Lucid Chart has made making training material 10x easier, faster, easier to edit.
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how easy it is to use. The program layout is very easy to follow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that it doesn't give you a space to work with for a certain size paper. I sometimes make charts only to find they won't print well.

I use it to make training materials for my job in HR. This program has made creating documents efficient and easy to do.

Sometimes Visuals Are Better For Understanding.
What do you like best about the product?
Its easy UI to make a DAG or any pipeline graphs easily. Alternatively, if you're going into a project that's been underway, it's easy to pick up or to modify and get a better understanding. As a visual learner, it helps to see what's where and what's doing what.
Formatting shapes and adjust minor details is A LOT easier than any microsoft or google apps. I really appreciate some hotkeys being transferred over from microsoft, such as make font bigger or smaller. It's very transferrable coming from a legacy system.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not a dislike but I find myself using the shapes tab quite often and I forget I can change the colours from the ribbons. I dislike having to input a "shape in use" and having to change the colours through the ribbon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the how complex data pipelines are made and are in use. It's far easier and more powerful to show rather than explain in words.
Easy and Intuitive Diagramming for Everyone
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to get started with Lucid Charts. The user interface is very intuitive, and I was able to create professional-looking flowcharts and diagrams without much of a learning curve. The drag-and-drop functionality and wide variety of templates make it simple to visualize complex processes and ideas. I also really appreciate the real-time collaboration features, which allow me to work on diagrams with my colleagues simultaneously.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, I find that the free version is a bit too limited, which makes it hard to fully explore all the features. While the templates are great, it can be a little difficult to customize them extensively without some extra effort. Also, for very large or complex diagrams, the software can occasionally lag, which can be a bit frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This benefits me by:
Improving Communication and Alignment: Instead of lengthy email chains or confusing meetings, I can create a diagram that clearly shows a process or a system. This helps me and my colleagues get on the same page quickly and reduces misunderstandings.
Streamlining Workflows: By visualizing our team's processes, we can easily identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. This makes our work more efficient and helps us complete projects faster.
Enhancing Collaboration: The real-time collaboration features make it feel like we're all in the same room, even when we're working remotely. We can brainstorm on a shared canvas, add comments, and make changes together, which is much more effective than trying to describe things over a video call.

New to the software. I've been a user of Visio for years.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to share my work across our current platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I've not seen how to work offline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps by creating visual content that best explains the project roadmap and concepts being used.
...wish I came across that tool a long time ago!
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is so easy to use and is such a collaboration enabler, even for someone like me, who is not the most technical guy around! I absolutely love the clean desktop interface, which makes my life easier when creating diagrams in a super efficient way. I am also impressed by the large amount of available Templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
The experience that I've had when trying to use this suite on mobile device could have bene much better (could be because of a "web-first design" approach somehow)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
“Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite helps our Professional Services Team to turn complex ideas into clear, shared visuals in real time. It also helps a lot to eliminate miscommunication, whilst keeping projects and ideas aligned—especially when working with individuals across various countries!”
Powerful Yet a Bit Overwhelming for Beginners
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ability to create custom flowcharts that help my team see the big picture and understand their roles. I find the feature to insert links to documents very helpful, and I really like the decision-maker tool in the flowchart. Autoload features are set so that it flows intuitively on its own.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the software to be somewhat complex, with functions that are more advanced than what I require, resulting in a bit of a learning curve. The terminology used in the software is not entirely clear to me, and I still struggle with simple tasks like making arrows straight in flowcharts. The software could be more beginner-friendly, as it feels overwhelming with its robust features. It would be beneficial to have more detailed help resources, examples of feature applications, and possibly a simpler, less expensive version tailored for beginners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use the product to organize multi-step processes, ensuring clarity on team responsibilities and facilitating smooth task handoffs through linked flowcharts.
A versatile and intuitive platform for seamless team collaboration.
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite makes it incredibly easy to visualize complex workflows and align cross-functional teams. The drag-and-drop interface, wide array of templates, and real-time collaboration features enable our team to brainstorm, plan, and execute projects effectively—even when working remotely. The ability to integrate with tools like Slack, Jira, and Google Workspace streamlines our workflow and reduces time lost switching between apps. It’s especially powerful for product planning, architecture diagrams, and stakeholder presentations.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform is generally intuitive, it can sometimes feel a bit sluggish when working on large, multi-page diagrams. Additionally, the pricing model may not be ideal for smaller teams or organizations looking for advanced features without a full enterprise plan. It would also be helpful to have better offline access or sync capabilities for situations with limited internet connectivity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite helps us overcome communication gaps between technical and non-technical teams by providing a shared visual space for brainstorming, architecture diagramming, and collaborative planning. It’s especially helpful during sprint planning, systems design reviews, and incident response retrospectives. By enabling asynchronous collaboration through editable diagrams and whiteboards, we’ve significantly reduced meeting times and improved alignment across remote team members. The clarity and speed with which ideas can be illustrated has boosted both decision-making efficiency and cross-functional understanding.
User Perspective: Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite Experience
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is how easy it makes working together in real time. The interface is clean and simple, so even if you’re not super tech-savvy, you can jump right in. Plus, having lots of templates and different visual tools all in one place saves me a ton of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is that it can slow down when working with really large or complex diagrams, which can be frustrating. Also, some advanced features aren’t very easy to find or understand without extra guidance. Lastly, the free version feels a bit limited, and the paid plans can be pricey for individual users or small teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite solves the problem of remote teamwork by making it easy to create, share, and edit visual projects together in real time. This benefits me by helping my team stay on the same page no matter where we are, speeding up decision-making and reducing miscommunication. Instead of sending files back and forth, we can brainstorm, plan, and organize ideas all in one place, which saves time and keeps our work more organized.
Has a ton of potential but is not very intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it can be used very collaboratively. I have used it to create project outlines, illustrate user flows, and highlight important discussion points. I also like that there are a ton of templates to choose from to help me with project planning.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside of this platform is its usability. I'm very used to using Figjam as a collaboration tool, so compared to Figjam, I don't think Lucid is as intuitive to use. A few examples I can think of right now is that on Figjam, I'm able to use the pen feature just by pressing "P", I can also use the select feature by pressing "V", and create rectangles by pressing "R". Another thing that doesn't seem to work well is the scrolling function. When I try to scroll using my mouse, it instead forces me to zoom in and out of the screen. The only way the scroll feature works for me is if I use my trackpad on my laptop. I find this to be the most frustrating part of this platform because it takes an extra step for me just to scroll from one part of the document to another. With Figjam, the scrolling function works perfectly without me having to use a different scroll. Additionally, if I want to zoom in and out, I would simple just press the command key and scroll.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowing me and my team to brainstorm ideas for a new project, create a project outline, and show user journeys. It does not address the need for wireframing, as Figma is best used for that. With that said, since I do all my wireframing on Figma, I do prefer to do my collaboration whiteboard on Figjam since it's the same platform.
