It's a place to create workflows and diagrams with minimum amount of time

  • April 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Most of the components are ready to use and all users need to do is just "drag and drop". Whenever a client or a colleague needs to discuss a specific workflow, I would use lucid spark to aid my explanation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although lurid spark is made simple, would love to see an upgrade on the design. As a designer, I totally understand that the use case for lurid spark doesn't have to look fancy. However, most of the lucidspark's clients are professionals, if we could have components look more aesthetically appealing, that would be awesome. Or even a toggle between the simple version vs the designer version.

The artboard is hard to edit or uneditable. Maybe lucid can implement that whereby the artboard is adjustable much like Adobe software.

It's also hard to share a particular project as the other peer might have to login. Maybe have an option to allow non-logins viewable. (I might be wrong on this point/ unexplored)

There also should be customised and reusable components by the company or even better, provide a design system or integrate with XD/ Figma.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned above, I use it as workflows to communicate with my peers. The benefits are:

1. quick and easy to use
2. Drag and drop
3. Easy to type texts as they are connected with the component
4. Multiple projects concurrently
5. Easy to export as multiple formats
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's easy to sign up, free and great usability - easy to understand for new users

What do you like best about the product?
I like how everyone can colllaborate on the same sheet so items can be visually represented clearly
What do you dislike about the product?
Overlapping notes can be difficult to access so usually if I have to access one note I will remove the top layers and then put it back
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My experience with lucid spark has been great. Me and my team organise KPIs and objectives. Lucid acts as a sticky note board for brainstorming and then summarising those ideas

Intuitive way to collaborate as a group

  • April 22, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I liked that the elements were color-coded per user. The time was a great feature to have. Having the ability to create sections to group ideas and stickies was really helpful. The team enjoyed being able to "like" stickies and leave comments on any section of the board.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I tried to add people they did not seem to have access to contribute to the board. This was frustrating and could use some improvement. It also could have been because of the beta status of the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working as a product manager, this tool helped me in the ideation part of product discovery. It was a simple tool that allowed us to run remote brainstorming sessions and improve our idea generation and communication.

Great Tool for Visualization

  • April 22, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to implement with a team, create a quick visual representation for a project or topic, and how easily it can be accessed by group members.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not a huge downside to Lucidspark. There could be a few features added, but the software does everything it is designed to do when team members are remote.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem with employees working remotely. Instead of hopping on a phone call with little to no visual representation of everyone's thoughts, Lucidspark allows everyone to interact and contribute like they are in the same room.

Good tools, just not used as often in my role.

What do you like best about the product?
Great application, beneficial and helpful. User friendly and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price point is just not there for the amount of use. Free is always nice or having it as an addon, but hard to justify the cost per user when the co-authoring is not as heavy/required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Root cause analysis, the co-authoring, and ease of grouping info and users to add value in real-time is excellent.

LucidSpark - Great Product For The New Remote Workforce

  • April 22, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very simple to get you started right off the bat without confusing you with many options. It's like needing coffee and simply being given one without being asked for hundred different options. However, under the simple UI there are powerful tools if you need them for a pro-level presentation. Personally, most of the time the basics were enough for me as a means to make flow diagrams to convey my point across. Also really love the real-time collaboration that is provided, makes it so much more easier than to keep emailing design docs back and forth.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not sure what I disliked about it, there are some nice to haves that would have made it an even better product. Like by default importing all the previous lucid diagrams by default. Ability to have versioning (not sure if it is already there)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem in the pandemic era is the loss of the whiteboard. Lucispark was the closest product to a real whiteboard. I mostly used it to make design diagrams and it was very helpful in helping others visualize the design that you have in your mind. Having the team collaboration was a big plus in getting feedback
