My Go-To Tool for Flowcharts
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid has quietly become one of those tools I can’t imagine working without. Whether I’m mapping out workflows, pitching a new idea, or just trying to make sense of a messy system, it’s my go-to. It feels intuitive—you don’t need to be a designer to make something that looks clean and communicates clearly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn’t say there’s anything major I dislike, but there are a few small things that could be better. Version history can get a bit confusing, especially in large diagrams with lots of collaborators. Sometimes I just want to see what changed and when, without digging through layers of edits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid helps us get ideas out of our heads and into something visual—fast. Whether it’s system architecture, org charts, user journeys, or quick brainstorming, it gives structure to messy thinking. It’s been especially useful for remote collaboration; instead of trying to explain something over Slack or email, we just build a quick diagram together and everyone’s aligned in minutes. It cuts down on miscommunication and speeds up decision-making across teams.
Great diagramming tool that is easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid allows you to capture all different kinds of diagrams and share them with your peers, so that you can collaborate easily across the globe. Everything is stored in one place, which is super useful. It offers a bunch of integrations (e.g. Slack), so you can be notified in real time. We use it several times a week when we discuss current architecture or future improvements in our systems. Overall, UX is very good. It has the usual keyboard shortcuts and ability to import any icons or images you might like.
What do you dislike about the product?
You need to get used to how certain things work. Sometimes Lucid misbehaves a little bit and it interconnects a box you've just added (and you want to add a label to) with other boxes, which isn't intuitive. That can be easily corrected, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We discuss system architecture. We capture our system from multiple perspectives, which is easy to do with Lucid thanks to its wide variety of templates.
Great platform, easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid presents an easy way to collaborate and brainstorm on projects, goals, and tasks with other team members. Easily integrates with other systems as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes can feel crowded and difficult to look at. Also can be hard to find exactly what you are looking for once there is a lot of data/writing on a worksheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the problem of not having a virtual worksheet and collaboration board for our team to brainstorm ideas on.
Collaborative tool for sharing ideas and discuss together to achieve more productivity
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy for teams to ideate, organize and execute projects effectively. The designs and seamless integrations keeps the productivity valuable for all business sizes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like its real-time collaborative features that allows teams to work together no matter. for creator it is the best tool to work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For paid subscriber it’s perfect for business to create diagrams, view more insights and access advanced features but for unpaid ones quite problematic to learn at first.
Unlocking Teams Growth
What do you like best about the product?
It's seamless integration of various team tools that enhance team activity creativity and communication all in one. I have to use this daily so it has been a slight challenge learning to share data but it also reminds me of whiteboard days where I can really throw all my ideas out there to share with my colleagues in a visual way for the to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve for new users. If your used to sharing data on an excel etc this is a big change and majes you use the creativity side of your brain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It really allowes us to make a high level visual and get rid of the small unneeded details.
VERY easy to use - the visual and feel of excel but 10000000x easier
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to modify a flow, you can change the arrows, shapes, colors, anything! I also like how you can copy and paste an entire section and quickly rearrange the flow!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could 'reverse' paste or 'flip' after you copy so that it could flow into a previously drafted flow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documenting the operational flow of information and impacts on financial statements
Was given the software instead of Visio for creating flow charts
What do you like best about the product?
I like that many people can share a project. Sharing a program that all can use and change as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a slighter bigger leap in training that I was expecting. I did sit through the 2 hour training session, but until you are using it, it's difficult to retain all of the uses and the ease of the use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are mapping out the process for NEPA and how all of the federal agencies work together and what is required by each to create a flow chart.
