Extremely versatile and powerful diagramming solution
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid is very easy to use, while having a wealth of features and a ton of standard templates and icons; also there are many add-ons (I particularly like the AWS icons to create deployment diagrams)
What do you dislike about the product?
Sharing is a more cumbersome than it should be, and the overall document organization (in virtual folders) is not as flexible as one would like, but those are really minor nits, it is a very versatile, solution
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use LC all over the place to share software architecture diagrams, system diagrams, process flows; the sharing and collaboration features are also super-useful when brainstorming/designing.
Good software for flowcharts
What do you like best about the product?
The collaboration features are excelent. I like that my company integrated SSO so I can work from anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of my colleagues created a shape palate but then rolled off the project. It does not seem to be possible to reassign ownership of the palate and it will have to be recreated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was brought on a project to map current state processes throughout the firm using LucidChart. The tool was extremely helpful in doing so.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need something cloud based and collaborative, this is an excellent choice.
Great Workflow Visualization
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and ability to add visual context - allows me and my team to quickly map out processes and see connections between steps and resources. THis has helped us gain greater understanding of where we are at, and what possibilities we have to improve.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI iconography is slightly outdated looking - it is still easy to use, but is less clean compared to some other workflow/diagramming programs (Miro).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualization of processes (seeing current process mappings, planning future processes and seeing pitfalls, understanding large complex systems and interactions)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is such a powerful tool! Would highly recommend to any organization which needs to better understand their systems/processes with visualization.
Better than Visio
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is intuitive and powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was more control over object alignment in terms of auto-align.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team uses it to host software specifications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out to see if it meets your requirements first. It probably will and will do so better than others.
Pretty decent. Gets the job done.
What do you like best about the product?
Works great for creating the flows that we need for our company, to ensure everyone is on the same page. We primarily use lucid for flow mapping. Just wish it were a little bit more updated in look and feel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Just seems a little outdated in style, but it functions for everything we need. Also, the user administration piece of the tech seems pretty complicated and isn't easy to understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross department communication of company flows and procedures. Seems to work really well when we want to communicate what we're doing and why (flows) internally and with external organizations.
Great tool for diagrams

Able to demonstrate ideas and architectures clearly
What do you dislike about the product?
A great tool that could almost replace whiteboards but not quite
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Demonstrate ideas and architectures as well as documentation creation
Highly recommended for designing architecture diagrams
What do you like best about the product?
I like to page layout and the services icons. The workflow is really convenient to draw and study.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the speed is a bit slow and the webpage is lagging and asks me to refresh it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding the project architecture and workflow.
Great visualization product
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart is one of the best products on the market to help visualize product flows, customer journeys, and campaign steps. It is easy to build and update and can help make complex processes more easily understood.
What do you dislike about the product?
Resizing the canvas space can be challenging at times and also adding and updating the pipeline connectors. These are all minor issues that just take some extra time to get used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had no clear view of the number of emails our customers were getting on a daily/weekly basis. This helped us map out the onboarding process and develop rules around contact points.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
