Nice choice for system design
What do you like best about the product?
As a software engineer, I love Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite for its intuitive interface and real-time collaboration features. It’s easy to create detailed diagrams, flowcharts, and wireframes, and the wide range of templates helps speed up the process. The cloud integration with tools like Google Drive and Slack makes sharing and accessing files seamless. It's cross-platform, so everyone on the team can collaborate, no matter the device. Overall, it’s a powerful, flexible tool that enhances team productivity and communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the interface is intuitive, it can feel a bit sluggish when working with very large diagrams

As a software engineer, it helps me quickly map out system designs, workflows, and processes, making it easier to share and discuss ideas with teammates.
AI features working great for templates
What do you like best about the product?
The hardest part of every diagram I ever made was the starting point. Somehow, I always have a hard time breaking the inertia and putting my ideas in actual representations on screen. The new AI feature helped me a lot with this.
After a brief description, I got really good suggestions for diagrams. I tried it for flowcharts, UML sequence charts, and organizational diagrams. All of them gave me a good starting points and abbreviated my work a lot.

What do you dislike about the product?
I had a hard time with the AI features when I gave detailed instructions. I'm not sure if it is just me that sucks at prompting engineering or if it is a tool limitation.
After trying a few times, I figured out it would be easier just to give a simple description and work my way with the results. Getting the diagrams for specific instruction would always result in an over-complicated diagram that is too hard even to re-edit.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a. software engineer, and I need to "translate" UML diagram to a more "palatable" design for some presentations.
This, by the way, would be a great new feature for your model (if it is not already doing it).
Get some technical design/diagram/etc and make it a easy to understand, attractive diagram.

AMAZING and easy to use software!
What do you like best about the product?
I LOVE being able to use my creativity and make visuals, specifically process mapping. Being able to visually see my flow and how certain operations happen within my company is not only helpful for the person doing the tasks but also for transparency for management and other departments to understand what it is you are doing in your role!
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont have much to say in terms of anything negative, it does exactly what I need and its super easy to use!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our new hires in our department get a little confused on the process flow when they first start with us. I have created maps for them to follow to make onboarding someone new a breeze!
Well thought of Application
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid charts helped me build the LLDs for our project with quick turnarund time. The UI is user firendly and offers multiple templates & library to choose from for the project. The feature I like most is the online collaboration, this helps close the project design in less time and the reviewer can directly access the app and help close it.
What do you dislike about the product?
wish it supports offline view via app or something.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps collaborate on the diagram instead of sharing the .draw file (other players in the market) offline and this sometimes loose the history of the review.
Nothing equals Lucid to share your vision of a new product or of a High Level Architecture Design
What do you like best about the product?
For the entire time I've been in the Software Development Field, Lucid has been a core component of visualization and collaboration. You can create an initial document, send it to others and work on it with multiple people in real time. I have built lots of High Level System Architecture documents, Database schema, lots of Organigrams and even interactive UI Mockups where you can click on buttons. It is very easy to implement new High level designs, which without Lucid, I'm really not sure if I would be able to share my vision this clearly.
You can create Teams or Folders and add people in them so that you can share and find documents very easily. The folder architecture is great and allows me to organize the documents and design by projects/products. It integrates very well with Entra ID.
I have built our SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) using this platform as well. Easy to then share to everyone.
I had one problem related to my graphics card and a brand new update (boxes were appearing weirdly) they released at one point, contacted their support and they enabled me to turn off the feature flag from the UI for that new feature within hours, and they fixed the problem a few days later for me to use the fonctionnality. Truely a great compagny.
If you aren't using Lucid in 2024/2025, you are definetly missing on something very good. I personnaly use it on a daily basis.

I always want to generate Icons using AI for new internal software services to add branding, it could be interesting for the platform to have this built in. Someplace where you tell it "Hey here is what my service is doing, please generate an SVG icon for it and I want to to be related to an eagle." and it would generate icons for you choose where to add it. I think this would be a great addition to a visualization platform like this.

Lucid is solving the main problem of creating the same vision for everyone. To me, this is the most important problem that it solves. A picture is worth a thousand words.
Good Flow Chart Webapp
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to realise quick flow charts and share and collaborate with others. A go-to tool for diagrams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime hard to find the exact object or graphic needed so settle for something less ideal.

Diagraming and collaborating on software architecture. The first port of call when considering the implementaiton of complex pipelines.

What do you like best about the product?
I really liked how easy it was to use ,as a new user it was quite straight forward to get started.really like it for both being web based and it connectivity to both Google and Slack

As easy as it was to get started the more advanced functions were much more complex to learn,as a single user i found the pricing steep

What do you like best about the product?
The lucidchart software is a much better software for flowchart creation. It not only can replace Microsoft's Vizio, it is also easier to navigate

Ability to create and share charts diagrams quickly using pre existing shapes
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to create custom made shapes with specific parameters, for example as a Audio visual designer I want to create shapes and tools for building floor plans which including computer hardware, cabling and cameras. I want to be able to customize these shapes so they have specific functions like a device with 3 diffrent coloured line outputs or a wall with a pre defiened door or window!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to create clear diagrams to share with my leadership or to use in various day to day documentation. I particulary use it to share mind map, diagrams, mood board with my team
As a QA Automation Engineer, I use it to view the architectural structure of the application.
What do you like best about the product?
It is simple and intuitive to use for QA Engineers.

The interface is a bit too overwhelming.
