Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look no further
Ok but not enough value to us to purchase
What do you like best about the product?
Easy and quick to get started, low barrier to entry. This can be a good and bad thing but for the purposes of this product I think it's a good thing. If the diagrams need to become part of a more structured information repository they could be copied across.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not enough unique value above lucidchart. We can get what we need directly from LucidChart in most instances. When I asked the team who had been using it if they were desperate to keep it I didnt get a strong positive response. No one had an objection, just not enough positive demand to justify keeping it beyond the trial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick diagrams for design conversations in collaborative meetings. We have lots of meetings and are a young company designing and building a product with lots of pull on the product side. We are still very reactive to new customer requirements so when that comes in we will try to implement something quickly. It does work well in this scenario but so did LucidChart for us as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good product but it might not offer sufficient additional value above and beyond a diagramming tool. I would ask what you are looking for up front. The product is easy to use andget started with. The single-sign-on works very well as does the sharing. The sharing can be a little confusing at times for some users, as it integrates with different sharing tools, slack email etc.
Non-techy, very useful, a brainstormers dream
What do you like best about the product?
I got into Lucidspark because I was conducting a big meeting for all my teachers and we had many subjects we were brainstorming on. This tool was extremely useful in keeping all of our information organized and at hand to refer back to during our meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything I dislike yet. I foresee using this tool in the future for other projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of using a notes app or documents to write out our brain-stormed info, we were able to make it more visual. It really helped our ideas come to life and felt like a much more creative process.
A great tool for Virtual Learning
What do you like best about the product?
I am in K-12 education. I love the ability to use Lucid Spark as a virtual whiteboard for leading adult learning as well as for actual students. Within spark, the follow and call features are great, as are the breakouts and other tools. I also am very fond of the pre-made education templates and the ability for me to make a resource for teachers, save as a template, and widely disseminate.
What do you dislike about the product?
From an education perspective, it would be very handy for teachers to be able to easily "silence" any student who is being intentionally discruptive. I know this doesn't likely happen in business contexts, but in K-12, it is not impossible that there might be a student who might make mischief . . .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid helps to solve the problem of teachers using disparate sources to find high quality graphic organizers and other templates.
Easy to use, multi-purpose tool to improve team collaboration and documentation.
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use and access from anywhere you want. It has many great features helping to improve collaboration and facilitate meetings. In particular, I enjoy the team retrospective template, which gives me everything that I need to run a successful retrospective, from the actual board and cards to features like timer, ability to vote, and organize cards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it isn't easy to convert a document to a print version, which results in re-doing and re-sizing the original document ensuring it looks good a print version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it for documenting business processes, flow diagrams and as a collaboration tool for our organization. For example, we use Lucidspark for team retrospectives, brainstorming sessions, and to visualise complex business processes.
