Easiest Way to Create a Floorplan for a New Business
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart was incredibly helpful for creating the floor plan of the new Coffee shop that we are building. We hired an architect to do our floor plan, but in the end, we needed to make some changes, and with Lucidchart, it was super easy to modify and update this to keep working on our project.
What do you dislike about the product?
It will be nice if they can add an option for 3D modeling as well, to convert the floor plan created into an actual render to be able to visualize in a better way what we plan to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solved the necessity of creating a floorplan without any previous knowledge; it was a little difficult initially, but after understanding how the platform works, it was enjoyable to use for our purpose.
Intuitive User Interface Coupled with Out of the Box Project Solutions Makes for a Great Solution!
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality. The application is very user-friendly, and I like how it tells you which shapes to use and for what purposes on top of allowing a user to save a shape. It is definitely a time-saver when trying to diagram out a flow chart.
What do you dislike about the product?
A difficulty I find is that it is hard to get the arrows to go in the direction I want them to go at times. Maybe if there were a draw function that lets you drag a line around to where you want it to go, and then it snaps into a sharper shape, that would work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can whiteboard out all of our flows in Salesforce for upper management to review, and it helps new hires understand the processes we use to accomplish our projects and goals.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for an out-of-the-box, user-friendly application that will help you map out your thoughts and help clarify the goals you set out for your teams, you have come to the right app. This app is user-intuitive and produces an end product that you can feel good about presenting in front of your bosses and peers.
Great for swimlanes and so much more!
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is elegant and so easy to use. I used the trial to create a complex swimlane flowchart. I just couldn't bear leaving Lucidchart for another solution, so I upgraded and love it!
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found a dislike yet. I'm sure as I use it more, I may find wrinkles. But so far it's a truly excellent user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am mapping business processes across multiple departments in our system to align technology tools. I needed a tool that could help me quickly design complicated swimlane flowcharts and after testing several solutions, including Visio (which I have used before), Lucidchart was just graceful.
Simple yet Powerful
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart seems to have a template for just about everything. If you can imagine it, there's probably someone who has already thought of it or at least something similar. That helps eliminate the brainpower needed to find the chart solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I have found very little I don't like about Lucidchart. Because it is so easy to navigate and make it "do" what you want it to do, it feels like a custom solution. The one thing that I haven't found out how to do is importing custom data from a spreadsheet or something similar to populate a chart. Perhaps it is easy to do, but it didn't stand out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our most significant needs are creating systems and processes for our company and helping people throughout the company see the necessary process flows in an easy-to-understand manner.
Great diagram creating platform
What do you like best about the product?
All the tools and options help make the UI very intuitive and user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more options for creating 3D diagrams and layouts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using this to collaborate and share floorplan redesigns for our productions space has been made very easy by the Lucid platform.
Best customer service experience in a long time
What do you like best about the product?
The system is great, but I unlocked the real benefit when I was stuck with a flow chart design, they responded fast and with a video on how to do it, just for me!! Very impressive
What do you dislike about the product?
Very sensitive and couldn't line things very accurately and quickly, but I'm sure it's my fault and need to practice. Honestly not a lot of dislikes, just wish I could get it for free, lol
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to create an operations work flow for my father's business. Did it professionally, quickly and in the comfort of my own home.

I am searching for the shapes desired from a manufactory standpoint in showing material flow charts.

Having a good SOC to work with in training new employees. Designing easy to use flow charts and desgn descriptions.

None that I can think of. It is like any new system you are trying to learn.

What do you dislike about the product?
-For my diagram, I would have liked text 'pills' (text on connecting arrows) to be larger, allowing text to go onto two lines where needed. With text pills LucidChart does not allow you to use 'enter' to force text onto a new line; instead, I had to use flowchart elements which meant every time they were moved new arrows were automatically added to each end. This added unnecesary steps to editing i.e. needing to delete the automatically added arrows everytime I moved elements around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
-I have saved so much time where previously I would fight with Microsoft 'smart art' for hours, trying to get it to do what I wanted. I am now able to demonstrate new (rather complex) work processes, simply and aesthetically.
Just what I needed!
What do you like best about the product?
I needed to update the fire escape plans for my building. I found everything I needed in Lucidchart and even a few things I didn't know I needed. The plans are simple but look great, and the preset images for rooms were super helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few room images that would help in my plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our fire escape plans were very outdated, and I had to start from scratch in redoing them because the floppy disk the originals were on is lost, haha. So I was able to do the floor plans pretty easily.
Simple, effective, always works
What do you like best about the product?
I typically use it to replace whiteboarding now I work remotely. I love the fact that you can create complex diagrams but can keep things simple if necessary. I can treat it as a whiteboard where my work automatically saves and is organized in one place. I've never experienced oddities of missing work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes on my mac, I struggle a bit to drag and drop entities. Additionally, there could be quicker tools to expand the workplace and enter the desired zoom level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Again, replacing whiteboarding in my day-to-day is the most common use. To visualize ideas in my head when trying to solve problems. I originally moved to paper and pencil, however organizing, saving, and sharing diagrams is made easier with Lucidchart

Simple way to continue to have a classic whiteboarding experience to collaborate with employees while we move towards a more distributed work.
