Using Lucid to Create Workflow for Project

  • November 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Although my time of using Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite was brief, I thought that it was an incredibly helpful tool in creating a simple workflow for a team project for one of my classes. I thought that the UI was great especially when I was creating my flowchart. There was a large variety of shapes and ways to design my workflow and I really liked the freedom that came from using the website. Also, one small thing that really helped when creating my flowchart was how the arrows would automatically point to the middle of shape. Especially since building my workflow diagram required using a lot of arrows and shapes, having the arrows automatically point to the middle when dragged made building a lot more efficient and smooth
What do you dislike about the product?
During my time using the website, I didn’t encounter any significant downsides, although my experience was relatively short. If I were to nitpick about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite, then I’d say my biggest critique is that I wished the free version gave us a few more objects to use per document. I know that with the free version I’m only limited to 60 objects, but this limitation kind of messed up my flow chart since I had to get rid of some important aspects in the end to fully complete it. This is less of a critique against the website and more of me just wanting to get a little bit more out of the free trial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like that Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is solving a relative niche but prevailing problem of streamlining creating diagrams and flowcharts. I could’ve created my workflow diagram on Microsoft or Google apps, but I just liked how simple and effective using Lucid was after messing around with it. It benefits me as a student because I know that in the future when I would have to make another flow chart or workflow diagram, I know what website to go to reliably create it.

The Best Tool I’ve Used for Clear and Collaborative Diagrams

  • November 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy Lucid makes it to turn ideas, workflows, and system designs into clear visuals. The drag-and-drop tools feel natural, and real-time collaboration is smooth—even with large teams. As a developer, the ability to map out architecture, user flows, and integrations visually helps speed up planning and reduces miscommunication.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some advanced features are hidden behind higher-tier plans, and export options can feel limited unless you're on a premium plan. Large or complex diagrams can slow down performance at times, and syncing diagrams across Lucidchart and Lucidspark can be slightly confusing for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid helps me turn complex ideas, workflows, and system designs into clear visuals that everyone can understand. Instead of explaining processes in long messages or documents, I can map everything out visually and share it instantly with the team.

For development work, it’s especially useful for planning integrations, documenting architecture, and preparing migration flows. It reduces confusion, speeds up decision-making, and keeps everyone aligned during projects. Overall, it saves time and makes collaboration much smoother across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the flexibility and freedom that Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite offers, as it allows me to experiment with various ideas in a free and open environment, much like having a canvas where I can place anything I want. I love the ready-made templates available, especially when time is of the essence; for instance, I was able to quickly facilitate a team retrospective meeting by selecting a retrospective template from the library, saving me a significant amount of preparation time. The integration capabilities with other tools I use, such as Confluence and Jira, enhance my documentation process by creating a seamless workflow. Additionally, the initial setup was incredibly easy—requiring nothing more than accepting an invite—which made my transition to using the suite smoother. Overall, my experience with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite has been overwhelmingly positive, as evidenced by my willingness to recommend it with a high score of 9 out of 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far, I've been enjoying the product
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite to streamline team meetings and diagram creation. It provides a flexible canvas for creativity and offers templates that save preparation time, enhancing my workflow efficiency.

Easy Visual Mapping, Needs Better Large-Scale Management

  • November 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite primarily for creating user journey maps, organizing research findings, and collaborating with designers during early product ideation sessions. I love how it helps me visualize patterns from interviews and turn abstract insights into clear, shareable diagrams. It significantly aids in organizing large amounts of UX research data in a way that is easy to understand and present. The ability to collaborate with designers and product managers in real time, especially during remote brainstorming and refining user journey maps, is invaluable. What I like most is how effortlessly it converts raw research notes into clear, structured visuals that the entire team can instantly understand and collaborate on. This feature is incredibly valuable because it enables me to quickly spot patterns that aren't obvious in text form and helps facilitate focused conversations with team members, thereby speeding up decision-making and reducing misunderstandings. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, allowing me to explore templates and start building a user journey map within just a few minutes, even as a beginner.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main challenge for me with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is managing really large boards. When there are dozens of sticky notes and diagrams, the interface can feel cluttered and navigating it becomes cumbersome. I also feel there is a lack of built-in templates that are specifically tailored for UX workflows such as affinity mapping or persona creation. This absence means I spend more time setting up these processes manually during the early research phases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite to create user journey maps, organize UX research data, and collaborate effectively with my team, enhancing real-time brainstorming and clear communication. It turns raw notes into visual diagrams, which helps in spotting patterns and speeding up decision-making.

Smooth collaboration and quick diagramming that boosts workflow

  • November 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid makes it extremely easy to turn ideas into clear visuals quickly. The interface is smooth, the templates are solid, and real-time collaboration actually works without lag. It’s simple enough for quick brainstorming but also powerful when you need detailed workflows or architecture diagrams. It saves time, keeps teams aligned, and reduces back-and-forth during planning sessions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features feel locked behind higher pricing tiers, and occasionally the editor gets sluggish with very large diagrams. Integrations work well overall, but a few require manual setup that could be simpler. The export options are good, but high-quality exports sometimes need extra steps. None of these are deal-breakers, but they can slow things down during heavy use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid helps me quickly turn loose ideas into structured, shareable visuals. It solves the problem of scattered communication during planning, making it easy for teams to align on workflows, architecture, and project requirements. Because everything updates in real time, it removes confusion and reduces long feedback cycles. It also helps centralize diagrams, so documentation stays consistent across the team.

Drag and drop functionality available to make flow charts very fast

  • November 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With the easy-to-use drawing tools, customization options, and an extensive shape and icon library, I am able to quickly create clear and professional flow charts which helps boost efficiency as I quickly take an idea and break it down through process flows.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are all these templates popping up and I do not like that I can get to a list of my drawings from a different page than the drawing one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The flow charts helps me outline the step-by-step process of gathering data and reporting on our environmental, social and governance performance leading to better visual communication and organization of ideas.
