Excellent Visual Tool

  • November 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of collaboration while using Lucidchart has proven itself time and time again. It is easy to share a chart within a team and across departments. Live editing for multiple users is also a huge plus. Integration with Microsoft Teams has increased collaboration as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lucidchart is still in it's early stages of maturity when it comes to combining data with visual components. Further development of their dynamic shapes and charting is still anticipated. Further development of their shape data fields (including formulas) and data linking management is needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Although Lucidchart's shape data fields need further development, they have been quite valuable in quantifying process metrics and data while diagramming process flows. Lucidchart has the potential to combine quantitative process data with the visual impact of a process map.

Great Platform for Process Mapping and Charting Work Flows

  • November 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the easy-to-use functionalities of Lucidchart, especially the templates that make it easy to modify and customize for your own processes. The object library is very expansive and you can easily find whatever shape you need to display your diagram. It is also very easy to share with colleagues who are not actively using the system, with access to download charts as a .pdf file.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only individuals who have Lucidchart accounts are able to access diagrams or files that are created within the platform, which makes it difficult for other non-users to work on the projects. This issue can be resolved by having colleagues create a free account, but it's one extra step that could hinder productivity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating workflows and clear processes for different projects (i.e. grants administration process and organizational work chart) at work is so easy using this product!

    Non-Profit Organization Management

User Friendly Tool

  • November 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the templates a lot, which enable me to figure out what I want.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like video training, but I do not find it so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used the Lucidchart to create two workflows - one for our annual performance evaluation, another one for our new hire folder process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I also use visio for the organization chart

Best Charting/ Diagramming tool ever!

  • November 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are a lot of different diagrams that can be built with LucidChart and a good variety of shapes and connectors for each type. The ability to use actions (like macros and links) and layers allow you to easily show current state vs. future state of processes, architecture, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only ask would be for automatic recognition of page breaks for swim lanes and process flows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a solution architect, I document business process, network architectures, org charts, database entity-relationship diagrams, UI wire frames and solution context diagrams on a regular basis. LucidChart allows me to create and collaborate on all of the documents needed to convey a solution to my business and technical clients for acceptance and to pass on to my developers to build. My job would be a lot more difficult without LucidChart.

Great transition from Visio

  • November 21, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Cloud collaboration, no more emailing Visio's around and trying to figure out which one is the latest.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more industrial buildings and structures rather than just business offices. I do infrastructure design for some large industrial facilities and I may have to move this work to Bluebeam.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration is so much simpler with this tool. Much quicker designs are realized when all team members can work off of the same drawing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are using Visio, ditch it and switch to Lucid charts, your life will be much simpler.

Great functionality and ease of use

  • November 21, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to share and collaborate, and I really appreciate all of the available templates that show how lucid chart can be leveraged to create content.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first the user interface seems a little intimidating, so there is a small learning curve on getting familiar with the different tools as a whole. Not bad, but I think the user interface could be a little more user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Haven't had any issues, but have used Lucidchart to build out multiple new processes which have been very beneficial. I mostly use Lucid chart for flowcharts, but am excited to continue to leverage all of the existing tools that are available.

Invaluable tool for communicating our development information to key clients

  • November 21, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the clean intuitive interface. Everything is where you need it. The learning curve is short. I love that I can send diagrams to coworkers and clients for collaborative feedback directly on the diagrams rather than having them send email comments. It is also easy to organize files and use standard templates for different types of designs.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far the only thing I don't like is that I haven't been able to keep a standard set of shapes so that I don't have to open what I need each time I create a new file. I also don't like that some of the shape libraries require an upgraded license. I think it should be a single license level with all features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use LucidCharts to diagram out software application workflows, entity diagrams, state diagrams, as well as our network diagrams for our managed service clients. These are critical in our application design process. So LucidCharts gives us the ability to do our design work collaboratively with ease and include our clients in the design process. So far our clients love the ability to see and comment directly on our designs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Lucidchart is definitely worth evaluating. We tried it out as a replacement for draw.io and found that some of our team love it and some just don't want to change to a new tool. So far no specific limitations have been found so we are happy to continue our license and usage.

Highly Recommended

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart is an intuitive and easy to use way to communication information quickly. You can build out a base diagram in a few minutes and share it with others for quick collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few of the newer integrations are still a bit weak and could use some tweaking
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team uses Lucidchart to put concepts to paper and look at the interaction between cross-functional teams. In doing this we have pinpointed ares of overlap (wasted time) and gaps in the process where confusion grows. Mapping out these processes before we change anything allows us to share the concepts with the organization before any resources are impacted from the change.

    Education Management

Easiest way to visualize

  • November 21, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart allows me to in minutes, draft and share and collaborate designs of AWS architecture, process flow charts and timelines for roadmaps easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
More shapes. If we could get more shapes that can be used in a narration of conversations for example that would be helpful as well as better augmentation of callout shape.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to create and review proposed application and service changes. It is great for sharing and publishing also being able to show it from my mobile device is very helpful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great tool for schools and tech companies alike. Integrate it wherever possible.
