Service operations workflow
What do you like best about the product?
Pretty user-friendly and the interface is intuitive, and I really appreciate the variety of options and templates available. It makes creating diagrams and process maps quick and straightforward. The drag-and-drop functionality and real-time collaboration features are excellent. I also like the ability to put it in presentation mode and the plug-in options to Confluence.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initially, I found it a bit challenging to understand the different tools and options, and I had some trouble figuring out how to save the map.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a visually appealing interface with helpful diagram options. Importing the map into our team's Confluence page was very easy.
Great Aesthetically and Productively
What do you like best about the product?
Have been using Lucid for a little over a year now and love using it for any kind of diagram or visual I need to produce for either work or for personal use. As stated in the title, I am in LOVE with the visual look of the tools and the website in general, and using the tool simply feels great. I cannot stress how much I appreciate the visual appeal compared to alternative tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
If there was a tour feature or a more straightforward method for learning all the little tricks and settings that almost always improve my workflow, this tool would be more clear for a lack of a better word. It's hard to get into the rhythm of using Lucid but once you do, it's really enjoyable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding a great collaborative charting tool that makes things simple and fluid for me and my team make it the undeniable choice for me.
Slick yet somewhat complicated
What do you like best about the product?
Although I do admit Lucid is much easier and more intuitive than other chart creating platforms, to me it still feels like the initial complexity and available options make using Lucid intimidating as a beginner.
What do you dislike about the product?
As I said before, all the options and just general clutter on screen when making visuals makes it hard for me to give it a 10. Still better than others such as draw.io in terms of collaboration and connectivity, but still has a lot of work to get to a 10.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly finding a free online charting platform that looks nice and has "less"
(still more than I prefer) clutter than alternative solutions.

Intuitive UX - Org Chart Templates Lacking
What do you like best about the product?
I like the intuitive nature between elements. I used Lucid to generate my company's complex org chart, and I liked that once linked via lines, I could move boxes freely without the lines breaking. I liked that I could organize my document into different tabs and I liked the overall clean and professional aesthetic of the diagram. I also liked that there was a number of export options, however I encountered some problems with that.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest thing for me was that the org chart templates did not fulfill the complex needs of my organization. The variance in hierarchies and the breadth of employees meant that the standard org chart came out looking not right. I had to manually build the org chart out block-by-block, but would have much preferred to use the org chart templates that allowed you to collapse and expand sections and were easily updated by HR, if necessary.
When exporting my diagram as SVG, the plan was to import into a Canva presentation deck. The SVG didn't export correctly and I had to open the document in Adobe Illustrator, fix the fill of some elements (even though on Lucid it all looked fine), and re-upload to Canva. Perhaps some kind of preflight or Canva integration would work well.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem was our org charts were outdated, ugly, didn't fully present the true hierarchies of our organization. Essentially, they weren't professional. In addition, they were static. We needed something that solved all of that, plus was able to be digital so we could embed into a private page on our website that could be sent to stakeholders to ease through navigation.
Good tool to manage diagrams
What do you like best about the product?
I had different kind of graphs to design and the tool was great because it is so easy to use and offers a wide variety of boxes and charts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free version is too limiting and sometimes it is difficult to move objects if there are arrows linked to them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am creating org-charts and it was so time consuming with powerpoint, especially when you remove or add roles and you have to align everything every time, Lucid solves all these issues.
