Lucidspark is a great tool for operational development!

  • April 20, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that LucidCharts offers robust templates to meet a wide variety of scenarios. I also really like the chart implications that are provided in the template previews. Another feature I really like are the various export and publishing options and how easy it is to share diagrams with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't particularly appreciate that the data interface is only available on the paid plan. The requirement to upgrade for this feature wouldn't be as much of an issue if I were part of a larger organization as the cost to upgrade wouldn't be as much of a factor. Ideally, LucidChart would offer an in-between plan for small businesses. Another feature I feel is lacking in the plan I have is the ability to create a sliding progress tracker. From what I have seen, the only way to do this is to use a shape as the ticker and manually slide it to show progress. I would like to be able to have a data responsive ticker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LucidCharts to support efforts to improve organizational infrastructure. The main functionalities used provide internal operational support for Process mapping, Quarterly milestone tracking, and visualizing abstract concepts with a team. I plan to continue my use of LucidCharts to create org charts and my needs will likely continue to expand as time progresses.

What do you dislike about the product?
It does what you expect. Besides, sticky notes are limited in terms of colors.

The perfect visual tool to help our remote team collaborate and plan

  • April 20, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Getting started with a board is really easy. You can simply share a URL with team members and onboarding them is simple. The shapes and menus are intuitive and enable myself and my team to begin collaborating on a number of projects right away. Together we've facilitated strategic meetings with our board, hosted brand strategy workshops, completed vision timelines and mapped out all of our customer personas and JTBD frameworks. I am also a big fan of the unlimited canvas size meaning you can include multiple visualisations within the one canvas just by zooming in and out. The templates are also handy for some of the less obvious visualisations.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some handy tools in the menu that can organise your thoughts, like containers, that feel as though they are hidden, or could be more obvious. The icon doesnt really explain what the feature does so it's easy to gloss over in favour of some of the simpler shapes. In fact you could spend your entire time on the baords collaborating using the postit note shape without ever using anything else.

I'd love access to more boards on the free version too. As a small business the paid version is beyond our price point, so perhaps an easier to access plan for businesses like us would be helpful.

Lastly, if you are running Lucidspark on your browser on your laptop it uses a huge amount of energy and drains your battery very quickly!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are an office based team that has been working remotely now for over a year. Using the lucid boards have enabled us to replicate the kind of team ideas generation sessions we are used to having at the real white board in the office. I am now using the boards to visually map out, present and share strategic plans. Lastly, we have onboarded 4 new team members that we have never met during lockdown. I have been using the boards to onboard them, walking them through org charts and strategies and plans that are continuosly evolving.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have never used any kind of boards like this and are really missing a way to bring all of your ideas together along with your team then Lucidspark is going to be a really excellent addition to your tool kit. I have also found it is an excellent way to enable every member of the team to get interactive and no-one is left silent in a meeting.

Great for brainstorming, wireframing, and collaborating!

  • April 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Adding notes, wireframing copy, creating a legend, having comments visible across collaborators.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't say that I found issues yet in our current workflow/implementation of Lucidspark.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working remotely, Lucid Spark allows for our team to be agile and effective at communicating and collaborating. We can get buy-in earlier in the process before continuing further with a project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not hesitate to implement this platform into your workflow with your team, especially if you are working remotely. It is quite effective at visually showcasing ideas and getting everybody on the same page.

Lucidspark is an engaging group work facilitation tool!

  • April 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark simple to use and flexible. As a facilitator, it's simple to onboard users to the experience. Using the tools and templates, Lucidspark can support many types of discussions, working sessions, and group activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Voting feature did confuse some users and wasn't as intuitive as other tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Lucidspark to mind map possible solutions, team building activities, and process communication.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Flowchart for the future

  • April 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The greatest thing about Lucidchart is the ease of use and the fact that you could easily collaborate with other users. It's the next logical evolution for new users looking to get into flowchart making. You could also import existing flowchart documents from other software and into Lucidchart is also another plus because you could use this software and future proof these files for years to come.
What do you dislike about the product?
Editing the flowcharts still takes a bit to get used to. It is a lot easier than other software, and make no mistake; there is still a learning curve like all things. I would say that the learning curve is easier compared to others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am creating procedures and process flow within the company. This includes drawing out diagrams and blueprints for the warehouse where we would typically need AutoCAD software. But with Lucid, it's been great.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it, and it will change your file for the better.

was looking to push forward my personal engagement levels in meetings I run

  • April 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
teammates see the value you place on meeting, you come off as someone who cares not only about the topic of the meeting but the engagement level of your colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found it a haul upfront to engage with. I think the internal branding between lucidspark and lucidchart is confusing and I am not sure how clients en masse are going to figure that out and engage with each appropriately
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
engagement on calls, ways to collaborate virtually to replace whiteboarding for in person meetings.
