Lucidchart made desktop visual creation tools obsolete for me
What do you like best about the product?
Even with a marginal internet connection, I'm able to access my Lucid drawings from anywhere anytime. No longer tied to a fixed workstation that has Visio. And I can easily update, then share changes via gmail links. Plus any changes are instant and I don't have to worry about saving and keeping up with versioning. Plus I like the option to make the drawing an "infinite canvas."
What do you dislike about the product?
I really liked the previous layout of Shapes sidebar. The new gray-lined selections are too small and the thumbnails are impossible to see. So it now takes me twice as long to see and select a specific shape that I want to add. Please change it back to just the larger visual thumbnail. Other than that, the ease of insert / copy / paste etc. is still there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
quick drawings to illustrate a solution design for a customer. I also use it dynamically to draw out simple visual workflows while doing a shared desktop via Zoom.
Great online coedit tool for visualizing efforts, kaizen and kanban board
What do you like best about the product?
Free to start, free for basic usage. Simple to start using quickly. Paid options unlock a richer set of features. Ties in with Lucid whiteboarding app.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not as integrated of a product as some competitors while still priced similarly.

Process mapping and customer journey
Great tool for real-time collaboration (though only really shines if combined with Lucidchart)
What do you like best about the product?
- Performance is very smooth (no lagging even with >20 people on one document)
- Easy to learn for clients (you can get brainstorming within 1-2 minutes), which is especially important for us as consultants who want to make the experience as smooth as possible for the clients.
- Integration with Lucidchart is useful: You can prepare diagrams with custom shapes in Lucidchart (these custom shapes are very important for our work), then copy-paste them into Lucidspark for easy brainstorming, then copy-paste them back to turn the brainstorm into professional visuals.
- Useful facilitation features (such as 'call to me', 'follow others') that help you guide conversations and orient participants on the massive infinite canvas.
- Amazing customer support if you are on an enterprise plan. They are very responsive and invested in helping you push for product adjustments.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Lucidchart's and Lucidspark's functionalities overlap to a large degree. They are both cloud-based diagramming tools. Chart is a bit stronger on its versatility (diagrams are more customizable) while Spark is a bit easier for facilitation (since the interface is cleaner and it has more stable performance). Since these differences are so slight it is hard to comprehend why integrating the two as a 'Lucid suite' (which is how they are intended) doubles the price.
- If it weren't for the Lucidchart integration, I do not see where Lucidspark's USP is compared to Mural and Miro. If you really want Lucidspark to shine, you need to couple it with a Lucidchart license - which will make it slightly more expensive than its competitors.

We consult organizations on strategy and organizational change projects. A large part of our approach consists of facilitating shared understanding among key stakeholders. Before the digital days, we would do this with our proprietary Metaplan card moderation technique which consists of moderating a discussion and simultaneously visualizing the arguments made in this discussion. Lucid enables us to bring this technique into the digital realm. We have created digital versions of our boards and cards and can now let clients use these tools to brainstorm and visualize their ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to diagram with people outside of your organization, Lucidspark is a great choice, since it allows you to create anonymous links that let people collaborate without creating an account and buying a license. This is also helpful if you work with large groups of people.
If you diagram mainly within your organization (i.e. everyone gets their own license anyway) then you should take advantage of the additional features that Lucidchart offers. This is especially true if you want to use custom shape libraries (which do not, yet, exist in Lucidspark as a standalone product).

The pricing could be a bit more accommodating to SMEs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My job requires lots of presentations on PPT. Lucidspark makes this a breeze. The built-in templates and shapes make creating or drawing business processes easy. I find the interface much more easier to work with than Microsoft Visio.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a very good alternative to MS Visio. However, for the price point, you may want to reconsider. If you can afford it, then it would kame ur life much easier.
A Game-Changer for Online Collaboration

Lucidspark is great for brainstorming, coming up with ideas and making the creative process smooth and collaborative.
What do you dislike about the product?
The features can be a bit overwhelming at first but once you've invested a bit of time learning the platform, you can see how beneficial it is to your work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were finding it too difficult to brainstorm ideas before Lucidspark. We would often input into a word document, which was pretty lacklustre. Through all of its capabilities, we now have almost limitless possibilities when it comes to planning, idea generation and delivering projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Invest time at the beginning to get used to all the features.
Great easy to use cloud based mind mapping and flow chart tool

Ease of use and flexible cloud-based access. I have evaluated a number of products but that has the right balance between ease of use and power and output looks professional

Nothing I dislike. It seems easy to create and join objects

Perfect, Easy-to-use Mind Mapping and Process Mapping Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I urgently needed a flexible tool that allows me to mind map a project, and after a recommendation from a colleague, I was able to pick up this tool with ease. I needed no training; everything was super intuitive to use. I started with one of the many templates that in LucidChart to get me started.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wished there was an easier way to export the results to a document for printing. Also, I wished there was some tiered licensing, where (a) with the full license, you can do everything, (b) with a limited license, you can only modify, and (3) with no license, you can only comment. This tiered licensing would make this tool more valuable to me. I always collaborate with colleagues and outside subject matter experts and vendors. I don't want to purchase a license for everyone (especially those who might only access it a couple of times a year).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need a tool that allows me to brainstorm and set up an intricate decision tree. It needs to be flexible to move things around with ease as my thought process evolves and as I gather outside input.
Lucidspark is great
What do you like best about the product?
It's perfect for brainstorming ideas and collaborating with internal colleagues
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if external "guest" users can access and edit lucidspark boards that are created by licensed users. This way I could also use this as a brainstorming tool with customers and not just as an internal tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was brainstorming and building a holistic map of the problem statement.
Awesome tool!
What do you like best about the product?
LucidSpark mis very effective for document review and makes it very easy to divide it. Creating connections , networking devices, and adding text. It is simple to use and the learning curve is small.
What do you dislike about the product?
most of the tool is great and there is not a lot to dislike, i would like an option to link with other tools like visio.
