My Love and Hate relationship with Procore
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to do everything for my projects in one application. I like that subcontractor's have the ability to view drawings and submittals. This cuts down on e-mails and hard copies having to be sent out to multiple people. I also like that Owners can view, approve and reject OCO's. This saves time for not only my job but accounting also. I attended one of the G2 Change Event Webinars and am very excited about the changes that have been made. there have been a lot of our concerns answered during this roll-out!
What do you dislike about the product?
Still a few software issues that need to be worked out. Not having more Subcontract / PO approval options. What is available under PO should also be available under Subcontract.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Owners, Field and Office employees are able to utilize all projects and documents.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This program can seem overwhelming at first. Take it step by step. Costumer Service is great!

Not much; I'd like to convince our book keeping side of the business to try ProCore
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simplified processes and faster completion of the tasks that need to be done (i.e. a small example but my time for meeting minutes is 1/3 what it was prior to ProCore)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After explaining what we specifically needed Procore to do for us concerning timekeeping, our company was told in the beginning that Procore would be able to meet it exactly with no problems. We were told that Procore is always upgrading and updating. This is partly true. Procore did upgrade and update. They updated their Timesheets tool to be exactly like what we described in the beginning that we needed. Come to find out they are wanting to charge us to use it after telling us that what they originally had would be perfect and work exactly how we wanted it to.
The benefits are several. We are now able to track in real time:
Daily logs
Safety inspections
Equipment logs
Submittals
and a lot more. All of which we had been doing previously in a less productive way than we are able to now. It's a long process to set up and implement but overall, it's a great product and easy to use.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have someone 100% dedicated to implementation.
Make sure that you are aware of EVERYTHING that you are needing from it otherwise you will be lost in trying to determine what you are needing.
After all of that, it's a breeze and awesome to use.
Definitely get as much connection and communication with your Sales rep and POC (Point Of Contact) as you can as it will be of much use to you.

Efficiency when working with subcontractors.

Customizing some of our documents has not worked with Procore fields.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sending out contracts has been simplified.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Adding fields for "Miscellaneous" parts of our documents, that could be used for more customization.

It helps keep my job extremely organized and gives access to my field team to everything I need them to have. Keeps me from having to do double the work
What do you dislike about the product?
At times it takes hours for emails from procore to go through. I also find the site runs slow at times, I assume its because a lot of people are using it at once. That can be frustrating
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gets information to my field immediately. I don't have to email or print docs for my field guys. I can upload drawings and docs and they received them immediately . Also allows me to have better office to field communication as we can be looking at the same doc while on the phone and discuss. No more wonder what my field guys is talking about

Multi-Faceted Construction Administration Software
What do you like best about the product?
As an Architect, I work with several General Contractors who are all using Procore. This standardizes my role in the Construction Administration phase of a project - as move from project to project and GC to GC, I am still able to use Procore quickly and efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app is a little disappointing, especially compared with companion apps for competing software. For example, 'Plans,' when linked with Newforma, is a powerful tool in the field.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ease-of-use for all parties involved: GC, Architect, Consultants, Client Reps, Developers, etc.

It is a simpler and less complicated software to Newforma and others.
