Prompt, personalized training and easy to use platform for Lucidspark Visualization tools

  • November 21, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid spark is helpful for creating easy, visually comfortable flow charts and org charts of business and lab processes. This is the first visualization platform I've really used in this capacity recently, and I found it easy to work with. The interface is very user-friendly. The training for the software was also tailored to my background and experience, which I found very helpful in understanding the platform. The trainer, Francis, was very accommodating to our schedule, even though we are in very different time zones. The software walkthrough focused only on the elements that we use and would potentially need, rather than some pre-baked training that wouldn't fully apply to our use and situation. Overall, my experience in using this was very positive and the overall product is helpful to our workflow. Overall, the customer service was good and easy to contact. I'm sure if we ever run into any issues, it will be easy to reach someone for help too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, I liked Lucid Spark, but I think that some of the tools could be more easily accessible/findable on the site. It would be nice to have a click and add feature in flow charts rather than just drag and drop, which would help to improve the logical flow of the flow chart steps. I do wish their were a few more lab-specific templates, but that's more of a wishlist item than anything else. I do also wish that it was a touch easier to share with colleagues on some of the charts, but it isn't all that difficult or anything either. Overall though, the software really does what it is meant to do with minimal fuss.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidspark allows us to quickly, efficiently, and easily visualize workflows for our lab, which helps to increase our efficiency when communicating processes to new team members for the first time. We also expect to use some of the Mind Mapping products in the future as we need to. Lucidspark also allows for quick sharing with colleagues of new charts, forms, etc, though the colleagues all must have an account to access the software too. Overall, the tools to visualize workflows are helpful and allow for new team members to quickly and easily understand processes in the lab and company that they may not have understood quite as easily without the clear visualizations. I think this really does help to aid in communication for our team.

Perfect too for documenting processes and work flows.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to use and consistent with other platforms, so there isn't a huge learning curve.
What do you dislike about the product?
The import process from Miro could have been more smooth. All the objects were imported, but I had to manually recreate all the connections.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidspark is a great way to document flows and processes that can be shared across the team.

It would be great to integrate LicidSpark with the other application. Overall do not have any dislikes, I'm able to start and finish my report using Lucid products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Lucidspark is excellent computer programming.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Lucidspark are the user experience and collaborative features. It's perfect for any business size, and it worked smoothly with our primary communication platform, Slack. The autosave function is lovely because it ensures that your connections are always saved. During the Program Increments, the excellent post-its helped us refine our stories. Instead of depending on in-depth email exchanges, team members could quickly and easily discuss and modify their ideas in the comments section--reducing the document's journey time and the number of times it had to be updated.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like about Lucidspark is that it took me a while to get everything set up the way I wanted because the available templates were either too dull or featured extraneous elements that would have been too time-consuming to modify or erase. There is a learning curve to getting started with Lucidspark, but fortunately, the software forgives rookie mistakes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidspark provides a platform for real-time project collaboration with more data and flexibility than previously shared packages. This allows for remote collaboration on drawings and schematics and gives clear instructions to staff.

No polyline / freehand line feature to draw freehand shapes, like for single-use hoses or other non-standard shapes.
There is no hatch fill for shapes.
There is no semicircle shape available in LucidChart

Tons of awesome features!

What do you like best about the product?
Keeping the collection of used shapes in the library is super convenient. The intuitiveness of the software is great (i.e., I made yes/no lines and colored them); the software then asked if I would like to keep that format throughout the design. The layering function is also a great value add.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are occasions when connecting two shapes; the line will show up in a way that doesn't make sense for the flow that's being created. Sometimes, I have to delete the line and create a new one to get it where I like it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidspark is solving the problem of having a flow document too long with its layering feature. This enables me to keep the flow diagram to a consumable length where I can turn on and off the layers when needed.

Great visual platform for sharing and virtual collaboration

  • November 17, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark makes visual diagrams and flow charts easy to create, easy to share, and easy to update. Being able to quickly create visuals and share them with anyone who needs to review, change, or build upon couldn't be easier. The tool is inuitive for all users- thus making the barrier to adoption as low as possible
What do you dislike about the product?
Great for small, more simplistic visuals- but can be challenging to use and navigate for more complex and vast workflows. It would be great to have a way to segment or group certain areas of the diagram - highlighting attention to specific area(s) to collaborators vs appearing overwhleming and difficult to view
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In a mostly virtual world, being able to easily collaborate on process/data flow diagrams internally and externally is critical daily. The ease of adding external users/collaborators is a huge value add, avoiding the challenge of finding a tool that all parties mutually use already

    Transportation/Trucking/Railroad

very easy to use and to share with other parties working together on the same project

What do you like best about the product?
Provides many options to create meaningful charts and org charts
What do you dislike about the product?
Did not provide enough pointers on how to use the different characters provided for different levels or various flow positions with the chart
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to structure an operational and software integrated flow

Easy to use, intuitive with nice sticky notes sorting/ filtering options

  • November 16, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Amazing sticky notes sorting/ filtering options, they are really helpful. Also, it is easy to use from the beginning, and many templates available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sharing options are quite confusing. I've shared a link to my board with some of my colleagues, who use their private account, not a corporate one. And they didn't have an access to multiple features and couldn't collaborate until I changed a sharing option to "guest without login". So they had to open a link from an incognito window without login required and only then they got full access. This was a little bit strange
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Online Collaboration, integration with Jira/ Confluence, almost all that you need in one place. I feel more productive when working with clients
