A Powerful and Intuitive Tool for Visual Collaboration Across Teams

  • May 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid makes it incredibly easy to collaboratively build flowcharts, architecture diagrams, and mind maps in real time. The intuitive drag-and-drop interface, vast template library, and seamless integrations with tools like Slack, Google Workspace, and Jira make it a go-to for technical and non-technical teams alike. The real-time collaboration feels just like working together in person, even when remote.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, performance lags with very large or complex diagrams, especially when multiple collaborators are editing at once. Some advanced features, like conditional formatting or data linking, can be a bit hidden or unintuitive for new users. Also, the pricing tiers may feel steep for small teams that only need basic functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing knoweldge and arch diagrams with teammates.
Brainstorming solutions

Templates are great for starting to use Lucid

  • May 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Templates are a great way to start creating projects. I have used it for career growth and brainstorming on what is needed for my direct reports to grow. I have used it for 1:1's to highlight things that went well and things that need improvement. There are so many templates / ideas to start the creative juices.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside that I have had so far is just the learning curve of how to use it effectively. Knowing how to grab the screen and more it etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mind mapping is useful to get the participation and buy in to my direct report's growth. I have them the starting point and a few of the arms and then asked them to fill in more so that they are taking part in what is needed for them to grow into their next role.

Amazing Easy to Use; No Learning Required

  • May 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The suite of tools is very easy to use with little to no learning curve. For someone who needs to document the world around them easily, clearly, and with flexibility, Lucid is your tool. I use this tool 3x/week or anytime I need to visually explain how I'm thinking data or workflows could look like.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's quite possible it exists, but it would be nice to be able to create a brand profile (to allow me to upload colors, fonts, logos and icons) to make formatting easier and more automatic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid is solving a problem that other typical business software apps don't do well--allowing me to create relationships between blocks of text and easily move things around.

Transforming Teamwork with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite

  • May 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid stands out for its intuitive and highly visual approach to collaboration. The real-time syncing across team members allows for seamless brainstorming, diagramming, and project planning. The drag-and-drop interface makes creating flowcharts, mind maps, org charts, and wireframes incredibly simple—even for non-designers. Integration with major platforms like Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, and Slack is another big plus, making it easy to slot Lucid into existing workflows.

The ability to track changes, leave comments, and collaborate asynchronously means that even distributed teams can work efficiently. Lucidchart and Lucidspark together form a powerful combination for both structured diagrams and more freeform ideation sessions.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Lucid offers a lot of functionality, the learning curve can be steep for first-time users unfamiliar with visual planning tools. Some advanced features—like conditional formatting or custom data linking—are only available on higher-tier plans, which may not be cost-effective for smaller teams. Additionally, performance can lag a bit when working with very large or complex diagrams, especially on less powerful machines or slower internet connections.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite solves the challenge of aligning teams in real time, especially in remote or hybrid work environments. Traditional whiteboards and static documents don’t offer the same level of flexibility or interactivity. With Lucid’s collaborative whiteboard (Lucidspark), we can visually brainstorm, map out ideas, and run workshops without being in the same room.

It’s been a game-changer for cross-functional collaboration—designers, developers, and project managers can contribute to the same board, organize feedback, and track progress. This eliminates silos, reduces miscommunication, and speeds up decision-making. For us, the biggest benefit has been turning meetings into action plans and keeping everyone on the same page, literally and figuratively.
