Effective Whiteboard for Collaboration

  • September 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best aspect about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is how easy it is for everyone to visually share their thoughts on a digital whiteboard during a meeting. When people want to draw out flowcharts or sequence events in pictures rather than words, this software makes it extremely easy. It is also easy to implement and integrate into your everyday office meetings. I use it almost daily now. I have not worked with their customer support yet, but would like to see if this is as good as their software.
What do you dislike about the product?
The aspect that made this collaboration suite a little challenging was having to zoom in and out while people are drawing because sometimes when you open a whiteboard, you are zoomed in on a part of the whiteboard that no one else can see or is currently viewing in the general vicinity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is solving a lot of challenges in terms of being able to draw out ideas that people have during meetings that take place in rooms without physical whiteboards.

Super useful and intuitive diagram and charting tool - really useful for system design

  • September 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really liked how intuitive the software was. Coming from Excalidraw, I expected there to be a huge learning curve learning a new diagramming software - especially one as powerful as Lucid Charts but to my surprise I was able to get going pretty quickly thanks in part to their AI generation tools
What do you dislike about the product?
There wasn't much I outright disliked with Lucid, it was super well-rounded. My one critique (if it can even be called that) is that it has a ton of features so it's a bit tough to find what you need if you don't know where to look. This can be a bit overwhelming but since the platform is so intuitive, you pick it up pretty quick and can find what you need without much effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me, Lucid is solving the challenge of turning vague thoughts in my head on how something should be designed into professional and succinct system design documentation. The AI features improve iteration speed by laying things out in a sane way and generating entire diagrams from prompts. This has been a huge help in disseminating system design information to the rest of the engineering org so everyone can easily get up to speed and ensure we're using best practices at every juncture

Solid performance and functionality.

  • September 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is its ability to bridge technical precision with collaborative flexibility. Lucidchart makes it easy to build detailed process maps, system architectures, and workflow diagrams without sacrificing clarity or control. Lucidspark complements that by enabling real-time brainstorming and stakeholder engagement, which is especially useful when navigating cross-functional projects or zoning strategy sessions. The seamless integration with tools like Microsoft 365, Jira, and Slack keeps everything connected, and the intuitive interface means I spend less time formatting and more time solving.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Lucid offers strong functionality, there are a few areas that could be improved. The pricing tiers can feel limiting for smaller teams, especially when advanced features like data linking or conditional formatting are locked behind higher plans. Additionally, while the interface is generally intuitive, managing large, complex diagrams can get sluggish, particularly when layering multiple objects or embedding external data. Lastly, version control and change tracking could be more robust for teams working asynchronously across time zones.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite helps me streamline and communicate complex business logic across customer journey mapping, process modeling, and organizational design. In consulting engagements, clarity and speed are critical, Lucidchart allows me to rapidly build and iterate on workflows, org charts, and best practice frameworks that clients can immediately understand and act on. Lucidspark adds value during early-stage ideation and stakeholder alignment, especially when mapping customer pain points or refining service blueprints. The suite reduces ambiguity, accelerates decision-making, and ensures that strategic intent is visually and operationally aligned across teams.

Clean, effective tool for visualizing data

  • September 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how intuitive the interface is—it doesn’t take long to get comfortable with the tools, even for someone who’s not super technical. The ability to visualize ideas, workflows, or data in real time with a team is really helpful, especially when working remotely. Everything feels pretty fluid and collaborative.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels a bit overwhelming with the number of features packed in—like there's a bit of a learning curve, especially for new users. Also, performance can dip a little when working with larger, more complex diagrams or collaborating with multiple people at once
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a software developer, one of the challenges we faced during product development was aligning on data modeling. Things would get stuck in back-and-forth conversations or vague documentation. Using Lucid really helped us map out our data models visually and collaboratively, which made it easier for everyone—especially across teams—to stay on the same page. It sped things up, reduced misunderstandings, and gave us a shared visual reference we could keep coming back to

Challenging Setup and Misaligned Task Organization

  • September 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I did not find it useful, but work slong other apps
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite challenging to use because it didn't fit my organizational style, which is more project or idea-based rather than task-oriented. The setup was difficult, and I couldn't integrate it with my way of working. I also found it problematic that there was no feature allowing AI to organize things according to my preferences like by projects or time, which led me to decide not to continue using it. The lack of flexibility in its structure was a significant drawback for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Orgsnization by tasks

Absolutely fantastic software!

  • September 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite for LucidChart specifically and it is absolutely amazing for making flowcharts. It has all of the tools pre programmed in for connecting and pathing the flow chart. All of the built in shapes and tools are amazing and the software feels incredibly intuitive to use. You jump right in and start using the software and it all feels so natural that it doesn't even really feel like there is a learning curve to use the software. 10/10
What do you dislike about the product?
Don't really have any negatives that I have run into on using LucidCharts because it is so much better than anything else I have used so far that the whole thing feels like a win.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite provides a fantastic set of tools to help create an implement flowcharts for troubleshooting technical issues. These are used primarily as internal documents, but look nice enough that they could also be comfortably sent to customers.

My go-to tool for collaboration and visual brainstorming

  • September 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid makes it incredibly easy to map out ideas, create workflows, and collaborate in real time with teammates. The templates are diverse and well-structed, which saves time when starting new projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
it can sometimes feel a bit heavy on performance when working with large or complex diagrams. The pricing structure could also be more flexible for smaller teams that don’t need the full enterprise suite. Integration with some niche tools also requires extra setup effort compared to bigger platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
helps simplify complex ideas by turning them into clear, visual diagrams that are easy to understand and share. It solves the problem of miscommunication during planning or brainstorming by allowing real-time collaboration, which means everyone stays aligned without long back-and-forths. It has been especially useful in creating workflows, organizational charts, and process maps that help teams operate more efficiently.

The AI assisted diagrams are very accurate

  • September 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
AI is at the centre of work for getting a quick start. With diagramming tools that I was using that was the case with a few tweaks to the output. With Lucid I have not had to make any changes. The output has the right balance, context capture, layout and font size
What do you dislike about the product?
The limited number of diagrams in the free version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual is helping me with Process Mapping. I need to diagram old process so that I cant identify Non Value Adding activities. After Identifying Non Value Adding Activities I diagram the new processes with Value Adding steps in the process. The diagramming tool should not abstract key steps when interpreting the AI instructions
