Awesome
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the best is the ability to manage multiple projects as well as duplicate my creations so that way I am able to easily streamline my workflows and processes within my business.
What do you dislike about the product?
I only dislike the fact that it is not easy to create visually appealing graphics and illustrations. There's also some complexity to the navigation as well as utilizing different tools and objects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
lucid chart I was able to streamline my workflows and processes by creating business process notation charts and creating visual locations for my team to understand the workflow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Watch youtube videos and this will help you utilize the different tools
Useful, versatile
What do you like best about the product?
I like that lucid chart provides an open world to create many different kinds of visual aids to the product process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think with any open experience, it can take time to learn how to use it properly or well. Definitely think the templates are helpful on this front.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a PM, I need to be able to visually explain difficult to grasp flows and concepts. I find that lucid chart helps get the team aligned more quickly.
Great tool
What do you like best about the product?
drag and drop features, user friendly easy to learn
What do you dislike about the product?
limited templates available, copy and paste some time does not work

Lightweight way to collaborate on workflows
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use UI. Modules for templates allow for extra shapes, layouts, etc. are great for expanding what type of information is needing to be shown. Ability to export to non-licensed users makes for simple insertion into slide decks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to specify default shape libraries for new documents. Ability to change tab colors and/or hide tabs from view would be great, similar to how spreadsheet tabs can work in Google Sheets or Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Can easily mock up workflows and change them on the fly when talking with clients. Faster turnaround time for workflow creation and opportunity time to close.
The Power of Visualization
What do you like best about the product?
Translating my ideas into slick visuals with simplicity is the key to communicating the complex and LucidChart helps me do just that. Our team has appreciated the ability to quickly and succinctly communicate their ideas in this manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every once in a while, when I open a saved document, the images or the boxes or the lines have moved slightly and I have to go back through and fix them. This mostly happens with documents we've pulled in from Visio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using LucidChart to build current and forecasted org charts, for venn diagrams, as well as to draft workflows. We've also placed simple floor plans into the system at this point. We've found that LucidChart can address many of our visual needs without the complexity and cost of training someone on Visio.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be careful not to ramp up too quickly. You may only need 5-10 people to use this software at a large company even though you think you may need more seats. After using LucidChart for 5 years we've found that controlling the number of people that have access and ensuring that they are in fact power users of the system is better than having too many people have access to the system where most of them are moderate to weak users.
Has Potential ...too many quirks
What do you like best about the product?
That it is online and can work with multiple collaborators. Able to turn into pdf and png. Access on mobile and multiple OS also makes it ideal if you have cross-platform teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lost info often, history recovery was poor, integration with visio terrible. Too expensive for so many issues. I'd rather use visio on Google drive. Save your money and have better graphics and vba.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scoping for app development has been useful. Outlining strategies for retreating campaigns and training has also been useful. While clunky it is good for things you do not need to modify often.
Good and Resourceful Cloud Based Mapping
What do you like best about the product?
It's very nice to have web and app-based access to the maps, making mapping efficient and non-location-based as done more traditionally. The enablement of remote teams is incredibly effective, couldn't be done the same way without LucidChart.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can be a bit buggy and laggy sometimes, not as smooth or responsive as with standalone software. I can get quite slow when dealing with big, complex maps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem of mapping and doing workshops with remote, decentralized teams. The related benefit is to invest less time preparing workshop sessions and consolidating materials or deliverables after workshops.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's quite simple to use if you have used previous mapping software like Visio, the learning curve shouldn't be a problem for diagramming experienced users. Consider the number of licenses you will need as no collaboration is allowed without a license. Plan in detail how you expect to store maps and make them accessible to the company as there won't be files you can arrange in local or server units, unless you plan to export all of them which won't give edition abilities.
The most important tool in my toolbox
What do you like best about the product?
I used Lucidchart for a wide variety of tasks – from planning the renovation of my basement to creating algorithm flow charts and mind-mapping. This tool is extremely versatile and I am sure it has more uses than what I discovered.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some minor UI glitches, but overall for the value I get from this tool it's easy to ignore any minor problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A wide variety of problems. Primarily I use it for algorithm flow charts, mind-mapping, data structure planning, and work breakdown structures, but I also used it to create a floor plan for my basement.
Diagraming and flow chart standard for everyone!
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how easy it is to adjust and tweak diagrams that you have created. When doing a whiteboarding session with others it is very easy to just draw some shapes initially to keep the conversation moving along, then as others are talking you can just grab the shapes and lines and tweak them to clean up what you have created. Making it sexy is easy!
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like it if the custom shapes that I choose to use would carry over across multiple Lucidchart projects, or if the groupings would be part of the standard set of shapes, I tend to group things together for clarity often and find myself repeating the same actions to find and choose those.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Large-scale solution designs. Data flow diagramming. Swimlane diagrams for showing how a solution will operate across multiple platforms or services.
Using Lucid has allowed me to showcase my designs to a broad audience and let me communicate effectively with many people who are not as technical as I am. Bridging the gap between tech and non-tech people is what Lucidchart excels at!

Recommendations to others considering the product:
For the cost, Lucidchart is far superior to others. There are some free applications that people say are similar, but none are as easy to use and as reliable as Lucid is.
I have even used Lucidchart to do some planning around the house when we were moving furniture around, they have some great floorplan diagrams for planning.
