grammarly improves and recommends my text.

It consumes too much memory and resources from my computer!

As I am not a native English speaker, Grammarly helps me improve clarity in my text. Furthermore, it enables me to communicate more effectively with Japanese foreigners.
The Killer Feature: Seamless Microsoft Office Integration
What do you like best about the product?
As someone who lives and breathes written communication – crafting reports, emails, proposals daily – a reliable grammar and style checker isn't a luxury; it's a necessity. For years, Grammarly has been my go-to tool, and its Windows integration, particularly with Microsoft Office, remains its absolute killer feature. Grammarly remains an incredibly powerful and valuable tool for anyone serious about polished, professional writing. The real-time checking and seamless correction within Word and Outlook are unmatched and significantly boost my productivity and confidence. It catches subtle errors and improves clarity consistently.
Unsurprisingly, MS did not master integrating Copilot. So Grammarly remains the go-to tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, its most intrusive feature on Windows: the floating bubble UI (officially called the "Grammarly Widget"). This green circular icon insists on hovering over every text field across all Windows applications .
Unnecessary Intrusion: In apps where I don't need or want comprehensive Grammarly checking (like quickly renaming a file or typing a simple URL), the bubble is visually distracting and completely irrelevant. It clutters my screen.
Accidental Activation: Its positioning often overlaps with interface elements in other applications. Moving my cursor near it can accidentally trigger its expansion, blocking content I'm trying to see or interact with. This breaks my flow constantly.
Inconsistent Hiding: While you can minimize it to a tiny green dot, it frequently pops back up when you start typing somewhere new. The option to disable it system-wide, or selectively per application, is lacking. The settings offer ways to "hide" it, but these feel like temporary workarounds rather than proper solutions, and it inevitably reappears.

In my role as a lecturer in nursing, I produce a substantial volume of written content, including module guides, assessment briefs, student feedback, research papers, and internal documentation. Grammarly assists in several key areas, such as clarity and tone, where suggestions often help refine complex academic language, making materials more accessible for students (especially those with English as an additional language or neurodiverse learners who benefit from explicit, concise instruction). It also helps with accuracy in grammar and syntax. At the same time, its ability to detect tone ensures that what I write maintains a constructive and appropriate voice, especially important in a profession grounded in care, ethics, and inclusivity. I would also praise its ability to support the highly technical language I often use, such as when outlining complex disease processes, anatomy, and medication names.
Grammarly also helps speed up the editing process, particularly when I am drafting an article for publication in nursing journals, allowing me to spend more time focusing on content than copyediting.

What do you like best about the product?
It has great grammar correction tools and it works well, the optimization of text helps send professional messages. The ai tools to write is also amazing. The plagiarism checker helps check new text and organize information
What do you dislike about the product?
The extension of this tools sometimes interrupts a lot when writing something, the pro plan is a bit expensive for it's offerings. The UI can be improved a lot from here
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps check writings and correct mistakes before sending in the professional documents, helps write ideas into mails and text using AI. Also helps check the text for any plagiarism which is helpful to avoid duplicates
I am an author and I find Grammarly invaluable
What do you like best about the product?
When I am writing a novel, the first draft is written at speed, so Grammarly's suggestions and corrections are invaluable and save much time when it comes to editing. The tab corrector is particularly useful as it will fix all mistakes in a single sentence. I use Grammarly all the time and also find it helpful when I am dashing off emails and other correspondence.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I am editing, the system remembers changes I have made and highlights them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am self-employed, so I do not run a business, but Grammarly is a useful tool to me as an author.
Perfect support for people which want to improve performance

I am very happy with the help it provides. It allows me to type without the need to worry about making mistakes.

So far, I haven't seen any. Maybe that in some places, even if you use it to rewrite, it goes back. But the issue is more like the platform (the site)

I use Grammarly all day every day, and it's excellent at catching the errors my fingers make when they type faster than my brain can keep up. Missing words, double words, random letters mashed into the middle of a sentence; it catches all of it. I like that it works in the background and nudges me when I do something stupid. Also helpful when switching tone between casual emails and more polished client content. Wouldn’t write without it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not love longform content. If you're editing a 120K-word manuscript, Grammarly will lag like it’s being asked to solve quantum physics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly solves the problem of me thinking faster than I type. It catches the little things so I don’t have to slow down or second-guess myself mid-draft. It also helps me switch gears quickly between casual and professional tone without overthinking every sentence. Basically, it’s my backup brain for the boring stuff so I can focus on the actual writing.
It's convenient but not so flexible

I can fix my English on my PC very easily. I found they can refrase the friendly to formal. That is very handy for me, who is not a native English speaker.

I set Australian English, but it's more American English most of the time. It is English, but I find it's not always easy to understand in American English.

While Grammarly is incredibly helpful, I’ve noticed that the premium subscription cost feels a bit steep for smaller teams or freelancers. Occasionally, it can also misinterpret brand-specific jargon or suggest over-corrections that don’t align with our content style guide. I’ve also found that its plagiarism checker, while useful, isn’t always as comprehensive as dedicated tools. Lastly, I wish the mobile app had more of the same robust features available on desktop.
