NinjaOne Applicaton Review

  • July 28, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
After the client is setup on the remote machine, NinjaOne allows easy management of the device settings. Allows Windows updates and easy software installation remotely.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have found that not all installed software on a machine is registered on the Ninja portal. We have found that apps installed in the local user directory does not show in the software inventory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rather than using a separate WSUS, SCCM and Antivirs server, I can use NinjaOne for multiple purposes.
Using NinjaOne means I dont have to install another remote management software such as Ultra VNC or Teamviewer

Finally, an RMM that works

What do you like best about the product?
We love that NinjaONE is straightforward enough that most features just work out of the box. Implementation is straightforward, and Ninja integrates with our PSA and documentation platform nicely. We've used several other RMMs over the years, and most of them are so complex that they are almost impossible to get properly configured. None of the other RMMs we've used comes close to how happy we are with NinjaOne. They keep adding additional features, and our rep is fantastic about keeping us informed about changes and upcoming releases. We rarely have to contact customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
The "red light / green light" status indicator for per-machine and per-organization health isn't as useful as it would appear. Because there's almost always something queued for install or execution, the yellow and red statuses are a fairly common state even with well-managed machines, reducing the usefulness of a "warning light" system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NinjaOne is our primary source of truth for machine inventories, software patch statuses. We also use their Remote Access Portal to allow our clients to remotely access their own machines.

Ninja is awesome.

What do you like best about the product?
Automation for Windows updates, leveraging Active Directory to deploy agents and monitoring of HDD capacity with different levels of alerting. This saves us plenty of time...
What do you dislike about the product?
We have it on a TV screen in our office and because it is a web application, we need to use 2FA, which is a bit clunky on our TV, but we have a workaround with a generic account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping windows servers up to date and running out of hard drive space.

Excellent convenience

What do you like best about the product?
NinjaOne has made our internal IT departments job so much easier with policy, remote support, alerting, patching, general statistics, and reporting
I have recommended Ninja to friends in the MSP space as well as other internal IT teams because I truly believe it is one of (if not /the/) best solutions in this category
What do you dislike about the product?
The annoying parts about Ninja are mostly UI issues, Having NMS and endpoints in the same list pollutes the UI and makes it difficult to navigate
No major issues come to mind
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NinjaOne is giving us complete oversight of our assets out in the field we did not have while we were still predominantly working with legacy tools, Relying on AD, GPO's, SCCM, and WSUS
Now with a mix of AD, AAD, and standalone devices we can standardize across the board

NinjaOne is a great tool for managing servers and desktops

What do you like best about the product?
Patching works good with Windows and even Linux now. Automation scripts and easy PS / Terminal access is also a big plus. Overall I'm more satisfied to it than other tools I've used.
What do you dislike about the product?
Remote management sessions don't always launch and have connection errors. There's little learning curve to use patching and management but once you get it set up it's works good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Endpoint patching, inventory, monitoring and management.

What do you like best about the product?
NINJA is a gamechanger when it comes to managing endpoints. Whether you are an MSP with external endpoints, or an internal team managing your own business - we could not imagine how you would do it successfully without NinjaRMM/NinjaONE
What do you dislike about the product?
NinjaRMM/NinjaONE is rapidly expanding and devloping new features. Where they are already tried and true in RMM, they are now releasing more helpful features like ticketing, and knowledge bases. The only complaint we have if you can call it one is that we wish we could work with them more on more fronts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had an issue with patch updates not sticking in our other systems, and alot of misinformed techs because of these systems. Ninja gave us full control, and built up our trust to know that when we issue a command or run a script over their software - it gets done. NinjaRMM solves many painpoints that we've experienced - but if you are coming in from no endpoint management system to begin with then this will be a new world for you. Gamechanger

What do you like best about the product?
The versatility and ease of use are what I like best about NinjaOne.
The user-friendly interface, robust remote monitoring and management capabilities, efficient automation features, and excellent customer support. It is often praised for streamlining IT tasks, enhancing productivity, and simplifying the management of IT environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont have any but NinjaOne often receive regular updates and improvements, addressing our concerns and enhancing the overall experience. We also cant wait for future add ons and updates which will enhamnce NINJA RMM in being the pinnacle of the MSP world.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NinjaOne has addressed various challenges in our IT management and remote monitoring. Some of the key problems it solves include:

1. Centralised IT Management: NinjaOne provides a centralized platform to manage IT assets, networks, and devices, making it easier for IT professionals to monitor and control their entire IT infrastructure from a single interface.

2. Remote Monitoring and Support: The platform offers real-time monitoring of endpoints, allowing IT teams to proactively detect and resolve issues remotely, reducing downtime and improving overall system performance.

3. Automation and Patch Management: NinjaOne automates routine IT tasks, such as software patching and updates, reducing manual efforts and improving system security.

4. Reporting and Analytics: The platform provides comprehensive reporting and analytics, offering insights into IT performance, resource usage, and potential areas for improvement.

5. Enhanced Security: NinjaOne includes security features like antivirus and endpoint protection, helping to safeguard IT environments from potential threats.

By addressing these challenges, NinjaOne streamlines IT operations, enhances productivity, and allows IT professionals to focus on strategic initiatives rather than routine tasks. This, in turn, benefits organisations by increasing efficiency, reducing IT-related costs, and improving overall system stability and security.

Big Change with Remote Support Tool, quick solution

What do you like best about the product?
It is quite effective for patching and managing devices, I enjoyed SplashTop up until recently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not a big fan of the fact that I can't get details on a lot of the Microsoft patches despite they have Patch IDs which should be in the MS catalog.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SplashTop started to charge additional fee for the same product, in comes the Ninja Remote tool that does the same thing with no additional cost!
