A Great First Line Editor
What do you like best about the product?
I have used Grammarly for years to help my writing. I type incredibly quickly, but I am prone to many, many typos (there were two in that sentence), and Grammarly quickly picks them up. That's my first line of defense. Then I use the language tools, with hints such as superlative overuse (see above), or the muscle memory challenge of two spaces after a period (I am THAT old).
Even the free version offers great writing support, and I won't compose any business work without it!

What do you dislike about the product?
We have an enterprise plan for Grammarly, which is great, but the administrators are not writers, and they use it less than the writers at my organization. I wish that I had some additional user-level controls for things such as branding. Our company name is always marked as a grammatical error, and I cannot add my own style auto-correct to ignore that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly catches most of my quick-typing errors, as well as some typical grammar hangups - such as the proper use of less than vs fewer.
Grammarly saves me so much time!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how I don't have to be quite as careful as I type. Grammarly catches my errors. I also like how Grammarly helps me set my tone and abide by our company's norms. My high regular scores show how much I use Grammarly and the reports help me to improve my writing.

I don't dislike anything about Grammarly.

Grammarly is making me a better writer and saving time in the process.
Perfect for school or business
What do you like best about the product?
I am terrible with commas, and Grammarly has improved my ability to use them! I am better at using them even without Grammarly now. Also, since I use it so often at work, I have started using its voice/tone feature, and my emails sound much more polite while also being professional. I used to also use this for school years ago, and it improved my papers by, honestly, two grades (went from D to B with my strict grammar prof!). Its super easy to add to your daily typing apps and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've noticed that Grammarly will occasionally make suggestions that seem good, but then will either change the meaning of the sentence or will adjust something for you and then misspell a word in the process. This double-checking of their editing can get tiresome, but it doesn't happen too often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly is fixing my spelling and grammar errors. This benefits me so that I look more professional to my boss and clients.

Expand the plagiarism checker, my school plagiarism check comes up with a much broader search

I love that it will correct many mistakes and also rewrite some sentences to sound better.

I don't like some of the suggestions when changing sentences.

Great tool that improves writing for all
What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly does a great job of providing thoughtful suggestions for revising my writing. I like the overall functionality of the product and how it integrates seamlessly with all of the platforms I write on. I have also enjoyed using Grammarly AI and feel it has improved my writing and efficiency. It is easy to use and straight forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Grammarly has inherit biases and preferences (like any other program would), so some of it's suggestions do not always improve the text and may be more stylistic than actually helpful. For example, Grammarly loves the word "ensure." At my company, this word is not one we're advised to use, so it can be annoying when Grammarly is constantly wanting to suggest that change. I understand we need to set it to align with our company's style, so that's mostly on us.
Also, Microsoft Word seems to have a hard time loading large documents and using Grammarly. I have had several colleagues who have to turn off Grammarly while writing in a document because their Word can't handle it and will crash or glitch. I find my Word loads slower with Grammarly integrated.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a proposal writer and don't always have the time to do thorough, close reads of documents before we send them off for review. Grammarly feels like a backup editor that catches a lot of errors I may miss from not reading closely; it makes my editing time faster and more efficient.
I have used the AI feature to reword and condense my writing. I have gotten email templates from it. I am still figuring out the AI piece, but what I have used it for so far has been helpful.

Great AI Resource For Written Communication
What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly, is the best virtual copy editor. I can take her from my computer to my iPhone and email to websites, where she'll ensure my written communication is the best version of itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found many, if any, downsides!

I create a lot of training documents, and having the tone consistent and also using the AI function to help get started is great.
