Lucidspark - Review

  • February 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid is easy to navigate for anyone that is not essentially a designer
What do you dislike about the product?
From a UI/UX perspective, it's overwhelming since there's so many options to pick from. It would be better if things were more categorized
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company never had a dedicated tool for journey mapping, however, that has been slowly changing since more and more people are discovering the tool.

A valuable tool for project planning visualizing data

  • February 26, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark is an invaluable tool for planning projects and visualizing data relationships. Its templates, intuitive interface, export capabilities, and document sharing feature set it apart from the competition for creating diagrams of any complexity quickly and accurately. Customizable user templates allow you to meet individual needs by personally controlling every element or selected parts with advanced cropping options during export tasks. The team collaboration tools available are particularly useful for organizations handling complex projects that require multiple minds working on different aspects simultaneously.
What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback is the lack of ability to zoom diagrams when exporting from Lucidspark. This can make large diagrams and flowcharts difficult to read, as they cannot be zoomed in for a better view, and you have to break them up into several smaller parts to try to get a clearer view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidspark simplifies collaboration and project management. With its decision trees and diagrams, it's easy to map out tasks for the team to work on during virtual meetings.

Easy to use, but could do with more templates

  • February 23, 2023

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Lucidchart saves me a lot of time creating charts or diagrams on my own and is easy to use! The grammar prompts and suggested edits work great as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer if Lucidchart could provide more charts and diagrams templates and make the designs more aesthetically pleasing for when we export them to integrate with other tools like Microsoft Powerpoint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart helps me to save a lot of time with its available tools and I like that it provides prompts that aid me in my brainstorming process. It also helps me make strategy proposals look more professional with the pre-designed templates!

Exactly What I Needed!

  • February 21, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I was tasked to create a flowchart to clearly diagram information taken from a data scripting document. I continuously searched the internet to find something that would allow me to do this effectively, but to no avail. Excel nor Word was what I needed to get this information across. I tried the trial for Lucidchart and immediately knew it was exactly what I needed. It has upgraded tools to map, drag and create your desired flowchart. I was able to effortlessly digram the information clearly so that anyone who looked at it knew how to read it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much that I can honestly say I disliked about Lucidchart. My dislikes may be a lack of continued usage in where you learn as you go. The more you do, the more you learn. I cannot figure out how to get it to enlarge for printing or PDF purposes. Other than that, this is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solved having to properly, clearly and effectively show the flow of a process. I had to take information from a data script and put it into a flowchart for easy reading and understanding of how the process was scripted.

New to LucidChart

  • February 21, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use
Zero to very minimal training needed to get started
Templates are practical and useful - helps getting started with a first product
Compared to other products the upstart is faster
What do you dislike about the product?
I could have benefited from definitions of shapes and when to use one versus another. if the shape had a click to see description, that would be helpful--for use "in the moment" and without having to leave the page I'm working on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conveying complicated processes and decision-making. I was able to create a decision tree in 15 minutes on my first use of the platform. This reduced my downtime on my deliverable.

Featureful, but first impressions appear to be clunky

  • February 21, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As I have used web sequencingdiagrams & draw.io, its good to see several of the features are similar which greatly helps in moving away from a widely used tooling into Lucid diagramming tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
As we work on confluence a lot, the plugin of lucid/confluence seems to be pretty clunky with slow load times and often crashing (though any partial work are saved automatically).
Some bits of diagramming doesn't seem to be very intuitive and visually not there with draw.io (that may be because of a standard learning curve of the usage of this tool)

An auto completion feature for sequence diagrams (like eclipse/intellij ides) would be very useful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Architecture rely heavily on diagramming and visual collaboration activities. So in that respect Lucid is well positioned to support us.
It is too early to say if using this tool has been better than what was being used before. However, based on the short videos and internet resources I have seen it does appear to have a lot of features (still to be explored and exploited to its full potential).
