User-Friendly and Teams-Ready, but Didn’t Quite Fit Our Needs

  • February 17, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It was very user friendly for someone who has never created an organizational chart before. It integrated with Teams easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, but ultimately, it was unable to do what I was looking for it to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product makes it easy for someone with little to no experience creating organizational charts to make one that looks great.

Intuitive UI, Ideal for Design Documentation

  • February 17, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite because its UI is very intuitive and easy to use. It reminds me of drawdata.io, which I used recently after graduating, so the familiarity is nice. I also like Lucid charts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was more shapes options on Lucidchart so I don't have to import.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite to create design documents for new epics and describe designs for implementation features.

Intuitive Drag-and-Drop That’s Easy for First-Time Users

  • February 17, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I think the drag and drop is quite useful. It is very intuitive for first time users to figure out how and what to use even if they are seeing it for the first time. As long as there are some experience that are related - such as Google Drawings or Figma it is super helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the only downside is the automatic create box item. It is also very difficult to format the arrows since sometimes they are super tricky to select.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving a lot of business mapping problems, which is very useful for thought alignment and the team can work together.

Intuitive Interface, Perfect for Team Collaboration

  • February 17, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really do like the interface of Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite. It makes it very easy to create the visuals that I need, and it's much simpler than other tools I've used. I love that it's good for collaboration, allowing multiple people to edit a document in real time and making it easy to tag someone for updates. It's also great that I can share documents with others easily. Plus, I appreciate that it's integrated with other tools I use, like Jira, Confluence, and Slack. The initial setup was simple, with helpful tutorials to understand how to get started, and it's very easy to learn and pick up, even for non-technical people.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the free plan is a bit limited when it comes to export options, so I'm a little bit disappointed about that. There are also limits on what you can do. Sometimes it can be hard to find certain shapes or tools because there is such a big variety.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find that Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite makes it very easy to create visuals and map out workflows. It also simplifies collaboration by allowing multiple people to edit documents in real time and tag others for updates. As someone who uses LucidChart often in my workplace, I appreciate that there are community forums where I can read peer discussions, pick up tips, and access shared templates from other users. The support responses are generally helpful when the problem isn’t time‑sensitive.

Intuitive Visual Collaboration Suite with Powerful Templates and Shape Libraries

  • February 17, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Lucid’s Visual Collaboration Suite because it combines ease of use with a very rich set of features and components, so it works well for both quick ad‑hoc diagrams and more complex team workflows.

From a usability perspective, the interface is very intuitive: drag‑and‑drop editing, smart alignment and snapping, auto‑layout options, and simple connectors make it easy to get a clean diagram even if you’re not a designer. The learning curve is low, most people can be productive within minutes, which is important when you’re collaborating with non‑technical stakeholders.

The breadth and depth of built‑in components is a major plus. There are extensive shape libraries for flowcharts, org charts, mind maps, architecture diagrams, wireframes, whiteboarding sessions, and more. Templates for common use cases (process mapping, user journeys, system designs, retros, PI planning, etc.) mean you rarely start from a blank canvas. This saves time and also promotes consistency across teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
One specific usability issue I dislike is how Lucid embeds behave inside Confluence pages. When a Lucid chart diagram is embedded, normal page scrolling with the mouse wheel often ends up zooming in and out of the Lucid diagram instead of just scrolling the Confluence page. This feels quite jarring in day‑to‑day use: you’re trying to read the document and move down the page, but suddenly you’re stuck zoomed into a tiny part of the diagram or zoomed all the way out.

It’s especially frustrating for viewers who only want to quickly glance at a diagram in context, rather than actively edit it. You have to be very careful where your cursor is when scrolling or keep clicking outside the diagram to “escape” it. For long Confluence pages with several embedded Lucid diagrams, this behavior quickly becomes disruptive and breaks the reading flow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is mainly solving communication and alignment problems around complex systems and processes, and that’s where it helps a lot with application and trade flow diagrams.

For application and trade flows, it gives us a single, shared visual language that both technical and non‑technical stakeholders can understand. Instead of long email threads or dense documents, we can show how data, orders, and events move across systems in a clear end‑to‑end diagram. This reduces misunderstandings, speeds up reviews, and makes it easier to spot missing steps, failure points, or ambiguous ownership.

  • February 17, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The templates are impressive and they allow me to quickly create all the diagrams I could ever need for our projects. It has a lot of shape customization options and pixel precise line movements. I like how easy it is to map organization’s processes, organization charts, and workflow pipelines.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more export options available, however the PDF, PNG, and SVG options that I use the most do work great and are of great quality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I create diagrams showing how investment opportunities move from identification and evaluation to approval and execution and by presenting these complex processes in a clear, visual format we are able to improve stakeholder communication.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use pre-existing formatting for shapes and elements to create my diagrams or flowcharts. I find navigating the dashboard simple and the endless canvas is great because I am able to be creative with what I decide to create. What do you dislike about the product?

Creating detailed workflow diagrams helps map out event timelines and registration processes to ensure every operational part of the event is clearly structured and efficiently executed.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is a very feature rich platform providing a wide variety of icons, lines, shapes and images which helps me to draw diagrams quickly and a straightforward drag and drop. The ability to add text boxes to the flows sets it apart from other similar tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could use a few more arrow connectors but thats really barely an issue for me as I can easily customize the arrowhead style.

Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite allows me to create really nice organizational charts clearly showing reporting structures, departmental responsibilities and mapping task sequences that improves administrative efficiency across the office.

Visual planning has improved architecture diagrams but pricing still needs reconsideration

  • February 17, 2026
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Lucidchart is designing HLD and LLD diagrams. Recently, I created an automation service using Lucidchart to create the HLD and LLD so I could present it to the stakeholders and for the team's understanding. I used Lucidchart to create the HLD and LLD so that users can see and know the architecture of that automation.

What is most valuable?

The best features Lucidchart offers are that it is easy to use, the diagrams created are of good quality, and there are a lot of elements available.

Out of the features I mentioned—ease of use, quality diagrams, and the variety of elements—I find myself using a combination of all elements or shapes more often.

Lucidchart has impacted my organization positively by helping me create the HLD, LLD, and architectural diagrams easily.

What needs improvement?

I think Lucidchart can be improved by reducing the pricing, as it is a bit high.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Lucidchart for more than three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Lucidchart is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Lucidchart's scalability is good.

How are customer service and support?

Lucidchart's customer support is good. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate the customer support a five.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not previously use a different solution.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment, as the time has been saved is about one to two hours.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that we do not have to use the setup because we are using public cloud. We just created an account on Lucidchart and started using it.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing Lucidchart, I did not evaluate other options.

What other advice do I have?

Lucidchart is a good tool. I would rate this review seven out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Amazon Web Services (AWS)
