Very Disappointed
What do you like best about the product?
I believe they had good intentions but unfortunately, they have missed the mark. This could be a great software had they used construction personnel feedback instead of engineers that think they know what a construction team needs and how they need it to function.
I'll say this though ...Procore has a great sales team and sales spiel to get so many contractors on board. Once you spend a ton a money and migrate your information you are basically stuck now. Because after all who wants to through that again? Also make sure you get everything included in writing. We found out the hard way that "included" sometimes means only if you spend more money to buy an add on program to sync Procore with.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Many issues with basic functions and the way client concerns/issues/feedback is basically ignored. Support will constantly direct you to feedback threads to add your input. The problem here is that these threads regarding the same issues were started 9-10 years ago. If you cannot address your client concerns within 10 years that is a problem. (Especially for the amount of money this software costs.)
2. There are many "upgrades" being made which do not work properly because they are still based on the original basic function flaws which have not been resolved .
3. Presconstruciton Services including the bidding and subcontractor maintenance is woefully inadequate. The team creating this section has never put a bid estimate together in their life.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unfortunately solving problems is not Procore's forte. Other than being told it is not on the engineering team's future agenda or directed to the 10 year old feedback threads, we have been left to bastardize the system to try and accomplish what we need to do on a daily basis. So right now there are no benefits to us.
Streamlined a lot of my responsibilites
What do you like best about the product?
Change management is by fare the best feature on Procore and allows you to control costs on a job. Along with the budget tool which is very user friendly the two work seemlesly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to incorporate people on projects across all tools that may not be collaborators or need procore access like inspectors. Similarly the way you can add people to the safety tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking general conditions on projects was very difficult and clunky on our previous system Procore allows you to visual these costs and track them appropiately
Competent product
What do you like best about the product?
Integration across most project administrative requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Trying to do everything comes at a price. The various Procore tools have their limitations and are typically less flexible than individual alternatives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration of various project management aspects and processes. Transparency of project status and ease of project auditing.
Ease of Use
What do you like best about the product?
Step by step it has the process down pat. Quick & efficient with updates as recommended. The fastest uploads and labeling I have seen in any product available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the labeling of the documents gets 'off', however this is typical of any product. Once new information is fed in, it will take over from there and complete it with the exact titles
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Document processing is the biggest solution I have encountered to date. Lets me know when something is held up and that I need to 'touch' and fix. Works like a charm.
Get your projects done!
What do you like best about the product?
Procore is designed to help you get your projects done, and not get in the way of doing so! Very modern interface and addresses many of the needs of modern construction management. Procore also takes their customers seriously and actively engages people across the industry to find out how to make the product better. And then they actually DO make the product better, constantly adding improvements to the overall system.
What do you dislike about the product?
The change can cause headaches if you need an unchanging process. Sometimes it feels like the new features were written by an independent team that never looked at how the rest of the system works, so you get features that feel unfamiliar. I would say that Procore could use some more architectural oversight and consistency. But this is probably related to its vast scope of features. Would be hard for anyone to understand the full system, but Procore should try to find that person AND give them the power and responsibility needed to hold it all together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our business is construction financials integration for many clients in many industries. Procore helps them get their projects built and manage costs. Procore helps us by providing a great set of APIs and active API support.
Great right off the start!
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of sending drawings and information. The ease of downloading drawings individually or in a combined pdf set. The app is excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the training seemed overwhelming at first, it has been easy to use and intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trades struggle with the interface of our previous platform. This is much faster and drawings can be sent via email. This is more productive and saves time.
Procore Review
What do you like best about the product?
The way Procore organizes and presents drawings, submittals and specifications, as well as the ability to compare drawing sets automatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to link one company's Procore project with our own in-house Procore project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Procore helps keep our office in sync with our field operations.
Procore Review Project Engineer
What do you like best about the product?
Submittal and RFIs. It helps to move assignees easily. Its ease of setting up multiple stages for reviews makes it a better-streamlined process. Easy and timed process. It's nice to have access while in the field to all your project documents and keeps things organized. The days of rolls of drawings are slowly getting behind us, I haven't used a piece of paper on-site in a few years. I've grown up with tech, so an iPad with procure access has become an essential tool. However, I've only used it from a subside where the GC has everything built in their backend, so I can't really speak to how much work that entails, or how useful it is. The live chat feature is especially helpful when you're not sure how/what to do. The tutorials are pretty thorough and can get you started. If you're getting too many emails, the GC can manually take you off of distribution lists. Overall it reduces work and mistakes/delays in getting submittals and RFIs. There’s a noticeable difference. Much fewer miscommunications or submittals “falling through the cracks.” Only ever do government jobs though, so I can’t vouch for smaller-scale, less formal type of work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Document sharing to Non-Procore people for a quick bid request. If I want to share a set of drawing with a new subcontractor, that subcontractor needs to be added first. Like I have some work to assign but none of my current team is specialized in that work hence I will have to reach to someone who does this work. This would make me go and talk to subs who are currently not part of the Procore and construction team. When they ask, to send me the drawings, I can't send them drawings because they aren't added to the Project on Procore. I can't go back to estimating to put this work back on their plate. it would be inefficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Internal budget moving is easier. It makes it easier to track money, Budget, and even contingencies. It also helps you to project profits monthly, quarterly, and annually. I can’t speak from a sub's perspective, but from a GC Procore is great. Keeps all the updated drawings in one spot and can link RFIs to the page. I bet you will be getting daily emails for your punch items from Procore. It’s also free for the sub since we pay upfront. The ability to submit and track RFI's without needing to remember or keep hounding people through email chains. The ability to digitize paperwork like Hot work permits, Job hazard assessments, equipment inspections, etc. The ability to scale off of a digital print (Assuming you enable that functionality). The ability to track revisions on prints/change orders.
Procore is an excellent tool for document and project management.
What do you like best about the product?
Everything in one place. Job teams are more efficient when they are working in one tool. The apps are efficient and quick to load documents in the field. Financials and analytics provide critical insights into project health. The layout and functionality of the tool is intuitive and easy to learn. Procore offers a host of training modules so you don't have to create those in house. There is a lot of flexibility in the tool for creating reports and extracting information. The analytics tool allows you to see all your data in numerous ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reports are ugly. They are not clean and modern looking. This is one area I would like to see Procore update and generate nicer and more professional looking reports. The ERP connection is limited in functionality and we cannot currently push out owner billings from the software. This is disappointing and needs to be addressed. Direct Costs and hourly positions are too simple, but we make it work. We would like to track hours expended vs. the planned hours and hope that is offered in a future update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They put everything in one place. It is available online or in the app making it accessible from any location. They streamline the entire project management function.
Takes away all the headache of management with an easy user interface.
What do you like best about the product?
Ball in court updates and emails to notify who is responsible for what and when the deadlines are. This saves valuable administration time and company resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
The permissions allocation and what I am allowed and not allowed to do. Also intigrating Procore with our accounting software has proven to be difficult and involves a lot of trouble shooting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management. Following up with trades. Clearly showing who is responsible for what. Clear and concise construction information available to all trades without requesting from GC.
