Lucidchart We can create a more organized structure.
What do you like best about the product?
This platform allows easy creation and exchange of professional diagrams. You can support the needs of your company in terms of communication and collaboration, from project management to brainstorming or even system design. It is easy to use and the interface is organized, it allows you to navigate without problems. It has a great variety of tools and functions that allow you through keyboard shortcuts to establish a work flow and save time.
What do you dislike about the product?
our experience has been satisfactory, without problems, but at first it was a bit overwhelming to have so many tools and functions that we did not know how to implement. As time went by, now if we can take advantage of all those virtues that the platform provides us. If they improve a little this could guarantee from the beginning a better performance to the user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use lucidchart to create flowcharts for better management in marketing processes and export them to PDF and share it with our clients. This contains a very large variety of templates that has served us perfectly to send the desired content correctly and in a simpler and faster way, in this way our work team maintains a working fluidity and significant time savings. The tools for creating graphics are very easy to use as well as sharing and collaborating. We are happy with the results obtained.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is suitable for any company, since you can easily create a flow chart or design plan and this provides us with significant time savings for the company, since it allows us to focus on other areas. It also allows you to share, collaborate, present ideas, organization charts, among others. You also have the opportunity to make simple sketches and posts for clear communication with our team or with the board. Totally recommended.
LucidChart was great... until it wasn't
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of drawing charts, ability to share those documents across the team and collaborative editing. It's great to have a document open and simultaneously edit with your teammates.
What do you dislike about the product?
The movement of objects and the drawing of arrows is awkward and error prone. When trying to move an object, you nearly always inadvertently draw an unintended arrow. Arrow manipulation is also sub-par in its ability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Diagramming process flows and org charts. The biggest benefit is the mutual development with others, but several changes LucidChart has made recently is mitigating any benefits we've received thus far and increasing the likelihood we'll move off this platform as soon as we can.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have a look at what they've taken out of the product recently. They are making dramatic shifts AWAY from ease-of-use and increased functionality. They also shift minor functionality into their higher-end Enterprise licenses that are not really enterprise in nature, but intended solely to extract higher money from customers. They are extremely confused about the meaning of the word "teams" because they'll tell you that you can put things in a "Team Folder", but you really can't, because you can only have "Team Folders" in Enterprise version. What they really mean is that you can put things in a folder and invite your team to that folder, which is quite a bit different.
They recently have removed several capabilities from even their professional license (e.g. removing toolbars, forcing users to hunt through menus to find what they need). Overall, their product managers are making questionable decisions that are impacting overall User Experience (UX). Then, when customers complain, their support team uses the excuse that it was to "better align to their roadmap", which is a lousy answer in general. They can't actually justify a user-based reason for the changes, and that means they're not focused on the users in general. Making changes that reduce user benefit without being able to explain it to the users is a red flag to new customers. Heed that warning carefully.

Amazing Charts, Diagrams, Etc. Made Here
What do you like best about the product?
The site is beyond user friendly! Creating flowcharts and organization documents is so easy and they look so amazing. Lucidchart takes my charts to another level and it's easy to do so! Lucidchart provides helpful hints as you work through different documents so you learn a little along the way. The templates provided gives me ideas on ways to structure my charts, or I can create my own from scratch. The grid lines provided and alignment features ensure my document is lined up and looks crisp and clean. There is also a search feature I can use in case I don't know how to do something. The export feature allows me to include the charts as images, or download as a Word doc or PDF.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything I don't like. The flowchart features are amazing!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm creating flowcharts and diagrams more efficiently and they look more professional! We are in the process of creating charts for our internal processes and we need to report these to our organization. Lucidchart allows me to EASILY create charts that look professional, clean, and organized. I used to design charts in PowerPoint or Excel, but the efficiency of Lucidchart made the switch easy!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's so easy to use there's not much to recommend! Familiarize yourself with the website to allow you to discover the various features that will make creating charts easier and even take them to the next level. Look through the templates to get ideas.
A user-friendly tool to make flowcharts
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use. It has a huge variety of shapes and customization options. The templates are useful as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had a few issues when I wanted to download and transfer the files in the appropriate formats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Make flowcharts for training colleagues and new recruits
Great tool for visual learners
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to visualize and drag and drop what you need
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly cant think of anything that I do not like
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Showing clients in an easy to understand format advertising/ sales funnels
Overpriced and manipulative packages
What do you like best about the product?
It is a solid tool for the basic flow charts that are needed. It only requires a minimum amount of training to get the hang of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The packages are overpriced for what you get as a tool. We were forced to upgrade to the "Enterprise" plan based on domain control and security compliance. Even then simple analytics of who is using the tool are not available without further cash upfront. We have escalated this through the account reps to no success. They won't even give us a list of users who have logged in the last month/quarter/year.
Integrations are passable at best, but don't really provide much value. Sure they have SSO, but the Salesforce integration is a joke and unusable unless you want to pay them even more money for an "upgraded version"

