Powerful, Intuitive Tool for Team Collaboration

  • November 13, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its user-friendly design simplifies the creation of diagrams and flowcharts, making it accessible for users of all skill levels. Its easy-to-use and intuitive design encourages active collaboration on multiple charts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Handling large or intricate diagrams can lead to slower performance. Free tier only includes 3 documents and no Lucidspark access, which limits productivity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart's intuitive interface makes the creation of complex diagrams seamless, enabling you to visualize processes and systems efficiently. The suite provides numerous templates and tools for designing wireframes, facilitating quick iteration on user interfaces, which accelerates the design process. Finally, Lucid integrates well with common collaboration platforms such as Google Workspaces, enabling our team to plug Lucid into tools and processes we're already using.

Easy and Flexible Product for Visualization

  • November 12, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find that it's very intuitive for designing process flows. I use it often when thinking of how to improve our processes and document it so that we can share with our team. For example, one of our product's processes are documented in Jira and it can be difficult to follow along. I created the process map and shared with my team for review and it's received great feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I found a bit challenging was the shapes could not be changed when making a process map. Often, I start with an idea but then need to change those diagrams and flows a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned, demystifying our processes is currently benefitting the organizational knowledge transfer. Lucid's product can help me understand where the process is at in the status quo and then take a step back to improve and iterate on it.

Amazing Tool for creating flow diagram and workflows

  • November 12, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have used Lucid for creating flow diagrams and process workflows. The templates available are just awsome and makes life easier for a beginner like me. It has variety of options with different shapes to provide flexibility of work and show creativity. It's super easy to collaborate with other on a project. Conditional formatting makes it very useful sometime.
What do you dislike about the product?
Till now I haven't found any cons of using it. Just formatting options can be better which I feel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have seen other platforms also but the kind of customization options available in Lucid is amazing. Also as a beginner I find it difficult to make complex flow diagrams but the predefined templates available here are very useful.

A Robust Visual Collaboration Suite with Powerful Diagramming Capabilities (sans AI)

  • November 12, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I consider the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite to be a strategic asset that has significantly enhanced our team's ability to communicate complex ideas and processes through visual mediums. We use it every Sprint and the ability for multiple team members to work on diagrams concurrently, provide feedback through comments, and track changes has streamlined our ideation and review processes. One thing I like the best is the extensive shape libraries that make it easy for our team to produce professional-grade visuals without requiring design expertise. The seamless integration with JIRA has sped up the Product Owner to Developer timeline and required next-to-nothing in terms of implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area of disappointment for me has been Lucid's AI-powered features. While the core diagramming and collaboration capabilities are excellent, I've found the AI functionality to be somewhat lacking, no matter how detailed my requirements or instructions are. The AI-driven features like automated layout and content generation simply don't seem to deliver the intelligence and contextual awareness that I was hoping for. Even when I provide very specific parameters and examples, the AI-generated outputs often miss the mark in terms of capturing the nuance and intent I'm looking for in my diagrams. I don't use the software for the AI features so it's not a big deal for me, but as a feature I feel like it was rolled out too early in order to ride the "AI wave."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to Lucid, our team relied on a patchwork of different diagramming tools and software, which made it difficult to maintain consistency and robustness in our visual assets. Lucid has provided us with a centralized platform that offers a comprehensive set of diagramming capabilities. We can now ideate on diagrams together, gather feedback, and iterate quickly - all while maintaining a single source of truth. This has significantly improved alignment and reduced the back-and-forth that used to plague our visual projects.

Great functionality but hard to pick up for first timers

  • November 12, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I don't have many other tools to compare to, but Lucid definitely allows you to make some pretty great looking charts. My coworker had some beautiful figures in her documentation and I asked her - how did you do that?? And she showed me Lucid!
What do you dislike about the product?
I had to google a few times to figure out some basic functionalities. Also the snap-to-position wasn't quite as great as it is on Microsoft Powerpoint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making diagrams can make explaining software a lot easier. A clear diagram can turn a complicated system into something that peers can understand in under a minute.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to collaborate with others and create architecture diagrams. I use it about once on 2 months. Easy help is available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Might find it a bit painful to drag and drop or the inability to just copy the whole chart at once without selecting components. Integrating it is also quite easy, implementation can be more fluid.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
