A Visual Is Worth 1000 Words
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart is helpful to put thoughts into a visual to assist in articulating thoughts that can sound abstract. I love the number of templates that exist and the ease of use in creating new images and editing existing images.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a slight learning curve when you first begin to use Lucidchart, like any other new tool. There are also a lot of templates to choose from so you may feel overwhelmed at all of the options, initially.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mapping out workflows across multiple teams, and drilling into specific workflows of a single team. It also helps visualize all of the different data sets that exist within an organization so you can zoom out and potentially make sense of how different data sets connect to ultimately alleviate silos.
LucidChart is an awesome mapping software for people who do it collaboratively!
What do you like best about the product?
I like LucidChart's ability to collaborate and add notes per shape feature. It's very easy to use and the output looks professional. We tried using whimsical at first but we were not getting as much depth as we would like.
What do you dislike about the product?
LucidCharts ability to talk with their other products like LucidSpark feels so clunky. I just hope that they add the ability for live updating for the Chart to Spark integration soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidChart helps you visualize processes which is what we need before we start our consulting sessions with our customers. They get to see bottlenecks and areas for improvement and everyone gets to talk about their scope of work, what they wish they are accountable on, and which ones they wish get delegated to someone else.
Best Cloud Diagraming Software Available
What do you like best about the product?
I use Lucidcharts to document processes, data flows, architecture, and more. It's intuitive and has the right amount of auto-formatting, allowing you to create organized/clear diagrams quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It used to take a few clicks to export diagrams, but that process has recently gotten faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid helps me take complicated business or technical processes and simplify them. A picture says 1000 words, and I can now diagram faster than I can type. This type of documentation is even more valuable as teams have shifted to a more remote/hybrid environment.
Best Collaborative Flow Charting Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to look at a flow with a team remotely and make changes quickly is a life-saver. It takes a little time to learn, and isn't so intuitive that you can pass the role off easily if someone is new to Lucid, but overall is a great tool once you get used to it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very intuitive. Takes some time to learn. Which means that if only one person in a meeting is good with the tool, they have to be there, you can't pass off ownership to anyone, like when taking meeting notes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Charting out processes in real time with people that don't always thing in a process-oriented way. Nice to switch between a system and process view pretty easily.
Makes virtual work infinitely more collaborative
What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which I can put together a diagram and have it presentation-ready to share with a client is unsurpassed by any other diagramming software I've used. That ease of use leads to more insights because I spend less time fighting with the tool and more time asking the questions that matter. Doing that level of diagramming live during a virtual meeting is a huge time-saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few finicky things that can be annoying from time to time - certain situations where you can't change the shape of an item after content has already been added is mildly irritating. Having a "adjust line to best fit" option for those occasions when you've moved things all around and have line/connection spaghetti would be a nice feature in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Presenting clients with diagrams of business processes, technical architecture, and design thinking all in one unified output and with a consistent graphical format is huge for our business deliverable consistency and quality. Having one tool be my go-to for anything remotely diagrammable is a big win. Often, we can incorporate the integrations with Azure DevOps and Jira to provide valuable deliverables for client projects without another manual entry point.
Essential tool for my day to day job!
What do you like best about the product?
It is very user-friendly and easy to create a flow within minutes. I usually build the flow while talking with customers and make sure that everyone is on the same page while designing architectures.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I would spend some time looking for a specific feature (ie. cosmetic stuffs in the flows).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building architectures, interactions with systems, or business flows.
The simplest yet creative tool available for all process diagramming.
What do you like best about the product?
I create swim lanes and diagrams portraying the systems that connect within each various system in our company. It's easy to use and creative with different shapes, forms and colors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike so far. I have been a lucid user for 3+ years, and I love everything about it. That there is nothing that I dislike at all. The tool itself is easy to use and very self-taught.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping me solve Various complex diagrams that go through our company from one department to another. It allows me to create a picture of our current process vs. our future state and to simplify breaking down the technicality of a circle and streamline it for simple non-tech savvy stakeholders or end users
Lucid beats out Miro

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything about it. It really useful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows me to place my ideas in a diagram for easier to view and manager
Great diagramming tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's SaaS cloud based tool that can be accessed easily through any devices via web browser. Toolkit has a lot of functions to facilitate collaborations.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a diagramming tool and not really an architecture modeling tool, and so not 100% meeting the needs of architects in the software industry. Because it's not a modeling tool, Lucid Chart cannot person technology analysis and reporting functions that would make it invaluable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a sound software architecture diagramming tool that facilitate ease of collaborations internal and external to our team. Lucid Chart fits that need very well to get us started, but as we mature a true architecture modeling tool to supplement or replace will still be necessary.
Easy to use tool
What do you like best about the product?
The simplistic product and way to collaborate as a team
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't tried, but I would like to see if importing from other tools would work
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