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It creates a flow chart. Not much more or less than that. It is a single purpose tool that does that one thing well. We have been pushing users to use gSuite or diagram.net so we don't have to pay for a single purpose tool.
The sure alternative to Microsoft Visio.
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart is web-based, and this makes it the most convenient diagramming tool for me.
It boasts of a flexible design, which makes it a good option for quick diagramming.
I can collaborate with multiple people at the same time, making it perfect for team styled collaboration.

What do you dislike about the product?
File revision management on Lucidchart is poor.Sharing functionality can be more effective than it is at present.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart is the primary software used in my company for flowcharts, visualization diagramming etc .It is used by multiple departments in my organization and fantastic for collaboration.
Easy to grasp collaboration software
What do you like best about the product?
I like the live editing feature as it allows me to collaborate with my team in real-time during a meeting. I also like the sticky notes that give it a whiteboard-like feel.
For wireframing, I like using the different flowchart related shapes that are easily accessible through a left panel. Also, I like how Lucidchart can handle more than 50 users at a time as seen during our meetings.

What do you dislike about the product?
I feel the scroll and zoom is not as smooth as it could be. I have trouble moving around on the board. Also, I feel the UI to be rudimentary and not aesthetically pleasing. The editor has a clunky and old school interaction with dull grey colours used. I also think it takes more time to load than the usual collaboration software. I am unsure if its because of the size of the file or the number of users collaborating or general experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We give consolidated feedback for projects with Lucidchart in realtime. It really helps to have everyone's comments together in the same place.
I also create flowcharts to help my team understand the flow of applications. I also work in conversation design and use Lucidchart to create dialog flows for chatbots. Using this software has helped me bridge the gap of brainstorming when working virtually. I am able to collaborate with my team and have whiteboarding sessions on Lucidchart without having to meet in person. It is definitely a useful tool from a distributed team collaboration standpoint.

Simple, professional charts and diagrams
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and built-in components make the tool remarkable simple to onboard with and produce elegant, professional diagrams.
What do you dislike about the product?
User management and sharing among the team can be complicated. More than once we've needed to contact customer support to get access to documents "owned" by a departing colleague.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a way to produce solid visualizations of complex data pipelines and application relationships for less technical stakeholders. Lucidchart has made this incredibly simple. The cloud storage means we never lose anything and can collaborate across the team to flesh things out!
Critical to building complex charts for my team
What do you like best about the product?
There are several things I like about this product:
- Ease of use
- Ability to expand the chart without sacrificing space
- Diagram/chart templates
- Easy to edit and update swimlanes, tables
- Relatively low cost

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more icons we could use in order to illustrate different points on the charts. For example, I wish there were specific Salesforce icons for when I am doing a chart or diagram related to the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before, my team was using Powerpoint in order to build charts. It was frustrating because you had limited space in which to build the chart and make it readable. Now that we use Lucidchart, it's cleaner, better design and we're not limited by the constraints of a product that isn't intended to create these charts and flows.
