    Construction

Procore is a work in Progress; construction management up to par, accounting integration sub-par.

What do you like best about the product?
Document management ; RFI's, Submittals, etc. tracking very helpful and easily accessible to both client and subtier contractors. Automated word find on plans making naming simple. Automated email reminders and ball in court make in very apparent where you are at in the workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
The accounting sync is not up to par with other similar all inclusive programs (ie Viewpoint). Very limited ERP syncing with Quickbooks. Job Cost reports are limited. When entering invoices, Procore is not preset to assign reviewers (workflow missing) leaving the Accounts Payable personnel no choice but to manually email superintendents/project managers for approval.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accountability! Tracking features such as whom has seen what documents keep subs and clients accountable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great document control tool, but if needing an all inclusive software package (including accounting) I would look elsewhere first. ERP integration not yet to par but it slowly getting there.

What do you like best about the product?
The customer service has been great! I have not experienced such support with any other company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficulty getting all parties to utilize the program has been a struggle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The drawing tool has provided up to date accessibility to our team and subcontractors.

Makes Bidding and running jobs a breeze.

What do you like best about the product?
The integration of the project and the bidding of the project make my life as a PM so much easier it increases my productivity levels at least double.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sub Contractors bidding for multiple GC's for multiple projects don't seem to have time to get familiar with the software or complain about the registering procedure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ERP Integration and coding for accounts
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a sizable outlay, but your productivity will be increased 3-fold by proper implementation of this product.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy of use and understanding. This system can be taught in a few hours and is very intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
It requires an understanding of your business needs and how Porcore can be adapted. It is customization to a point, which for construction industry is actually a good thing. I
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing a large team over 10+ projects, 5 cities most of which are not on the road system. We are communicating faster than ever.

What do you like best about the product?
I thoroughly enjoy how Procore automates and makes daily tasks more efficient. It is easy to manage and is very user-friendly
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how certain tools work and how reports are generated. For example, the inability to see what RFIs are tagged on what drawing sheets without having to look at the specific sheet
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to go paper-less and financially link everything. The benefit in this would be that accounting and construction can work seamlessly together
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Utilize it as much as possible and watch all the training videos

Great Project Management Software!

What do you like best about the product?
The submittal features are amazing for me! It made tracking submittals and O & M documents so much easier for me to find when needed. Also being able to look at plans and specs remotely was very helpful. The customer service is amazing and all of the staff trainings were planned out. It is just hard in the construction world to get construction workers that never look at the computer or use apps to pick up this software and use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Procore is a very expensive product. With small projects it is really not needed. When trying to save money and going from Submittal Exchange it really did not help very much. It felt like I was constantly walking the guys through their processes. When they needed to look up something I would have to walk them through every time. There really needs to be more trainings geared towards the construction worker that does not use electronics on a regular basis. Our guys in the field feel that it is easier to pick up a set of plans and look at them than it is to try and look the app over on their phone. The app had too many bugs for them to use. For the app the sumbittal software was limitied so when working remotly I had to use a computer not a cell phone or tablet. It is good, but it really does not save our company any money or time, when I am having to walk the guys through every step of the way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking Tracking Tracking! This is great software to keep a record of documents and reference them from anywhere at anytime.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This software needs to be budgeted into jobs better. When trying to cut overhead in our office this was one of the first things to go.

What do you like best about the product?
The continued online support and the ongoing improvements.
What do you dislike about the product?
The phone app. It could use a lot more work to be more user friendly for the field staff and for them to have access to more of the abilities that the computer program offers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The communication and accountability is way better with Procore. The program does seem to benefit our Estimator the best through estimates, RFI's and change orders.

Excellent tool for document control and management. The submittal log feature in specifications is brilliant!

Cost processes are cumbersome. Very hard to locate PCO's.

Streamlined Communication and Timely Document Creation

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to invite my vendors (millwork carpenters, stone top suppliers, etc.) to post shop drawings which are immediately visible for review by the designer/architect is a huge help. This eliminates me having to be a middleman on what can be multiple rounds of revisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Procore operates in an extremely linear manner. When creating change orders, the inability to revise as I go can be frustrating. It is logical why it's set up in this manner, but if I make a mistake or need to shuffle the order of items around, they have to be backtracked step by step and restarted. This has been my primary frustration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are improving our document flow and tracking communications.
