What do you like best about the product?
Usability of the tool is really a big plus.
Most options are self-explanatory, and can use from the get go.
Best alternative I have seen to Visio.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would have liked a desktop version for this.
File sharing navigation can use some improvement
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Preparing ORG charts
Using it for designing high-level architecture to give a mental image of it to users

Powerful app but takes a while to get up to speed

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
All the options/templates that they present you with to get you started. I'm much more of a make a list in a google doc kind of person which doesn't really translate when you're trying to show something like a email nurture flow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because there's *so many options* it's a little overwhelming to figure out how to use the software on your own. I also found that some of the functionality (like where you click to connect lines, etc) wasn't as intuitive as I would have hoped. It sort of felt like I needed to already know how to use this software to actually use this software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was trying to show a nurture email flow for two different personas. It was taking too long for me to figure out how to do it so I opted to just list it out in a google doc instead. If I have more time to dig in, I'll definitely give it another try.

Lucid Chart

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy that the interface is very clean and well shown. The gridlines are very helpful being already present. I like that you can pre-create a shape once it gets to the end of a link. Printing options are very user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you press enter and have a list it leaves the shape (don't know why I need to hold another button for this). I wish moving around things was easier sometimes (i.e. with swimlanes, it will move everything). I had to google how to do this by locking things. After learning of the lock feature, this was a lot better, but not knowing it/not having it presented made things difficult for a while.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I (think) I will really like the ability to collaborate actively with Lucidchart. I have only used Visio before and had to move to Lucidchart because I have a Mac now. It is pretty self-explanatory which was nice. At least coming from Visio it was. Mostly creating process flows.

Collaboration for a Hybrid World

What do you like best about the product?
The ability of multiple stakeholders to interact in a non-constrained way. The format allows for so many different personality types to express themselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
The iOS version feels a bit clunky - so easy to use on a desktop but less so on the app - however app is very useful for presenting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brainstorming, planning, resource management, note taking, storytelling, presentations - the list can literally go on.

Long time Visio user but companies are moving more to LC

  • March 21, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I do like the templates and the actual visuals - they look and feel far more up to date than competitors
What do you dislike about the product?
Trying to make minor changes to position is *very* clunky. It would be nice to be able to use e.g. the arrow keys/shift arrow keys such as in Visio to do this - it gets *very* frustrating
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have to produce technical diagrams as part of my work so LC falls nicely into the set of tools I work with. I have used Visio for many years so I am comfortable with that but I do like the more updated look and feel of LC

Lucidchart - One stop for all diagrams and flows

  • March 21, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart provides a lot of icons, shapes and symbols to make use of your diagrams and flow charts. It makes a great fit for my use in architecture diagram creations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, nothing I can think of right now. The arrow creation for creating a flow between the source and target sometimes doesn't work as expected easily. This is one area of improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating technical architecture diagrams that would help us solve the problem statement is where I use Lucidchart. The simplicity in creating one using the available icons make it a great fit.

Easy tool to visualize my software architecture

  • March 18, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the simplicity and ease of tool access in Lucidcharts. It helps me do a brain dump of my complex systems and then I can use these charts to showcase to the higher management and peers. Gather their feedback and suggestions, this way of ideating about a software system over a chart is new for me and has helped me immensely in simplifying and explaining it to humans.
What do you dislike about the product?
More shapes to identify different pieces on the chart would be a great addition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use lucidchart to visualize and share Software architecture, system design, algorithm flow charts!

Benefits I like the most are it is easy to use and has a great UX.

Lucidchart for process/material flow tracking

  • March 18, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Standard shapes, arrow diagrams, easy to move/pan around during presentations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Grouping/ungrouping is not the easiest, editing can be very difficult sometimes without ungrouping everything first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using it for material flow and process/quality tracking in smaller assembly lines (aerospace manufacturing)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy flow visualization tool, takes a little time to pick up because it's different from other common Microsoft Office tools like Visio/Powerpoint.

Overall easy and intuitive

  • March 17, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchat makes it easy to create diagrams, connect the components, add additional text and hyperlinks. I particularly like the ability to have multiple tabs that become separate pages when the document is saved as a PDF.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is slow, very slow at times even when I have a very rapid internet connection. Furthermore, the list of documents often does not refresh and show the correct content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to create business structure diagrams. I often do this while on call with clients to give them a visual of what their scenario looks like. I then enhance the chart before sending a copy. Clients love it.

LucidChart simply does everything I need and expect it to do, without too much fuss.

What do you like best about the product?
It is straightforward and intuitive. If I don't know how to do something, I can usually figure it out without looking too hard.
What do you dislike about the product?
I often use shapes within shapes with shapes, and sometimes it can be tricky to select the right one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LucidChart for mapping the structure of our relational database, for mapping the hundreds of programs in the ERP software that we create, and for developing flow charts for the processes within the software. These charts help me visualize and share with colleagues.
