LucidChart + Salesforce Architect Templates = Awesome
What do you like best about the product?
Having access to product specific icons and such is really helpful. I work in the Salesforce ecosystem, but there are bits here for AWS, Google and others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that I could customize the toolbars. I turned off all the default snapping options because they were not working how I wanted. I wish that I could add the align menu to the toolbar as a shortcut.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to create a clear, comprehensive Business Drivers and Capabilities map that served to clarify and prioritize my clients Salesforce implementation needs.
Very easy to use to make excellent charts
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart is really straightforward forward it makes it easy for beginners (which I currently am) to use. But it has so many amazing features, it really is the perfect charting platform. While my first chart was fairly basic, I know my team members have made some amazing networking charts that really take my breath away.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think there is anything I've disliked about Lucidchart so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to write processes out with dot points, now I am able to write them out using Lucidcharts and they are much clearer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Lucidchart can do so much. It is a fantastic tool, but don't be overwhelmed by its potential. You can easily start of small and teach yourself how to do the more complicated charts and features over time.

Fantastic and easy to use with simple UI and very small learning curve

Shapes library could be enhanced further to include more shapes focused on frameworks like TOGAF, PRINCE2 and others.

Architecture and product planning with key benefit realized of easy and clear presentation

The variety, quantity and quality of templates that help you initiate activities
What do you dislike about the product?
In complex maps it can be difficult to select/move shapes within larger shapes, it can be a little clunky. Also the subscription prompt when you hit free limits was a little annoying, I thought it would take you through to a screen to confirm charges etc., but clicking the button immediately subscribed you and charged for a full year. I believe I will get full use out of the product though and it will not be wasted money. Just a little more transparency would've been good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Process mapping, business architecture maps, system architecture. The benefits with templates can prompt further ideas or questions to investigate.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Lucidchart is an excellent tool, in some ways a lot more accessible and useable that Visio. The raft of templates available is excellent and helps with the starting framework of any activity you'd plan to undertake with it.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of navigation for the UI and extensive capabilities
What do you dislike about the product?
There are minor UI issues that, if resolved, can save a lot of time. E.g., when creating connecting lines, they can behave oddly, causing me to fix them manually. It doesn't seem possible to change the default lines for ERD crow's nest diagrams. In addition, adding a new row for the ERD diagram defaults to font eight instead of consistently 10.

They are providing documentation for monolithic programs.
Lucid Charts better than Visio
What do you like best about the product?
ease of use, easy to navigate, copy paste from other visuals, applying themes, able to search for icons, love how the lines connect and able to easily select pointer type or straight line or curved line.
What do you dislike about the product?
if I search for cloud icon or gear icon I cannot insert text inside the icon it is always outside which distorts some of the text specially on a line. cannot rotate text on a line to verticle. it is always horizontal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
mapping process flows and business flows. A picture is better than a thousand words so Lucid chart is my best friend right now.
Lucid charts is a nice flexible tool

Allows you to draw various types of diagrams, so it is very flexible

There is nothing I dislike about Lucid charts

Drawing ontology diagrams with shared access across our team. Any member of our team can update the diagram ad export is in any format they wish.
Great collaboration

I like how easy it is to collaborate with team members.

Lucid spark is hard to organize at times.

Live collaboration from virtually anywhere.

Beginner in LucidChart and loving it
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of use. The ability to use various well-known thumbnails like for AWS, Azure or GCP.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tutorial section of LucidChart seems to be wanting, especially for first-time users. This could have been much better designed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to create better system design diagrams to articulate the solution to both technical and non-technical folks clearly. LucidChart is very handy in telling a story with minimal words.

LucidChart is a professional tool to create professional-looking tech diagrams. Use it if you can pay for it.
