Flowchart and Process Map Upgraded!

  • December 12, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I love most about the suite is the amount of functionality and practicality it has when creating process maps or flow charts. The essential shapes such as the ovals, arrows, diamonds, etc. are placed on the most convenient way possible. The canvass to start and templates are a great way to assist beginners or experts to layout their plan and finish it in the earliest time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is somehow overwhelming at the start and technicial for beginners, as when you try to create your first process tree by placing the boxes and arrows, it is on the technical side by showing the length of the arrow. The copy-paste feature of the arrows, that you want to replicate, is cumbersome to insert in between the boxes to match the length of the previous, in return you have to re-adjust all the other arrows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It alleviates the problem of constructing a proper and well-designed flow chart that allows you to share it to stakeholders for easier viewing and understanding. The best part about Lucid Suite is the straightforward interface that lets you get your work done the way you want to do it.

What do you like best about the product?
the collaboration aspect of couse! My team can share information and can keep everyone engaged in presenting their canvas. Its been a great tool to get projects underway. We use it every meeting and present screen and everyone is on working on one canvas.
What do you dislike about the product?
so far been difficult getting outside resources to collaborate on the tool. It seems like they have to have a lucid account even with the link shared to be able to view and edit the source.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for a lot of brain storming, it helps jump start our meetings and get projects underway. The simplicity of the application is great even for beginners

Google workspace does not have a built in org chart... Lucid helped us solve for that

Navigating Architecture Diagrams with Lucid: A Mostly Smooth Journey

  • December 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a daily user of the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite, I find myself immersed in a platform that brings a certain clarity to my workflow, particularly when it comes to drawing architecture diagrams. The intuitiveness of the interface paired with the versatility of the tools at hand allows me to seamlessly translate my conceptual frameworks into visual representations that are both coherent and appealing.
One of the strengths of Lucid lies in its streamlined design; it is crafted to facilitate smooth navigation and manipulation of elements within the workspace. The ability to collaborate in real-time adds a layer of dynamism to the process, enabling me to work alongside team members to refine and iterate on designs as they evolve.
The array of templates and shapes available within Lucid is commendable—a testament to its commitment to serving a wide range of diagramming needs. This plethora of options ensures that I can jumpstart my projects without the inertia that comes from having to create everything from scratch.
What do you dislike about the product?
As someone deeply engaged in creating diagrams that adhere to specific notations, I've encountered a snag in the form of incomplete element lists for certain notations. For instance, the Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) notation does not have a complete list of elements available in Lucid. This can be a source of frustration as it interrupts the workflow and necessitates either a workaround or the creation of custom elements to fill in the gaps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite stands as a fundamental tool in my everyday work, providing a solid foundation for diagramming and visual collaboration. While it would benefit from expanding its library to cover more specialized notations, its core functionality remains strong and dependable. With a few enhancements, Lucid could very well become the go-to solution for all diagramming needs across various industries.

Very good system for creating visualizations from scratch, needs a solution for regimented data

  • December 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is amazing for creating visualizations for my presentations. I always use Lucid as a tool to flowchart things, create visuals, or to map things out live with my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is timeline capability, but it has not been easy enough for me to understand. I would like a feature or plug-in that allows me to create visualizations for timelines quickly an easily (Ex. Maybe port timelines directly from smartsheet into a lucid template timeline). If this capability exists, it has not been explained welll from an end-user perspective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's only solving the diagramming workflow problems, it's a breeze and is easy to use!

Great tools to visualise and collaborate

  • December 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Things I like the most about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite are easy sharing option to collaborate with teammates and seamless integration with google entities such as sheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot dislike the part that is still in progress! The AI component should be enhanced so that a requirement in text can be translated into charts more effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being a consultant, we have a business need of capturing client business workflows. This involves making sure the assumptions about data flow and rules applied are acknowledged by the client to be correct. We used google sheets and docs for capturing the requirements. However, workflows are difficult to capture in words. Lucid suite helps resolved this issue by demonstrating the captured requirements to client and also getting them corrected by collaborating.

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the ability to work on shared documents with the team very easily. The platform is easy to access and interact with when building my diagrams. Also the integration with Google to get lucid into my calendar invites is very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing specifically I dislike about the software. Even minor issues from the community they seem to take a strong approach to try to enable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this to draw out diagrams before and after our consulting work with clients and it's great on both ends to explain current processes and show how processes change from start to end.

The pros and cons of using Lucid's suite

  • December 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I heavily use lucidcharts within my organization for architecture and documentation purposes. We use Lucidcharts in particular because the collaboration aspect is seamless. There is little to no learning curve to use this software, so new team members instantly feel comfortable to contribute to our existing diagrams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating connections between items can be a bit annoying when the edge doesn't snap in place to the item I am trying to connect to. Additionally, a variety of icon sets would be great. We use alot of cloud icons (AWS, GCP, Azure), and having a variety of each resource would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Every team member can have access to view and edit our collection of diagrams. Everything lives in one place, and it is super easy to ramp up new team members to let them join in the knowledge share.

Keep it real, Lucidchart!

What do you like best about the product?
Alright, so let's chat about Lucidchart – this bomb cloud-based tool that's changing the game for anyone who's all about visual vibes and getting things done. I've been diving into this app, and here's the lowdown on why it's making waves in the collaboration scene.

Lucidchart's not playing around when it comes to versatility. Whether you're sketching out workflows, wireframes, or diving into UML diagrams, they've got the templates and shapes to make it happen. It's like having a toolbox for every visual project you're cooking up.

Now, the real magic? Real-time editing. Picture this: You and your crew working on the same diagram, all at once. No more waiting around for updates – it's like a virtual brainstorm sesh where everyone's on the same wavelength. Comments and mentions keep the convo flowing, making teamwork a total breeze.

Security's a big deal, and Lucidchart gets it. Role-based access, document permissions, encryption – they've got the whole package. Your sensitive stuff stays safe, and that's a major win for businesses with serious security needs.

The real MVP move? Lucidchart's got your back with integrations. Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, Slack – they're all invited to the party. Embedding diagrams into docs or slides? Seamless. It's like Lucidchart is the cool kid at the collaboration party, making everyone else step up their game.

Keep it real, Lucidchart!
What do you dislike about the product?
Lucidchart is rad, but there's a little learning curve for the fancy features. It'd be killer to have some extra guidance for those who want to level up. Also, the pricing – it's fair, but for the budget-conscious crews, it might be a pinch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart is straight-up solving my visual chaos problem. As a 27-year-old Marketing Manager, my work life is all about juggling ideas, projects, and collaborations. Lucidchart stepped in like the superhero of organization, helping me turn my brainstorming chaos into a visual masterpiece.

You know how it is when you're trying to explain a concept or map out a project? Words just don't cut it. Lucidchart flips the script by letting me throw together diagrams and flowcharts that scream, "Here's the game plan, people!"

Collaboration? It's a whole new level. Real-time edits mean my team and I can vibe together on the same diagram, no matter where we are. Comments and mentions keep the convo flowing smoothly, like a virtual brainstorming session without the headache.

The versatility is a game-changer too. Whether I'm sketching out marketing strategies, wireframes for a new app, or just laying down some creative process flow, Lucidchart's got templates and shapes for days. It's like my personal toolkit for turning ideas into visual magic.
