Exceptional Control and Flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Tealium is the level of customization it offers. We can micro-target audiences in real time, based on our own business parameters.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s an initial learning curve if you’re coming from another platform, such as Google Tag Manager or another CDP, because Tealium works differently than its competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem Tellum is helping us solve is being able to target and identify very specific, micro-level audiences that a traditional CDP doesn’t surface quickly enough for us to take action on.
Easy Segmentation and Real-Time Customer Activation
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to segment and activate on real time customer insights. Love the easy and turnkey integration with Snowflake! The vertical specific applications are helpful to understand where my org can leverage more data insights
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish they had sandbox and cheatsheet of features for partners to demo internally . More integrations to leverage on Snowflake Marketplace for out of the box composability
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like the easy activation of data and visual capabilities for business users to easily identify insights across the organization and different teams!
Intuitive Interface, Needs Stronger AI Capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the Tealium Customer Data Hub's UI is very intuitive, so you don't need to be very technical to use it. People can learn on the job to use Data Hub.
What do you dislike about the product?
I will say at this point, their AI capability is still very basic. I don't see much automation coming from them. So I would like to see more automation, more offering more, like, a natural language processing. To help us, onboarding new datasets even quicker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tealium Customer Data Hub consolidates our siloed data, providing a unified view to enhance customer experience, especially crucial due to data governance challenges.

The platform has a learning curve, and some integrations or advanced configurations can be complex for new users. Pricing may also be challenging for smaller teams.

Tealium Meets You Where You Are on Customer Data Infrastructure
What do you like best about the product?
Tealium understands customer data infrastructure and meeting their customers where they're at. They're well integrated with everyone in your martech stack!
What do you dislike about the product?
Not qualified to answer this, but the only negative thing I've heard from brands is cost. It would be interesting to see them charge based on outcome instead of actions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping with generate a Customer 360 in my preferred data platform, with measurement, and analyzing customer journeys across all of our touch points (outbound, mobile, web, etc.)

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about the Tealium Customer Data Hub is its ability to unify fragmented customer data across web, app, CRM, and paid media touchpoints into a single, actionable view of the customer. As a performance marketer, that is incredibly valuable because it creates a stronger foundation for audience segmentation, attribution, personalization, and more efficient media activation.
I also appreciate how Tealium enables real-time data flows, allowing marketers to respond faster to customer behavior with timely retargeting, suppression logic, and lifecycle messaging.

Additionally, implementation and ongoing maintenance can require significant cross-functional alignment to unlock its full value.

The Tealium Customer Data Hub solves the problem of fragmented customer data by connecting signals across web, app, CRM, and media platforms into one unified view. This benefits me as a performance marketer by improving audience targeting, speeding up optimization decisions, and enabling more accurate measurement of campaign performance.
Robust Tealium Capabilities with a High Ceiling for What You Can Accomplish
What do you like best about the product?
The ceiling is so high in terms of Tealium's capabilities. Their tool set is robust. There can be a learning curve as with any software, but once you get the hang of it, there's just so much you can accomplish.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tealium CDH has a steep learning curve for many. It's not that the tools are unintuitive, rather, there's some degree of abstract reasoning required to fully understand what's happening under the hood.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More intelligent / robust tag management with rich user data leads to lower cost-pers and greater conversion rates. Tealium's CDP makes Audience creation and activation intuitive, and measurable.

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ease of the user interface. As someone not in the tool everyday, I find Tealium to be very intuitive. I’m usually just checking tag implementations, but there’s never a learning curve.
What do you dislike about the product?
The merge tool can be unreliable when merging changes from one environment to another. For example, DEV to QA, QA to PROD. Rework is required when it doesn’t function as expected and can delay scheduled release windows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us organize marketing efforts in a safe and efficient way. Simply turning on tracking pixels when a campaign is launched gives us the opportunity to support our marketing partners reliably.
Intuitive GUI and Excellent Training Resources on Tealium University
What do you like best about the product?
I like the intuitive GUI and the wealth of training materials on Tealium University. I also like the ability to use advanced JavaScript extensions for more custom implementations. The interface is easy to follow for both advanced and basic extensions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is some unintuitive functionality around the merge tool when merging between versions in Tealium iQ. Sometimes the platform will not display prior versions available for merging unless we check “all time” instead of the default “last 30 days”.

Tealium Customer Data Hub solves our tag management challenges by providing an intuitive interface to apply our tags and extensions without the need for customizing site code.
