  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly identifies grammar mistakes, typos, awkward phrasing, and clarity issues as you type, saving time and enhancing your writing before sending or publishing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Grammarly occasionally highlights sentences that are actually correct, particularly when I write creatively or use idioms, regional phrases, or deliberately nonstandard styles. Sometimes, it suggests changes that aren’t necessary, which can make my writing seem more generic or mechanical.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By streamlining error detection and offering insightful suggestions, Grammarly significantly reduces the time you would otherwise spend on meticulous proofreading and editing. This innovative tool transforms the writing experience, making it not only faster but also more effective across a wide range of documents, including professional emails, detailed reports, and academic essays. As a result, writers can focus more on their ideas and creativity, enhancing the overall quality of their work.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Grammarly plugs into other programs and works on any site that I allow it to. I find it to be pretty accurate, and I like that it gives me options. It's great that Grammarly is like a proofreader for me, saving me money and time as a writer and editor. I also appreciate the one-click option to apply changes, making the process seamless. The initial setup was super easy for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the suggestions are a little bit dated or overly formal, especially when I'm writing in a more casual voice. It's like the rules and language flow are more like they used to be ten or twenty years ago.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly is like a proofreader for me, saving me money and time as a writer and editor.

Effortless Error Detection for Flawless Writing

  • December 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It catches simple mistakes that i miss when writing emails and essays
What do you dislike about the product?
All of the AI. I don't need help writing. Also, I dislike that when I want to fix one thing, but Grammarly offers three things in the sentence to fix, I can't easily separate the fixes apart and only fix one of them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
General proofreading and helping with my inability to figure out commas.

It provides the best recommendations and understands the context of my writing, so I don't have to deal with nuisance items. Grammarly is the best tool for catching simple spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes, and other small typos. The initial setup was easy peasy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the little bubble gets in the way of the user interface of some web apps.

Essential Writing Tool with Handy Snippets and Real-Time Corrections

  • December 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly allows you to check spelling and grammar on the fly. The most helpful features of Grammarly are free. I especially like the ability to designate "snippets", which let you use a quick typing shortcut to input pre-prepared sentences, essential for a job with a lot of repetition in what you enter. The paid part of Grammarly allows the correction of obvious errors with a touch of a key.
What do you dislike about the product?
Grammarly is not always accurate, as many AI-oriented programs are; I sometimes need to correct the result of their corrections, or I will need to ignore suggestions because they do not fit the context of my words. Grammarly also does not always know when it should be checking my work, and the snippet function will occasionally break or require slower typing to utilize.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a front-facing webchat job where accuracy is crucial, and I can't go back over something I've written after I've sent it, so real-time correction is vital for catching mistakes before I send them. My job also requires a lot of repetition in what I send to each customer, so the snippets come in handy for sending frequently used sentences on topics.

Boosts Writing Confidence, Needs Better Facebook Integration

  • December 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy and effective Grammarly is to use. It really boosts my confidence and speeds up everything I do. I use it as a writing assistant to adjust tone and ensure that both spelling and syntax are correct. I appreciate how it makes me more confident when sending things out because I know there aren't any spelling, comma, or other grammar errors I've missed. If my writing sounds too academic, rigid, or not relatable, Grammarly lets me know and corrects it for me. I value the in-screen spell and grammar checker and tone checker a lot.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integration with Facebook is difficult. About 20% of the time it starts rearranging things in a weird way instead of correcting them. It might drop whole sentences where they're not supposed to be or sometimes it just won't work at all. You'll click it, and it won't correct it. Also, I don't find Grammarly's own text editor quite as useful. I like it when I use it, but if I'm working in Pages on a Mac, I find things easier when I save them in my folders, so I write there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Grammarly to adjust tone and ensure spelling and syntax are correct, boosting my confidence by avoiding missed errors and making communication more relatable.

Excellent Tool for Grammar Improvement

  • December 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It helps me to improve my grammar. It also allows me to look more professional at work.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were several options instead of just one for my sentence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the tone of my statement. I sound more professional, not blunt.

The Proofreader and Editor I Cannot Live Without!

  • December 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Grammarly for about 8 years now, and I can't imagine doing long-form writing without it. It transforms my thoughts into a more eloquent form, with all the proper grammar and punctuation that even "spell check" in Microsoft Word misses. It works seamlessly in the background and just underlines suggestions for me to click on with tips on how to improve. Or, I can highlight entire sections, and it'll show me recommended edits. It's simple!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the app doesn't automatically pop up in apps like Microsoft Word when I open a document, so I have to close it. Open the app, then open the document. It's a hassle, but necessary because I need Grammarly! :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly typically helps my writing sound a lot better.
