What do you like best about the product?
The upsides of using SpotIQ is that it is a software used to help users be able to easily find data that they need. This software is a company/business focused program specifically to help employees of said company easily navigate the data of it and be able to swiftly find the data with the search bar tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of using SpotIQ is not having the choice of free trial while trying the program out for the first time. While not having the option isn't helping new people who want to start using the program, those people will instead have to rely on reviews to decide whether or not to get the program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While using SpotIQ, any problem with keeping data is easily resolved. It's hard to keep everything vital all in one place, but using the software makes it easier than ever to find all the critical data needed for any medium business looking to store information to be used for all employees to find and efficiently use to better their work.

What do you like best about the product?
ThoughtSpot helped us to analyze the performance of our different campaigns, create reports and make better decisions on calculated data points. The creation of interactive reports is super easy which comes in handy while going to a meeting. It is used by certain sets of departments of our organization such as technical, consultants, or marketing.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are using it for the first time, then it can be a little complicated to use.
Structuring of the database can be difficult sometimes, therefore better documentation for that is needed
Assigning user access and roles can be a little tricky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ThoughtSpot is well suited in scenarios where you want to make decisions based on the collected data, create reports, and plan future budgets and forecasts. It is a perfect fit for the finance and sales departments. It is not well-suited for front office departments where they are not directly involved with these kinds of scenarios and decisions.

Lofty marketing messages that product can't deliver

What do you like best about the product?
The marketing messages and the promise of being able to search for insights than have to use dashboards or clicks.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Horrible sales process. Cookie-cutter demos, they were just lazy not to spend any effort to create a demo for what was relevant for us i.e. how would a sales funnel look like, or product usage trends.
- Sales team reminded us of car-salesmen constantly trying to tell how great their product was without any empathy for customer needs or goals
- Incompetent customer success team - doesn't have basic understanding of datawarehouses, data models, only focuses on showing features in the tool.
- We are more than 6 months into our one-year contract, and have created zero pinboards, zero adoption in the company
- Cloud edition is a joke, half the features don't work and are half baked. Basic features like editing/formatting fields seem too hard to use.
- Buy this tool at your own peril, if you have an army of BI developers that can baby sit this retarded product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The basic problem is getting to use Thoughtspot. We haven't been able to use the damn product in 6 months.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't fall for their marketing messages. Run a rigorous POC where you have them show exactly what you want done. Don't settle for their cookie-cutter demo (who knows if all of it is hard-coded)

My experience of Using Thoughtspot, great software and easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
Thoughtspot helps to show the business insights in seconds. it allows quick and simple visualization of data. it is easy to use and has a good user interface and the search experience is very good. In my organization, we use ThoughtSpot to create management dashboards and reports. Fast - never have to wait a long time for data to load. ThoughtSpot also helps us to closely track project hours on a weekly basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
it still requires some more docs on how to filter data appropriately
Debugging data loading scripts before using them (Simulation)
Visualization options and graphic colors can be improved

self-service analytics. Bring data insights directly into our business apps. anyone can ask any questions, and find insights, and drill infinitely into company data in seconds. we love ThoughtSpot

What do you like best about the product?
NLS is easily the best part of the system as it allows non-technical personnel to mine their data without knowledge of SQL or other querying language.
What do you dislike about the product?
Often Thoughtspot will suggest charts and visualizations that are not what I want, and even after modifying from the default after making a slight tweak to the search terms, the visualization will revert to the originally suggested chart (even if the change didn't invalidate the previous chart i.e., removing measures or attributes required for the chart)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to offer our customers a simple way to generate reports and derive insights from their data. This goal has been realized through full integration of the Thoughtspot offering and has given our customers precisely this.

What do you like best about the product?
ThoughtSpot allows quick and simple visualization of complex data in a way that would have previously taken significant time to do in excel. This has saved me significant amounts of time in my day-to-day role, allowing me to focus on taking that information and making informed decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike about the system, but as with all new technology, there is a bit of a learning curve, and it can take some time to ensure that the data you put into the system is set up in a way to get the best results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ad-hoc analysis of complex data in excel used to take significant amounts of time; ThoughtSpot has allowed this analysis to be done in a significantly quicker and more efficient way - saving time and money.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of creating reports based on the metrics you're looking for. Not only that, but once you have a report template, you can easily add new columns to your report based on your KPI's.
I like how you can share your pinboard with other members of the company, so you're not having to re-create the wheel every time a different user wants the same report.
I like how you can add visual graphs to the pinboard and it's not just the data, but I also like that you can export the data into excel so you or your customer can manipulate the data to achieve the look and feel you're looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not really anything that I don't like. In fact, I wish I had more access to the backend features (and not just our engineering team), so I could create even more reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to solve a lot. We can pull a full list of our content, customer content consumption, insights on individual courses, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
They have great support, and overall, it's a great tool.
