Our evolving experience with Procore.
What do you like best about the product?
Procore provides us with a single platform to manage all of our daily tasks. We never find ourselves at the limits of this program. We benefit from Procore's ability to evolve as the industry changes. To sum it up. It's a living program.
What do you dislike about the product?
We don't have any dislikes of Procore. But, it would be helpful if more companies would get on board with the Procore format and provide global catalogs for estimating. At least Procore delivers the ability to create these catalogs manually for now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Information sharing internally is a big one! The single platform helps eliminate the loss of information and the duplication of work as a project progresses through its many stages.
Procore is the top of the industry CM tool
What do you like best about the product?
The easy to use platform. I also like that you can get help extremly easily with online chat or phone call. They have thought of every process in the CM world and delivered a product to make it easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not many. The only things i dont like are the documents tab. You cannot drag and drop folders so you must download them and upload. This can be a huge hassle. It would be nice if it worked more like sharepoint does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Procore has been a easy one stop shop for me as a PE to consolidate all my responsibilites to one source. This helps me stay organized and get approvals and answers fast.
Procore is an extremely powerful construction management software.
What do you like best about the product?
Very diverse software with many tools that enable project managers to succeed. It is intuitive and user-friendly, and a little practice can make work efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the software is intuitive after some practice, it is initially overwhelming. There is often preparation that needs to be done before an action is executed correctly, which will confuse a novice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Budget management, change orders, commitments and subcontracts. It streamlines many processes that would typically take a long time and require Microsoft office suite programs.
Procore tools are helpful, useful and makes it easier to communicate with team in the field.
What do you like best about the product?
It is user friendly and has trainings to learn how to use all different project tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would like to be able to manage email notifications on the Observations tool/

Keeping track of RFIs and submittal and revisions on plan sheets.
Engineering Lead Manufacturing Project
What do you like best about the product?
Document organization is taken to another level. Drawing, specification, RFI, submittal tools greatly increase efficiency of the team. The directory ties everything together and ensures distribution groups get correspondences to the correct team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
When drawings are uploaded,they are automatically organized alpha-numerically. This often creates more work having to reorganize the drawing sequence. The process is quite cumbersome as well to reorganize them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
organized accessibility of documents. Having the dashboard showing the high level overview of what is upcoming or past due is very helpful. Drawing revision control and the comparison tool was super helpful for our constructor as well.
Good Product But Not Always Easy to Navigate
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Procore is that I can easily enter the requisitions in the system and view markups on the reviewed reqs. I also like how easy it is to upload the backup documents for the stored materials.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike the most is how change orders are added to the system. If the GC approves a change order after I have submitted my billing, I cannot easily edit the requisition, add the change order, and bill it. Instead, I have to wait for the GC to make it visible on my end so that I can include it in my billing, and this is problematic because it can result in a delay in submitting the requisition by the due date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I believe it is making tracking changes to the requisitions easier. I also like that entering a requisition is a quick process and that I can also track payments in the system.
Procore helps us keep everyone up to date on changes to plansets.
What do you like best about the product?
Procore helps streamline sharing job status with our owners and subcontractors. We are able to reduce email communications via this tool and effectively run meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Procore has room for improvement on their 4-week look-ahead feature. As is, we cannot leverage this feature as it does not have the basic functionality of re-arranging rows so that the schedule cascades in date order. Additionally, the inability to speak across company Procore modules prohibits us from using the daily log and timecard features, as we must use the client's Procore environment to conduct business. Without duplicating these jobs in our environment purely to log dailies and timecards, our output as a business would be incomplete. Finally, the meetings tool in the Apple App environment is unusable. Most of the time, our meetings are held onsite with an iPad. Using the mobile app for recording minutes is ineffective as formatting is not allowed or accepted. If notes are taken, they need to be reformatted on a computer later, which is inefficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maintaining one true source of up to date plans, with timestamps, greatly helps in working with subcontractors to make sure everyone is working off the right planset.
Procore is a valuable tool for the construction process. Most every GC I know uses Procore.
What do you like best about the product?
Drawing management and cost management are very helpful. RFIs and submittals are clear and effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
The email system out of Procore seems like an afterthought and is very difficult to navigate. It would be best if it mirrored outlook in its layout. Regarding learning all the bells and whistles of Procore, there is so much information it feels like a waste of time to sort through every part and piece searching for an answer. So somehow streamlining the education process of Procore would be helpful as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost management, organization of documents, facilitating as-built drawings by attaching RFIs. While the instruments are in place to hold the design team accountable to their contractural requirements, I could benefit from an education on how to use the information Procore gathers to put the design teams feet to the fire.
This program is essential to me for keeping up to date on changes in project drawings.
What do you like best about the product?
Access to RFI's and the ability to compare multiple disciplines with each other. Having revision dates is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all the information is current. It is only as good as what people put into it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to keep my field people and my CAD tech up to date on changes.
