Online Collaborative Diagrams

  • May 24, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The collaborative and cloud-based aspect of the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is certainly a learning curve when using Lucid Chart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team creates visual diagrams for clients, allowing them to visualize their services and make changes. It alleviates confusion and helps visual learners simplify what our team offers. We can also use this tool internally, to help the team visualize new processes and workflows.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Fluid and easy to learn, Lucidchart is an excellent choice for diagramming software. Well-stocked libraries of templates and objects make it a valuable tool for non-designers. It also offers great collaboration support and real-time co-editing. Lucid chart also has integration capabilities with Salesforce. There is a slight learning curve, but there are templates (though they may lack some fields necessary). My understanding is that Lucid also integrates with Microsoft and Github. The software can even be used for layouts, blueprints, or visual boards. The possibilities are endless.

Clean visual & storyboarding tool

  • May 24, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a visual learner, I really enjoy being able to map out processes and ideas in Lucidchart. It's also easy to collaborate with my team as we can use the drag and drop functionality during brainstorming sessions. I've mostly used the board for storymapping, but I'm excited to create other types of charts.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes some time to get used to the platform. We also had some initial issues sharing boards with other team members who would receive an email invitation but still didn't have access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This helps remote team collaboration on more complex planning where multiple steps and collaborators are involved.

LucidSpark

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Out-of-the-box graphics that allow me to quickly sketch designs along with the intuitive drag and drop interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is very high, and there is no start-up package.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the biggest problems we face as an early-stage start-up is articulating our vision to external consultants/investors. Lucidspark quick and adaptable platform allows me to put my vision into a digestible graphic that can be presented accurately sketch out concepts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't waste time with free alternatives online; this tool will provide you with everything you need.

Easy to use software perfect for software consulting

  • May 24, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very intuitive. I never had to use Google to look up how to do something. Lucidspark takes the work out of creating flowcharts so you're only focusing on the task in hand. Creating shapes and lines is very easy and a sensible palette of colours is available to make highlights. The canvas automatically resizes when you run out of space which I wish more software did. You work is autosaved from when you first create a document so you never have to worrk about loosing your work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing stands out. Editing text can be a little bit awkward. I can't see a way to use smaller subtitles under the main text on a shape but I'm sure there's a way around this. It would be nice when hovering over arrows you help text appeared to describe their normal use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been creating database models for Salesforce implementations as well as process diagrams. Lucidspark makes it very easy to brainstorm and then rework on the fly. When I start working on a task in Lucidspark I can see all information in one place allowing me to consider the solution before comitting. Lucidspark allows me to present concepts to clients all on one screen which helps communicate the solutions I have created. I haven't used conditional formatting yet but I wish I had checked out this feature before.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to create flowcharts then you don't need anything else, you've found your solution.

Lucidspark as a lifesaver in remote settings

  • May 24, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark has enabled our team members spread across geographies to collaborate effectively in a virtual setting. There isn't much of a learning curve to use the tool and enabling the team use the whiteboarding tool was such a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a certain degree of lag when moving the sticky notes over the canvas. This can be because of some issues with my browser with multiple tabs open.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are designing an overall system architecture to schedule deliveries of essential medical supplies to elderly people in various cities. The tool has proved to be very beneficial in identifying bottlenecks in the delivery process. We have brainstormed and designed a very good model to meet the OTD and to optimize resources and their allocation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend that you consider Lucidspark for all your collaboration and product ideation needs. It is a wonderful tool to empower collaborators to share their ideas and concepts and gather inputs in the development of process blueprints.

A one stop shop for everything!

  • May 24, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is the ultimate tool for SCRUM projects, or any project for that matter. I have used it for both short and long winded projects!

What I like the best is the ease of use, and the completness of the app. Most other apps tend to have a very good featureset with bad UX, or a very good UX with just a handful of features. Lucid does both better in my opinion.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes navigating through the shapes and tools is hard for newcomers, but that's easy to learn! I haven't had a colleague spend too much time getting to know the app, most people tend to get the hang of it right away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're doing everything, from diagrams to retrospective meetings, discovery meetings, everything. My favourite would be discovery meetings, because, unlike other apps I've tried, Lucid doesn't put any ties on how you want to run your canvas - it is perfect for brainstorming and sharing ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a go, play around a bit, and you'll easily find your way around the app, it's not hard! I recommend trying it out yourself before sharing it with the rest of the team, that way you can anticipate some questions and make sure you can have a better onboarding experience.

I would also recommend looking at some videos or tutorials, not because they are needed to get the gist of it, but becaue it will probably give you a couple of ideas to try.

What do you like best about the product?
You're given all the tools to easily create a visual representation of what you want to communicate
What do you dislike about the product?
It's sometimes difficult to work from the templates, takes a bit of playing around
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting what's in my brain out and in a clear way that helps other people to understand what I'm thinking. Especially good for flow charts

I got to present my ideas in a super organised manner.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of using the platform was amazing. With single clicks I could literally create entire single logic decision trees which were easy to understand by my team mates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. Frankly I love it. I really think this should be made freely available to all business process creators.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to show my teammates how we can set up a particular client's information and business flow. I used Lucidspark to do just that.
