Intuitive and Flexible, But Large Diagrams Can Lag
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how intuitive and flexible Lucidchart is for visualizing complex ideas. It makes it easy to build process maps, data flows, and org charts quickly while keeping everything clean and professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, large or detailed diagrams can slow down performance slightly, especially when multiple people are editing. I’d also love to see more advanced templates for business process automation and CRM integrations out of the box.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bridge communication gaps between technical and non-technical stakeholders. It allows us to visually map out complex workflows, system architectures, and project plans in a way that’s easy for everyone to understand.

It's easy to pick up on and use. The platform is simple yet robust in creating flows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigating through a flowchart is difficult. It would be nice if the screen followed where the attention was at in the flow chart.

It is helping us to visualize the workflow and process flow from bidding to invoicing.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciated how the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite allows for easy creation of flowcharts, an essential part of my job. The platform stands out for its customization capabilities, enabling me to tailor flowcharts specifically to my needs. Unlike other tools I've tried, Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite lets me incorporate all nuances to create charts that effectively communicate complex topics and simplify them for students. It’s the only online platform I've found that supports this level of customization. Additionally, being a cloud-based tool makes it accessible and convenient. The free trial version, though somewhat limiting, allowed me to gain enough value to be satisfied with my experience despite its constraints.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the setup process for the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite initially difficult to navigate. Creating marks, aligning lines, and coloring or resizing boxes wasn't intuitive, and figuring it out required trial and error. Additionally, the free version is quite restrictive, allowing only editing of up to three flowcharts, which limits flexibility in my work. I also feel that the process for creating certain boxes or elements is somewhat cumbersome as it must be done manually, and it could be improved by incorporating AI and voice commands to streamline and tailor creation to personal needs.

It solves the problem of scattered communication by letting everyone collaborate in real time on diagrams, flowcharts, and brainstorming boards. It’s made our planning and documentation process much more efficient and transparent.

I really appreciate how Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite offers an intuitive and user-friendly interface for creating presentations and diagrams. The transition to using Lucid was straightforward because its GUI-based platform didn't require complex setups—everything was conveniently available in browser mode. I later downloaded the application for a complete experience. I find it particularly valuable that the suite provides online cloud availability, which ensures I can work from anywhere without the dependency on separate licensed tools like Microsoft Visio. This convenience reflects well on Lucid’s core offerings, such as its basic flow diagrams and the ability to craft network diagrams and architectures efficiently. The tools available simplify constructing organizational structure charts and proper view charts, making them incredibly easy and helpful to use for my work purposes. Additionally, the fact that it saves me time by automatically generating necessary diagrams after inputting data allows me to focus more on the 'actual stuff' rather than getting caught up in diagram creation. Furthermore, I'm impressed by the availability of many features on the basic license, essentially offering more upfront without the need for a separate license.

I dislike that not all features are available under a single license, which means having to purchase different licenses for different features.

I use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite to create presentations and diagrams effortlessly, replacing the need for tools like Microsoft Visio. It saves me time by auto-generating necessary diagrams, enhancing my productivity with its online accessibility and ease of use.
Flexible, Easy Integration for Cross-Department Initiatives
What do you like best about the product?
It's extremely flexible, customizable, comprehensive, and easy to use across teams. I love how quick it is to integrate into our team's daily workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using the trial becomes pretty limited when you nee to build out a more extensive flow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to try and diagram or plan everything in spreadsheets or powerpoint, but there are too many limitations on how you can use those tools. It's allowed us more flexibility and expanded our capabilities for successful cross-departmental initiative mapping.
Useful for Charting, But Layout Can Be Frustrating

So far it has been quite useful, while somewhat limited and confusing. However, it has helped me make a few charts

Sometimes you move one thing and everything gets screwed up and moves all around, like Adobe. lol

I appreciate how the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite enhances our communication with nontechnical team members through its diagrammatic capabilities. It's valuable for explaining complex technical concepts, timelines, and structures effortlessly to those unfamiliar with the technical side, which is indispensable for our team. The platform's versatility in offering a variety of interchangeable tools suits the dynamic needs of our fintech company, where we constantly navigate rules and legislation. The level of capability it provides is notable; despite not excelling in specific areas compared to other tools, it performs well across the board and is cost-effective. It supports my team effectively, especially when working with a large group of 50 or more, which is crucial for our current requirements. I find that using it for creating technical logic and roadmaps alongside compliance reviews consistently works well for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the initial setup of the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite slightly harder compared to its competitors, which could be smoother for newcomers. Although it remains manageable, the setup could be more streamlined in line with other tools. Additionally, while I appreciate its capabilities, I feel there are better tools available for specific use cases, such as Excel Draw for simplicity and Draw.io for being open source. Moreover, I wish the software had better integration with technical aspects, such as hooking into a codebase to understand differences between code versions and help create technical insights. This improvement in technical support would enhance its utility significantly.

I use the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite to simplify communication of technical concepts to non-technical audiences through diagrams, making onboarding and compliance discussions more effective and efficient.
