Intuitive and efficient, images are quickly brought into the appropriate format

    Reviewed on Jul 08, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I mainly use Cloudinary for product images that I need to upload, and I find it easier to find the images because they are already available in the appropriate format. I like the interface and I am very satisfied with the Visual Search function. Additionally, the initial setup of Cloudinary was very easy and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are many functions that I actually don't use at all. You have to read up and get into it first, because it seems a bit complicated at the beginning and can therefore be rather off-putting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find that Cloudinary makes uploading product images easier because the images are already in the correct format, allowing me to use them more quickly.

Massive Time-Saver for On-the-Fly Image Optimization and Resizing

    Reviewed on Jul 08, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to automatically optimize, transform, and resize images on-the-fly based on the requesting device or browser is a massive time-saver, particularly for sites where performance directly impacts conversion.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cloudinary uses a credit-based system that can be difficult to forecast. Costs for storage, bandwidth, and "transformations" (any change to an image or video) can scale aggressively. For a growing business, it’s easy to hit overage fees if your traffic or media library grows faster than your plan's limits, and the high-end tiers often require "contact sales" negotiations, making budgeting less transparent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloudinary stores a single "master" high-resolution asset and generates all required variants on-the-fly via URL parameters. This saves us from tedious manual editing and keeps our storage organized and lightweight.

    Reliable Performance with Excellent Support

    Reviewed on Jul 07, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I primarily use Cloudinary for image transformation and optimization, and have also used it for some video. It handles asset management and provides a simple API for image transformation. The performance is good, which is crucial for displaying images quickly on our site and app to convert customers. I've used it in the past and am familiar with the interface. Since we provide our own CDN and storage layer, the cost is solid. The support has generally been excellent; they're responsive, thorough, and technically proficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Auto upload mapping is confusing; it's easy to make a mistake and could use better guidance and documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloudinary handles asset management and provides an easy API for image transformation and optimization. It performs great for displaying images, which is critical for converting customers.

Effortless Automation for Images and Video

    Reviewed on Jul 07, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to manipulate images and videos simply by altering parameters in the asset URL is incredibly elegant.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing model is preatty hard to understand and price level is really too expensive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloudinary solves the massive logistical headache of video engineering by automating complex tasks like format transcoding (such as adapting videos into lightweight formats like WebM or MP4 based on device support), adaptive bitrate streaming (delivering smooth playback across varying network conditions), and AI-driven smart cropping that automatically keeps the video's main action centered for mobile screens. This translates directly into seamless video asset delivery, allowing a responsive platform like myself to reference optimized media URLs that load instantly without heavy manual preprocessing

Easy to Use for Ecommerce, But Bulk Image Uploads Can Be Buggy

    Reviewed on Jul 07, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to use and has all the features I need for my ecommerce tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, when uploading images in bulk, Cloudinary just imports one of them instead of the whole set of images. I believe it's a bug but it has already happened several times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to tag images so they automatically appear where I want in the website. Before using this option, I had to upload the images into different sections. I'm saving a lot of time and resources.

Smooth, User-Friendly Asset Management with Helpful AI Features

    Reviewed on Jul 07, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I find Cloudinary's user-friendly interface extremely helpful when attempting to find and organize a SKU. It allows my organization to neatly organize files in a structure that makes sense. I don't handle accounts for my business and therefore don't deal with pricing, so I cannot speak on the subject. Cloudinary integrates perfectly into my organizations workflow, letting us easily add images to the website. I was onboarded by my organization, but Cloudinary was easy to pick up and understand. I have experienced nothing but smooth performance and accurate search results. Cloudinary's AI features are also helpful for workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not experienced many issues other than slight search accuracy problems, but this is due to a SKU not being available in my organizations specific cloudinary structure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloudinary allows easy, seamless uploads of Ecommerce content to my organization's website.

Great All-in-One CDN, But Contentstack Integration Feels Limited

What do you like best about the product?
All in one cdn/images solution for a large website
What do you dislike about the product?
When using with Contentstack is easy, but not fully featured. For example having an image in cloudinary the metadata and everything has to live in Cloudinary instead of Contentstack. And you can only really reference images in the plug in in a group, not individually
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
