    Construction

I think Procore is a fantastic program, but has some work to do as well.

What do you like best about the product?
The reports tool is super helpful. The platform is user friendly and intuitive. The submittals tool, RFI tool, Drawings tool I use on a daily basis and make my job easier. Live chat customer support is really handy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Procore's emails can be very confusing. Email will say that something is in your court when it's not. Also frustrated with the copy timesheet function that was changed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Procore is making information easily available and accessible to all project stakeholders around the clock. Reduces communication errors. Ensures all parties have the latest drawings. Procore helps me keep track of all outstanding project issues, RFIs, submittals and eliminates the need for spreadsheets.

What do you like best about the product?
Subcontractors can upload submittals and RFIs and send them to the PM for review. The PM can filter/adjust the content, then forward them into the system for answer or approval. Submittals and RFIs can easily be found. Drawings can be marked up in Procore by anyone who has been given permission.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is too difficult to use, and even worse is the project setup. There are company levels and project levels. Permissions for every item or document at project and company levels must be set up correctly. A directory at both levels must be set up to send emails or documents to anyone through Procore. Change events attached to Change orders attached to Purchase Orders make the budget and adjustments there-in ridiculously difficult. One must mark in/out of scope just how the software wants and not related to the actual condition. The meeting minutes are incredibly complex and detailed to get meeting notes, invites, and progress. I liked Procore when I was a subcontractor. Procore makes document control much more challenging than it already is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't know that Procore is solving any of my problems. Two years later, Procore continues to have limits. Things must be done in an exact order. Heaven help you if you need to go back a week and adjust a mistake you made. Procore will only allow you to adjust the most recent entry. You must delete a weeks of work to get back to the one thing you need to correct.

Great Overall Construction Management Tool

What do you like best about the product?
The variety of tools in Procore covers most, if not all, different aspects of a typical construction Project.
Procore considered all project departments, and the functionality between various modules is seamlessly integrated.

As an admin, you have the scope and freedom to configure bespoke solutions using the various tools Procore offers.

Project teams also find it overwhelmingly easy to use, with a host of online resources and training videos.

What do you dislike about the product?
The base document management tool needs some improvement as it lacks the critical functionality you would expect from similar competitive solutions in the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The collaboration between the Construction / Site teams and the Design team is seamlessly integrated using the RFI / Correspondence modules. But overall, most minor construction records are managed by Procore including daily reports / site diaries and tracking critical project changes.

What do you like best about the product?
ProCore is continuously updating, streamlining or improving access and useability.

Better/improved functionality/ease of use makes me more productive
What do you dislike about the product?
Some times the help line takes too long to join a chat, When the RFI tool was down on Fri 10/14 , I was on 'hold' on the help chat so long I forgot I was on 'hold' waiting......


ProCore should post banners or headers on the site when that happens to notfy users, I wouldn't have initiated a help chat, and wouldn't have had to spend time waiting on 'hold'. And I wouldnt have taken a help tech's time....
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing of documents & ease of tracking (esp RFIs & Submittals) is extremely helpful makes me more productive

Best Solution in Construction

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Procore is the combination of usability with the logical approach to the tools. Even folks who are not "computer people" are able to navigate the program with ease. The individual tools and how they function just make sense and are not overly complicated. I've worked with a lot of other programs that only offer solutions for one chunk of construction management (IE RFIs, submittals, change orders, etc.) and it tends to be lunky and not as well thought out as Procore. You can tell the platform is designed by and made for construction professionals.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the overall value is there, there are some tools that are not needed and find a couple of the tools to be cumbersome with real-life use. The submittal tool is probably my least favorite. It would be nice to see some stripped-down versions that don't include quite as many features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In general, it makes project management easier. It allows for smoother and clearer communications with our subcontractors and Owners alike. It allows the user to tie all the moving pieces together, resulting in lesser overhead time and expenses to track and maintain or process documentation. As an example, I can process 10 change orders in the time it takes colleagues who are not on Procore to process one - accurately and tied to RFIs, correspondence, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
It's a good general Construction Management tool that allows for good onsite management of our projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were ways to make it more customizable for Solar specific installation tasks. Still very much geared toward building construction

Better Punchlist management; better quality management of our projects

I like the dedication and commitment to making this a successful tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not perfect... yet haha! I like the connection between tools and modules; some weren't as imagined, but there is generally a path forward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For us, it has been a major step forward in connecting our company's project management and financial management.

What do you like best about the product?
Connecting people, technology, and documentation. It is very mobile-friendly, and the user interface is easy to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of using a cloud based product like Procore is the lask of customization available to fit your company. There is a level of tailoring your company SOPs to fit Procore.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Procore solving business problems such as lack of mobile data accessibility and data silos. It is an all in one product and it's tools speak to each other.

Our conversion from Spectrum was not smooth and the Procore patch was not meet expectations of the teams

Portfolio risk management through prequalification and data aggregation for me as CEO - solving a great platform for Project Management for the teams through the interface

Makes for project Drawing Management a breeze

What do you like best about the product?
The drawings tool is intuitive and has helped the company keep track of drawings through large projects at different phases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Do not use all the tools, mainly Drawings, Documents and Models. One thing that would be helpful in the Documents tool would be the ability to have a viewer for more cad files. There is a Revit viewer now, but I would like to see .dwg and possibly .rfa, among other file types.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They listened regarding not being able to view Revit files, which are now available. Viewing in a browser rather than downloading multiple gigabytes files is a great benefit.
