A Helpful Writing Partner with a Few Quirks
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Grammarly is how seamlessly it enhances my writing as I work. It goes beyond simply correcting errors by providing explanations, which helps me understand and learn from my mistakes. I also find the tone and clarity suggestions incredibly useful, as they make my writing appear more polished and self-assured. The tool is straightforward, supportive, and always available when I need it, all without ever feeling intrusive.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, Grammarly feels a bit too strict or formal in its suggestions. Occasionally, it recommends changes that strip away my personal tone or make my writing sound robotic. Additionally, some of the more advanced features are only available with the premium plan, which can be limiting if you depend on those tools frequently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly solves a major problem I often face—missing small grammar errors or awkward sentences when I’m writing quickly. Even when I know the rules, it’s easy to overlook mistakes in my own work. Grammarly catches those slip-ups instantly, whether it’s grammar, punctuation, or word choice.
Another big benefit is clarity and tone. Sometimes I know what I want to say, but not how to say it smoothly. Grammarly suggests better sentence structure and tone adjustments—like making my writing sound more confident, polite, or concise depending on the context. This is especially helpful for emails, professional messages, or content where first impressions matter.
Overall, it saves me time on proofreading and gives me peace of mind. I don’t have to worry about sounding unprofessional or missing something embarrassing. It feels like having a writing assistant who helps me polish my work without changing my voice.
