Great replacement for Visio and easy to switch too

  • August 08, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Our teams are cross platform and Visio just wasn't cutting it - too much hassle.

So we made the switch and our staff picked it up instantly.

Best part about it, we can easily collaborate and create templates for our teams to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints to date. Perhaps, some more opportunities to integrate with other solutions would be great, but not necessary at this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary business problem to be solved was easy of use to deploy the system. The benefit we have realized is cross project collaboration and leveraging the tool as a knowledge repository for templates.

An amazing tool for multinational teams.

  • August 06, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
-It shows edits in more or less real time, and allows everyone to see who is working on what.
-The lane/container functionality, which allows one to shift all objects within a container without impacting anything else on the diagram/map is a life saver.
-Inserting steps in a process couldn't be easier - no reconnecting of lines required, the software automatically splits the flow.
- An impressive library of shapes.
-Overall an amazing tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
poor multilingual support. not only is the UI only available in English, but at least Japanese is rendered very strangely within the tool. I imagine other east Asian languages (especially traditional Chinese) would have similar problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work on process improvement projects with teams based in 2-3 countries on a regular basis. Visualizing a BP is one of the earliest steps we take to make sure everyone is on the same page, but it is really difficult to do when everyone isn't in the same room - or more correctly, when everyone isn't drawing on the same canvas. Lucid chart completely resolves that issue. Conducting teleconference/video conference meetings has become so much more efficient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get a trial and take it for a spin. I think that giving it a try will be far more insightful than reading reviews.

Simple, not as painful to use as Visio

  • August 06, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's simplicity. The fact that the joining lines don't fail like they do in Visio every time you try to connect process flows.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing that really jumps out at me that I dislike about the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mapping operational process flows. Creating org charts.

using lucid

  • August 06, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
it is very useful to describe a flow, using hotspots and layers.
What do you dislike about the product?
many times the components are not working as in the example. for example "context menu" - some rows become 'disabled', even though they are enabled in the markup.
usually refreshing the entire page solve it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
i'm using it for UI design for new features and applications.

  • August 05, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
User interface, app and web feature parity and my business partners using VISIO have no clue I am using Lucidchart! Bravo!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing-feature full and constantly innovating
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Value stream maps

An Easy-to-use and Internet-facing Diagraming Tool

  • August 05, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The perfect combination of rich-client user experience (very very fluent and friendly) and cloud storage (access from anywhere I want).
What do you dislike about the product?
I am located in Shanghai, China, so sometimes the website is a bit slow to access - not sure if that's caused by the geolocation or my own network.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business logic design, architecture design and group discussion - anything we want to illustrate with a clear diagram, Lucidchart is the one we use.

Great Technology

  • August 04, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to use flowcharts to clarify roles and responsibilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, we don't use the whole suite, but the ability to make flowcharts has been a game-changer for our school.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Roles and responsibilities for all employees, workflow issues, process solidification.

Better, faster, simpler - pick 3

  • August 04, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use, always there, easy to find icons. What is there not to like?
What do you dislike about the product?
Well it was (stress was) the ability to print directly from the application but that has since been fixed. So I guess I have to look for something else.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Highly complex large networking diagrams.

A Chart Producer's Lifeline

  • August 04, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart is extremely easy to use and to get the results desired in a short amount of time. The many selectable output formats work well for all intended uses.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would always like more chart shapes. Most of my chart design is for the presentation of information and relationships, so pictographics would be a nice enhancement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anything that is most easily conveyed in visual form, from complex investment structures to the mechanics of JV and M&A transactions. In 2 years of using Lucidchart I have never found myself unable to create the desired visual.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
No nonsense and ease of use. A valuable part of our armory.
